- Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa my first merlin amv !!!! i watched the show for the first time from the end of december through mid march and i completely fell in love w these three !!!! about halfway through the series i knew i wanted to make a video for them set to this song and i'm sooooooo happy with how it turned out !!!!! im especially proud of the Movement and how it pairs so nicely with the music

these three should have had much more screentime together. their dynamic (Gwaine aiming to get Merlin's attention and Arthur trying to shield his trusted companion from anyone who might steal him) is the foundation for great storytelling

I just got back into Merlin recently and reawakened my love for Gwaine, and oh my god this is absolutely perfect?? I'm still incredibly salty that Gwaine got barely any screentime in the last two seasons. He, Merlin, and Arthur were such a good trio and I wish the show had had more episodes focused on the three of them. Obviously, I absolutely love this. I can't believe how perfect the song is for the three of them.
Me too, and god, I so love them that sometimes I hate the writers for what they did to this great storyline with the 'courage-strength-magic' trio...I mean, why to introduce it to us if it ended like this, they didn't develop it any further, and, if I remember it correctly, was never mentioned after this ep.
And, crap, that ending, so sad, but ok, we know Arthur is supposed to return and Merlin is immortal, it is their destiny to be together again, I get that, but Gwaine, really? He deserved better, I can't believe they let him to die and to think that he failed Arthur....I can't actually accept that, so my head canon is that he survived (with no actual funeral, and considering he's Strength after all, if someone would have been able to survive the torture of that snake it would have been him, and of course he was strong enough to survive it ;) and was reunited with Merlin. I just can't accept any other options 😢😢😅
ive rewatched this so many times over the last couple days because its making me go insane... the cuts?? the voiceover bits from the show?? "i hope you find what youre looking for"?? the sync of arthur with his back turned showing his progression through the series?? im going insane . i cannot stop watching this .

Favorite edit with this song so far. I especially like the voiceover introduction from another series. At least, I think it is? Though the ending cut off a little early. I think you could have given the song another 7 seconds and fade it out instead of a sudden cut. Anyhow, I really liked it and it was a lot of fun to see Merlin equated to the poet because his magic was actually triggered by the spoken word!
the intro is from merlin !!! ep 3.08 the eye of the phoenix it’s the one where arthur goes on his solo quest to the fisher king’s lands and merlin and gwaine follow him. the keeper of the bridge calls them courage magic and strength !

This is incredibly well done! Like, the cuts are so perfectly on beat and the little pieces of dialogue add so much to it.
Also... I've now seen quite a lot of versions of this song made for different franchises, and this is definitely the most fitting one so far
Love it so much. I watched and continuing to watch over and over Merlin in 2024. It's sad they wrote a script for a hole in sixth season but aren't making it😢😢😢. I cry almost every time it ends or I just remember there will be no more seasons😭😭😭😭😭
