It’s not just that. If we include other aspects like utility, playermodels, higher polling rate mice, shooting, and any forms of movement on display in general, the performance difference is much more drastic, especially on certain maps like ancient after the most recent update on PCs which experience instability on cs2, that would’ve otherwise performed fine on GO.
honestly, i always play at lower resolutions and lowest settings because of fps. for a moment i could not even tell which one is which.... makes no sense.
Should be how much fps did we gain, at least if you own a high end pc. I was getting around 500-600 fps unstable on csgo, and on cs2 I can get almost stable 800 fps with the exact same settings. I'm on a rtx 4080 ryzen 7 7800x3D 32gb ddr5 6khz ram. Seems like cs2 is more optimized for the newer gpus/cpus but I could be wrong. Either way I get more on cs2 compared to csgo with the exact same settings.
@@MrDonAndruchaIt really isn't, and I have no clue why more people are not talking about this. It was a massive peformance boost on my pc when CS2 got released.
@@vOldgenif I remember correctly x3d cpus didn't outperform non x3d in csgo due to how the game liked just high ghz cpus and in cs2 it really utilized them and they perform way better. That's the only case I've seen it tho.❤
Unfortunately not a straight comparison... The amd fx 630 released in 2012(the year csgo released) and was slow in comparison to intel, the GPU you pair it with is very strong as well. The i5 6500 is a 4 core with no hyperthreading that launched in 2015. I think it's fair to expect a game to not run super well on very old hardware. The game should be more optimized but you are asking for magic.
gtx 1080 is goat is the same as rtx 2060 super. also he has good cpu you cant have good fps with slow cpu. also cs2 dont support new technology like ray tracing soo you dont need new gpu i dont matter if the gpu is old its the good cpu that helps
well in csgo i played all low 1280x1024 400fps and all high same res on 130-250 depends on map and in cs2 all low 1400x1050 60-160 depends on map and parts of it

I just miss the look of GO. It had a much more appealing aesthetic.
You're right. I don't really understand why they made CS2 look that good anyways.
@@smooktober7639 Like yeah CS2 looks good, but the gritty feel of CSGO had some soul to it. CS2 just looks sanitized.

The new armory update reduced the fps by 10% for me now so its even worse

i buy a 165hz monitor for csgo, now the game runs at 100 fps and my monitor is pointless, i have no money for this stuff so i dont play cs anymore
I can feel you bro... Bought 1650 laptop gave me decent 180 fps in csgo but in cs2 it just shits itself
