This is one of my favorite videos of all time, probably the best football video ever. The players in light blue ‘Gibbs’ uniforms are Kenny’s HS team, where Morgan Wallen played baseball in Knoxville Tennessee. Oh, and they both wore #7! I. LOVE. FOOTBALL !!! 🏈🏈🏈
It's a Brotherhood that only a brother who's experienced it can truly appreciate. The bonds you create going through hot summer practices in Aug. to sharing the excitement of gameday. The wins, the losses. You share it all with your teammates you've been in the trenches with. And when it's gone it leaves a hole that nothing can fill. I still, at 54, have those relationships I built so many years ago, but I do so miss the sport and being on the field of battle with my brothers in arms.
I shared Friday nights with my brothers on the field we shed tears together on Friday nights this song holds a very special place in my heart because i was 1 of those boys
One of his best, even though I’m a girl. I remember those Friday night football games and the smell in the cool air. Best memories from high school. Now i’m working the gate before the game and cooking the spaghetti dinner with the other moms after school on Friday nights for my son and his friends on the football team.
The movie boys of fall is a documentary that Kenny chesney made about the passion, pride and commitment that it takes to play and how it affects the whole community. He wrote this song for the movie
When I tell you I cried that last game of senior year. I wasn’t interested in college football, I had my future planned out, but I loved every second I got to spend on the field with my brothers. All that transferred over to my time in the military. Organized sports started a young age will give your child a trait you can’t teach, dedication.
8:15 That's Kenny in the 7 jersey. He played high school football and I believe he's actually done some time with an NFL team doing training camp stuff.
this is just a fantastic song and video. There are so many legendary coaches and football players, A couple of superstars near the end, John Madden ultimate announcer and the Man in the Hat, Tom Landry the best head coach the Dallas Cowboys ever had.
I grew up in a small farm town in central California. there were two high schools and when they played every year it was the biggest game that the everyone came out for.
My senior year of high school my school's football team made it to the playoffs and fell short in the first round and once the clock struck 0 My senior football classmates season was over
Not football fans you say? May I suggest going to an Alabama game or a Clemson game or a Georgia game or South Carolina game. The passion those fans show for those teams are second to none and will draw you in.
Was lucky enough to play 3 years semipro after senior year ended. Made new brothers but just not the same as high School. Lots of guys never play again after that last game senior season
Kenny is my number 1 , been to many concerts and actually had a meet and great , Fabulous shows yall have to go see him this summer like a big damn country party I promise man buy this ticket Best concert out there
I played all four years on varsity football in high school then I broke my back on my last game of my senior year I never got to play in college because of that injury
I grew up in a pretty small town in Texas where high school football is king....i was on the wrestling team in highschool so we had a bit of a rivalry with the football team as for eho the "real" tough guys in school were...i remember we would always get the football players to go out for the wrestling team and they would always refuse because our sport was too tough....always loved this song though
We love football. I look forward to college football season just as much (maybe even more than) as my husband and son do. We have been lifelong Clemson fans and season ticket holders for many years. My son started going to games when he was 4 and he's 24 now and has missed only one home game in all those 20 years. He had Covid and he hated to miss going to the game. He was a student at Clemson at the time and he loved sitting with his friends in the student section. We have so many wonderful memories from home games and a good many away games too.
I did play but the idea of giving back to the youth and helping others is my goal. And I do love the game. But life is a team game, and we are here to help and serve others. And it doesn’t matter how you do it, but that should always be your goal. I do like Kenny Chesney though, there’s no doubt. I am 31, but I do remember those Friday nights. When you are a part of it, it is something special. Because it isn’t just about you. It’s about all your brothers, your family, those coaches, etc. You do build a bond and a brotherhood and a love, that last for a lifetime. But it does teach you so many life lessons. And I just wanted to throw it in there, because you all haven’t reacted to something like this yet.
Yup ,right in the feels haha. Especially since I go to all the little towns in the West Texas panhandle and film football . Every size school to from 7 guys playing both sides to the big rivalries. Always a fun time and a big rush seeing the community come together for their boys of fall
I played from 3rd grade through high school, 5 years in college and 2 years of semi pro. There is not much I wouldn’t give (salvation, my family, etc) to go back to play on Friday nights. I still dream about it and I’m 49 now. Football is the only sport that once you stop playing and step off that field for the last time it’s over. Every other sport I can think of can be played recreationally and for a long time. Football is a young man’s game. All us old timers can do is talk about it 😞🏈
I'm not sure if he wrote this, but he's speaking from his HS days. He is a huge football fan, though. He lobe Tennessee, so seeing Peyton makes sense lol I do believe he wrote "Touchdown Tennessee" in tribute to former Voice of Tennessee, John Ward.
I miss it i played every position but kicker. D-line, linebacker, and tight end were my favorite places not saying i was scholarship ready but i held the most respect my senior year on the team. Team sport requires everyone took over positions when ppl got hurt when my ankle got messed up wrapped it up and switch to where i didnt hafta plant off that side had each other covered
Dude, nothing like 2-a-day practices at 7am and doing stretching exercises is the damp dew and smelling that "fresh cut grass" mr burney cut 30 minutes before practice!
But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. 1 Timothy 5:8
You have no idea! I Do not like your laxadasical attitude. You think this video is funny and wait til to quote un quote under stand. Please shut up. Players know it. God is great.

My dad took me to my first game in the 1960s.. the Chicago Bears, and I've loved football ever since
I tear up every time I listen to this song, thank you guys for doing this

Coached for 23 years, so many good memories and great students I've met. Peace from Northern Michigan.

That fresh cut grass still hits Me to this day man .
Song chokes me up every time. And now since our boys are playing, it chokes the wife up too.

Nothing like walking on the field on a Friday night

This song played at my last Football game. Tears me up still
When this song came out, I literally felt like I missed something in my life

I love this song. I love football. Go Dallas Cowboys. This is the perfect song for this time of year.💯👏👏👏
Check out his song "Who'd You Be Today". It gets me everytime.
I miss it i played every position but kicker. D-line, linebacker, and tight end were my favorite places not saying i was scholarship ready but i held the most respect my senior year on the team. KC is one heck of a singer, most of his songs you just feel like you are there. Treat y’all’s self to more of him
To me this song is not just about football. You can basically use it as an everyday lesson kinda thing
I'm glad I didn't go that route. I would have sucked at that level. Peace, Love!!
Yall should do a reaction to A Lot Of Things Different by Kenny.
Made the best friends of my life on a field
Ya’ll don’t watch football?!?! What do you do on Sunday’s during fall????
Funny how they didn't notice young Kenny chesney as number 7 for his team
But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
1 Timothy 5:8
Fighting those butterflies before every game actually being scared you still went forward after that first hit you got hungry
I prefer the 'support' message b4 the song much better.
I have a feeling I wasted my money requesting a song
You need to watch College football!!
