What a great song! I'm hearing more Irish Rover songs than I knew even existed. I would love to visit Ireland someday. My dad's maternal grandparents came to America from Ireland; his mom was born in Pittsburgh, PA. His two sisters were in Ireland doing some family ancestry research in 2001 just a couple of months before 9/11.
Last year i was the first time in ireland on a boat down the shannon river and visited some pubs in the villages at the river and it wasnt the last time i went to ireland. The livemusic the people the good drinks will let me return to repeat it on and on.
Jeesus! You don't even know how much happy I'm after seeing this! Be very careful when you go to Ireland! - it's so damn easy to fell in love with it... :D Thank you for uploading this, 'fella! Have a wonderful day everyone!
돌담이 있는 밭이나 전형적인 아일래드 농가는 Foster & Allen이 부르는 동영상에도 나오는 장면입니다. 매우 아름다운 곳이어서 소개되는 것 같군요. Fields with stone walls and a typical Irish farmhouse are scenes from Foster & Allen's video. It seems to be introduced because it is a very beautiful place.
Thank God for this glorious land and her faithful children. Father Patrick, come again and save your sons and daughters from the flood of modern paganism.
Wish I could find the original audio this video is from, this is my favourite cover of this song and the official Irish Rovers cover is nowhere near this good.
This is great but I guess some people here will be annoyed to be told that this is an English tune called Dives and Lazarus. It found it's way to Ireland where it was given a swing and became this quintessentially Celtic-sounding song. Dives and Lazarus is a slow, sad tune by contrast.
Im from Serbia and i think Ireland is the most beautiful country.Greetings 'Rovers, you're the best!!
There's something beautiful about Irish music.
Irish Rovers are classic, there is nothing like them! :)

Many other folk songs and hymns use this tune.
Should there be any Wilson family in Ballyshannon, a salute from your shoe-string cousin from across the pond!

The Orthodox Celts definately do a great version xx
Irish Rovers are great, but Orthodox Celts' (Serbian band) version is better than this one. (:
Both are good, but they are nothing to the High Kings.
***** They are all good, but Celtic Thunder's version is (in my opinion) better! :)
Ова верзија је једно милион пута боља од Ортодокса
