I used to play with Chris Coletti from Staten Island, NY when he was about 10-11 years old in a Union, NJ church. He rapidly surpassed my level of skill in a few short years and went on to become a professional trumpeter in NYC. I am delighted to see him in this solo appearance. 🙏 Amazing.
Thanks, Frank!
You guys are actually the most inspirational players there is
You are actually the worst inspiration to my grammar.
Wishes In Life ikr
Amazing Grace + Dixieland jazz. That's an awesome combination.
I’ve listened to a lot of brass, but if I ever take trumpet lessons it will literally be because of this video.
I dream of playing as well as that.
I too
@Joshua Rampersad so how is it going with your playing in those 3 years!!? :)
It’s been 3 years. You sound this good... yeah I thought so
Right on, brother!!! Keep going for it!!
Keep dreaming you chaser
the tone on the last trumpet note was phenomenal. The best high C I've ever heard (I'm pretty sure it was high C)
Thanks ;)
Chris Coletti love that he actually replied to your comment... also love that each time they play this piece Mr. Coletti interprets the beginning, middle and end solo sections very differently and still very nice to listen to. Discovering one interpretation and imitating that is something of its own but to do that over and over again and still form a different yet equally coherent idea through ornamentation and phrasing is just amazing to me.
Its Reverse Plays it was a high g
Gabe M it's a C
Patrick Foit nah I’m sure it isnt
subscribing to this channel was the best decision I ever made, second to joining band!
Amazing Grace by Amazing Chris
Thanks!
This is so good. It’s an eargasm
I literally couldn't stop smiling the whole video😄
This feels and sounds like something from a Disney movie
@Maximo Duke ok hole up this comment is on a video of some band players.
I absolutely love this. What incredibly talented players and such an original arrangement!
My Uncle Mike’s fave song. He’s in Heaven now. Thanks!
Canadian Brass is the definition of hard work and dedication.
I got to meet Chris today in person at the Huntsville symphony! I get backstage a lot:)
I love the Canadian Brass. I wish they could visit my church in Dexter, MO
I've never really been a fan of this type of music, but I really ended up enjoying this rendition. So absolutely well done I think I'll give it another listen.
Bravo!
Looks as if the group has some new members. Keep up the good work, Canadian Brass!!
Canadien, sans doute un des meilleurs quintette!
Chris, big shoes to fill at IC for Frank Campos - my beloved teacher and mentor, the reason I went there. Best of luck - you'll do amazing things. Enjoy Hockett Hall - the best "little" space to perform a brass instrument.
I am writing the trumpet solo with MuseScore 2. It's not perfect but it should be enough. You are officially my favourite brass band. btw I play the trumpet too. I have a Yamaha 5335 Gll
well done chris....
keep it up....
Muito bom,sou brasileiro e fã de vocês
Watchah... What an amazing sound !!
this is amazing
My dream is to someday play in this group, but one can only hope
Same man but they're way good
Panda Gaming what instrument r u btw?
DurTeeDan I play trumpet
Panda Gaming good luck lmao
Achieve your dream. Achieve it for all of us.
Amazing indeed, amazing delicacy
wow such a damn!great!!!love it
...Bravos, Brevíssimo!...
The fact that it doesnt start at the beginning saddens me
Magnificent ‼️
Amazing!
There is something extraordinary
I think the trumpet player is just a puppet; his eyebrows are controlling his playing!
parkjammer I do that a lot lol
Same idk why its like an instinct lol
parkjammer ...don’t let your eyebrows get into the act. You’ll end up looking like Jerry Colonna.
every brass player knows that its uncontrollable... lol
Well, obviously.
Thanks for sharing
Very nice,thk you.
amazing
Major props to Hudson on piccolo trumpet for giving that clarinet sound.
When you play that well. You have mastered the instrument as of Flight of the Bumblebee. I knew Maynard Ferguson he was my inspiration
Elegantissimi...musicalmente.
Bravooo! !!!
Bravo ,Bravo .
That tone is sweet
bravo
I want to be like all of you, except I want to be more like the tuba player more. #TubaLife #TubaPlayersUnite
Why would you want to be old???
that was sweet. sounded more like a cornet. lovely playing.
Chuck, 70 years and don't feel them
Encore!
Gloria a Dios en las Alturas
Wow 😮
今度来日したら見に行きたい……
Oh that Tuba!!!
これはすごい。デキシー調で流す奏法にしびれます。クラシックで鍛えたリズムや音は他者を寄せ付けません。拍手。拍手。
YAAAAAAAAAAAAS SLAY CHRIS SLAY!!!!!!
Que obra más bonita es sobre todo el solo de trompeta se puede conseguir la partitura me encantaría poderla tocar
Omg
Does anyone else hear snippets of tuba tiger rag in this?
No one can escape the high range
Could you imagine how funny it would be if Chris accidentally hit the table thing in the middle of playing or in the beginning🤣🤣
0:20 Was that first lick a quote from Take the A Train?
Giant kettledrum in the middle ;)
Just like Ronald Rhom.
Ah, yes
Naahhhh, not all the way haha, Ron was better in my opinion
Is Chris playing a Bach artisan?
2:30
the type of guy who wiggles his eyebrows to express his emotions while playing
Having Italian blood always helps make one a better musician...
no high f at the end :(
That tuba looks different. Is it part carbon fiber?
am i hearing a take the a train 0:22 in that beginning damn
xavier simms i noticed that too!
2:44 tuba player crack a note but thank fully it got covered
Go f**k yourself
Jimmy Millen if you play tuba it's pretty hard to miss it
At some points Chris sounds like he could have trained under Wynton Marsalis... great job
both he and Caleb are amazing trumpet players as well as the rest of the Canadian brass. It's great to see this group continue the tradition of the original group. What this puppet comment has to do with musicality, I don't know!
The mixed up stereo killed me
and that kids, is how i met your mother
Edan
Say Heah, What a Nice Way to Pray, Great Tooting Fella's, Dilly, Dilly, oh, I stole that from a Budweiser commercial, heh heh heh.,,.p
l
こういうの聴くと発奮されて吹きたくなっちゃうんだよねー。しかし音がデカいから近所迷惑になるからなぁとか考えるとためらう。雨戸閉めれば少しは音マシになるかな
のんのん yes
Mnozil Brass clone? Very good, either way! /;D
I do believe the Canadian Brass have been around a lot longer than Mnozil Brass.
PAIX DANS LE MONDE ENTIER ??????????????
Anyone else here that plays a woodwind?😂
The Shadow Of Darkness 😂funny you
Good! But I prefer Ronald Romm!!
They are gonna need a new tuba player soon
Nah, Chuck is gonna stay until he literally cannot play anymore
But why are all tuba players old?
I imagine, as a tuba player of five and a half years myself, it's because of how much more effort it takes to be recognized by a large audience. Many professional musicians the average person will think of are either singers or trumpet players; the ones who can blare out and get loads of attention very easily.
Marcy Nicole I hate to tell you, but ten years is a long time to someone who is aging. The CB will mostly likely, unfortunately need someone before then.
I play tuba.
No piccolo? Alright still good
Shit nevermind
Meh, seems a bit irreverent to me. But I guess I'm just too old fashioned.
