Nice to see the new Wasp from Runcam. Decent camera, and the price of $140 for the set (vista and camera) not bad. Just glad someone will continue offer the DJI FPV gear. Great review Albert!!!
Ah yes...1080p 120fps every budget gamer's dream, now its every analog pilot's dream. Cant believe how good video transmission tech have advanced. Great review...!!
It's nice to see a 4:3 dji compatible camera. I have heard that this camera has better dinamyc range than the original dji camera, and thus it better at daytime. At night it adds more noise to the image. I prefer the colors on the runcam wasp at daytime and the caddx polar at nightime. Awesome flight footage and comparison Albert.
Great review of the wasp camera. Daylight image quality looks very good. Low light, the Polar smokes it. I like the price of the wasp/link. Happy flying everyone. 😎
Interesting new camera. I like the new runcam marriage with dji system. I don’t need to seriously pixel peep to tell the difference it’s pretty obvious to me at least. Thanks for the review. 😊🤙
the saturation seems more natural than the nebula pro which looks washed out, but the sharpening on the wasp is just way too high, everything has this white halo around it.
I got the nebula pro from caddx after my DJI camera died 2 months in. Caddx at the time told me they had run out of DJI cameras and I had to get the nebula pro. Myself, I don’t like it as much. Image is very nice, similar to the wasp. While I accept that 4:3 is desirable by some, I personally prefer the 16:9.
This is timely as I am doing a build but haven't decided what camera/AU Lite I was going to go with. I love the Neb Pro as I love 4:3 (especially with WTF.OS telemetry in the black margins). I also have a couple of Caddx Polar Flywoo's that are perfect for my after work low-light flying. This camera seems like a good compromise to me but hoping that it supports the WTF.OS jailbreak as it requires a firmware update.
What is this "witchcraft?" 120 fps? Awesome. I have a DJI Camera. The camera is great, color performance is awesome, but low light performance is lacking. I do actually prefer the polar vista. The lowlight performance allows me to fly in an almost completely dark room/area. The wasp seem to have better color performance and picks up more colors during daylight, but it, seems to be, rather poor in low light. The wasp has a feature set I'm sure would appeal to some, while other will be less impressed. I like it's daylight performance, better color profile, although it does seem a little more grainy. Great video!! Nice camera. I'm sure it will appeal to some pilots. Thanks for the introduction and comparison review.
@@Adam_Carbone it is possible that it has to do with the over sharpened picture but i think in the same frame the OG cam has more details in for example the grass them the wasp. The wasp has some compression going on where the og cam doesn't have that. The og cam is probably better tuned to the video link behaviour then the wasp. I noticed this compression issues in the 60fps cams to.
Nice comparisons. I think I'll pass on this one. Hopefully they release a "Pro" with HQ and adjustable settings. Will probably also need to be a nano since I'm figuring v3 AU and cam will be my goto for "full size" cams.

Hi Albert is the camera connection to the vista unit the same as the caddx ie can I swap camera’s same coaxial connectors
Yes, the Link and the Vista are identical.

Ahahaha Tustin, one of my old stomping grounds. Nebula pro looked better to me & the wasp looked horrible on TV.
Why does the wasp has more pixelation/smearing then the nebula pro/OG DJI Cam? I have noticed this on other reviews to.

They already made the Pro version... it's called the Falcon and he reviewed it last month.

It just looks the same from the outside. Probably some different lens elements on the inside.
