The replacement wrist ball joints offered by ModelModz appear to be sturdier than the original part. They are one piece ball joints with a brass insert.
Love the format of your vids Wayne! Following each one as I do my terminator and xwing builds. Just ordered the Millennium Falcon full kit and I’m so wishing you did issue by issue vids back in the day. I’m gonna be lost without them I think haha!
funny , the instructions advised glue just before putting the connectors to the tendons , which I should have heeded your advise from the beginning. Oh well lesson learned from a master builder ;)
wow it's amazing to see what you build a specially the terminator. I'm a big dan of terminator hopefully they still sell the terminator series. hard for me to find it in Malaysia. but im still enjoying to see your video
I wonder if they'll include the palm hydraulics. There doesn't appear to be any places to attach them. It's difficult to tell what type of cable housing they used. Are they flat-wound or round-wound? By that, I mean are they made from round wire that has been wound to create the sleeve, or flat wire, so that the outside of the sleeving is flat? The screen-used arms had flat-wound cable housing, but all the official replicas have round-wound. -I have literally hundreds of reference photos of screen-used Terminator parts, including dozens of the various endo-arms. The arm in T-1 is actually a bit different to the arm in T-2, as is the prosthetic articulated arm that was used in the scene when the T-800 cut the skin off its own arm. I've been building a T-800 life-size skull and life-size arm, from kits. They both have a bunch of errors, especially the arm, so they require a lot of re-working (and many, many hours) to make them screen-acurate.
Cheers. That seems to be a common error between all endo-arms and life-size endos. Strangely, every life-size full endoskeleton is full of glaring errors too. It makes me wonder who is licensing them, because I can't see Stan Winston Studios missing their mistakes.
Now we're getting somewhere! I've had the hand on and off the 3 ball joints so many times it's unreal lol, i found the tendon springs are long enough to put in first then push the ball joints together, done. Tool shop for the cutters usually used for telephone cables 😉
Great video wayne, whats the articulation like in that wrist joint? Hope it's secure and the big piston wont pop out of the ball joint, I've seen on the nexus video!🤔
It doesn't articulate very well at all. Mine has very little side to side movement but it rotates quite freely, sadly though the plastic 2 piece ball joint snapped on 1 half so a replacement t required. Poor design really. Should have been a solid ball like the other 3.
Hey Wayne! Just a quick note: the Amazon link should work also outside the UK. I ordered myself the screws you mentioned for R2D2's helmet instead of the plastic ones and they arrived ok, only a bit later than usual. This is from Italy, I don't know about other Countries
the ball joint that connects the arm to hand in this issue is very very weak, mine broke, i didn't add superglue like it says maybe it's best to do so. just been in touch with Hachette Partworks for a replacement....off shore call center, hard to understand the call operator but hopefully I'll be receiving a replacement issue
@@cashbb1 I emailed hatchette partworks just to back up the poor English with the phone call and they are sending me another copy of part 24.. I sure wish they would make this available for us in the states even though I’m still working on R2d2 maybe by the time I finish him this will be available.
Finally received the missing ithat went missing in the post. Time to do a 12 issue catch-up. The gun received with subscription is amazing. Just now realising how big this is going to be. 😮

Oh yeah its all coming together
Awesome looking arm 🏆🏆🏆
Excellent video. One question: what happened to Ecto 1?
Its released at the end of the year

I did but then I realised the big ball joint goes in further then I had it. It is quite secure now.

That's bloody awesome mate till next time have a good one
Brilliant Wayne 😀
I saw you crossing those springs and was saying "there's the mistake for this video" lol
I corrected it then thought no. I prefer the cross in the middle so changed it back :D
Really enjoying your build with this, keeping me entertained until release in Oz.

I didn't force it to much but it does take on some load so I am not surprised.
Mine broke too, got a replacement but I think the issue is with the mould as it still looks off. Glued it up, see how it goes

Hello Wayne, all of a sudden the arm looks really creepy, great video, Lee.
Question wayne do u know of anyway to get this shipped into the u.s. i want this build so bad.
Not at the moment but I have fed back to Hatchette about the overwhelming interest across the pond.
Thank you
@@jonarmour3934 eBay sells parts, but will be expensive.
Jon Armour eBay. That’s what I’m doing. I have a seller who’s not killing me in price.
@@CagedSUPERMAN does your ebay seller have enough that i could get in on that deal?
I reckon it will go head neck left shoulder and right shoulder then left arm right arm and eventually chest
Prob just as were expecting the final parts for the other hand we'll get feet parts 🤣 and be told put it aside
Hi Wayne you should have moved the wrist on the video.it looks like it will move.
I sure wish they would make this available for us in the states even though I’m still working on R2d2 maybe by the time I finish him this will be available.
SPOILER: No glass tubes were smashed during the filming of this episode.

Lol, received the phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range today, I was gobsmacked when I received it, its massive 💀
Its stupid that they made the ball points plastic considering they are the main support to keeping the hands on. Plastic with metal screws don't mix.
can't wait for my next issue's so i can build my terminator arm back scratcher.
? Does the issues come once a week or once a month. Cause that is looking great I can't wait for the ecto 1 issues.
Once a week
@@WorldofWayneUK sweet will u be doing the ecto 1 when it comes out next year cause I subscribe to it.
@@michaelglogg7556 Oh yes
Going to attach those tendon bits to the hand first ? Great vid
Schönes Modell. Gibt es leider nicht in Deutschland
Listen to me very carefully....
That was very fidelity, next time can you zoom on the tiny bits ?
I will try but the closer I zoom the more chance my hand covers everything up.
