An easier way to install your workcentre as a network printer. This video shows how to put your Xerox workcentre in DHCP mode. This is useful for adding it to your network as a network printer. You have to have your machine plugged into your router via an ethernet cable for this to work. Once in DHCP mode, your router should assign the workcentre an IP address. Then you should be able to add it as a network printer to any computer on the network. You might have to power down the printer and power it back up after you set it to DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) mode.
Call us to order your replacement part. These machines are similar but have different reorder numbers. If you don't know what part number you need, we can look it up. We'll beat Xerox price.

Does the xerox 5225 generic drum fit the xerox 5550 printer? Changing the chip?
I’m not sure. We stay away from the generic supplies.

TangHandi Dot Com you should be able to connect a laptop to the printer via Ethernet, load a browser and then navigate to the IP of the printer.. From there just follow the menus.

kenan hasir, not all Work Centres were sold with network printing. It is possible that your machine doesn’t have it enabled. If that is the case, I don’t know how to enable it.
@@aaronbcollins2 Thanks for answer, machine has network part on it, when ethernet cable inserts, the yellow light turns on, on user manual it shows an option saying connectitvity and network on setting section. But on machine it has no thet option. I guess it needs to be upgraded but I dont know hot to upgrade to new firmware file

Since 2 to 3 months In my 5230 print quality is bad i can easily rab the printing matter with hands ..printing matter is not solid like stone .. what i do..???
Siddharth Singh that sounds like the fuser module needs to be replaced or rebuilt.

I'm not sure I understand.
I have an old but excellent xerox workcentre m123. There are two problems, one finding working drivers for Windows 10. The second most serious one is that I can no longer access the administrator menu. Tried with all the x-admin password suggestions and login 111111 nothing. Tried with Now hold down the number "0" on the physical keypad for 7 seconds
Without letting go of the "0" key, press the green "Hard Start" button
The touch screen display will now ask for a "Passcode"
Enter the numbers "6789" using the physical key pad, but nothing if I press administrator settings then everything freezes and it is no longer possible to press anything on the touch screen and not even the keys work and I have to turn it off and on. Is there a way to reset and get this machine working?

The screen in the video should display the IP address for the printer. I would put it in DHCP mode, let it restart and then check to see what the IP address is.
I have a confused to purchase a photo copier machine. my Four choice of machine is Canon IR 3300 / 405 and Xerox Work Center 5230 / 5335. Please tell me which is best among this 4. Noted that I want to use ir for commercial purpose and it is in an interior (village) area.
Rakesh Sen that is going to come down to the availability and pricing of parts and service in your area. It sounds like you live in a remote area (an interior village). I’d check and see whether it is easier / cheaper to get Xerox or Canon technicians and parts to your location. I don’t know about Canons, but the Xerox 5335 is going to be faster than the 5230. It can produce 5 more sheets per minute. Otherwise make sure whichever you buy is equipped how you need it (scan, fax, print from USB, etc).

Is it making any kind of clicking noise? That sounds like your hard drive is failing.
I am trying to get to the network settings on a xerox workcentre 5030 copier. I click "Access" then type default password "1111" but I do not see network settings anywhere in the menus.
Not all 5030s actually can print. It was sold as an optional feature.

Did you just replace the drum cartridge? Pull it out and push it back in.

@@aaronbcollins2 My Xerox 5225 machine initially had 0% cartridge replacement. For that I changed the chip of the cartridge but reinsert an improperly seated consumables with cartridge error status.
And my drums and toner are running on another machine. But why isn't my machine running ?

We don't use the refilled cartridges or the replacement chips. We use new genuine Xerox toner and drum cartridges. Over the years, we've found that they just cause a lot fewer headaches.

Best 4 Yu, you would probably want the machine to start in DHCP mode so that your router can find it. From there, you ought to be able to switch to static mode and manually change the IP.

@@xerorprint3367 that is probably the heat or pressure roller in your fuser. It will need to be rebuilt.

Sounds like your scanner bulb may be out. Does it light up when you scan a document?
