After the first few minutes I was like "something isn't right here" and went to find information that wasn't there. Then the last part of the video played. I completely understand what you mean.
I was much more interested in the concept of Konegsberg being rightful German clay than the satire. Especially since such argumentation goes to the heart of the discussion on Ukraine: that there is no objective reason why ANY borders should be where they are. Every line on every political map of the world is just endless stories of genocide and counter genocide, stories of fighting for resources and the advancements of their own people.
Typical TH-cam behaviour: Start commenting on videos before one has watched them completely. Sometimes even after reading the title and video description.
well it obviously once was Königsberg, home of the prussian crown but nowadays an own independant statehood or a rather loose integration into Poland or Lithuania would make sense. Most important is that all the residents will be able to maintain their cultural heritage, may it be russian or any other.
I see what you did there. Smooth. Sad truth is that while the information now flows much more freely, distinguishing fact from fiction is sometimes damn near impossible. Especially if it plays into one's world view/expectation.
watch the lying, misinformation spread by a so called "reporter" who ONLY criticizes Ukraine or talks of their "abuses". He is a russian tool or agent. His name is Patrick Lancaster, and he has MANY videos on here. In one, he interviewed pro-russians in the Donbas and showed atrocities that he claimed were Ukrainian. He must get paid well or is a communist with a Putin soul.
Kaliningrad doesn't have to join any European state, but it does have to find a source for making money both for governmental services and to keep a bare minimum of an economy. Once the immediate needs of the local population is met, then the region can decide what opportunities they have to raise the standard of living for the people.
Gotta admit, almost had me there with the Kaliningrad independence, but as soon as you mentioned that Putin wouldn't be against it, I realized what was going on. Still, a wierd propaganda for a Russian state wanting to be independent, this stuff could actually inspire some Russians to part away from Russia.
Thing is, Putin wouldn't be against it because Kaliningrad is strategically super badly situated and only annected from Germany because they didn't know what to do with it anyway.
@@andresvalverde5182 i correct you, it's a piece of land where they hold nuclear armament and of course the baltic fleet, it's the deterrance that Russia has and they like NATO to remember that, if Germany or Poland decide to go to war with Russia they are going to get nuked in mere minutes, without any chance to respond. so Russia doesn't care if kaliningrad gets invaded or nuked, they use that land to have a base of operations near the main capitals of the EU.
You had me going their for a minute lol I was like "What, When, How, huh??" Me scratching my head lol > Well created video and presentation. And yes, you nailed Russian and PRC propaganda. The video was very well sanitized too, just enough real life to let it look real -ish and almost beleivable.
Germans should have never relinquished their right to keep Königsberg as part of Germany. Kaliningrad, a Russian exclave in Eastern Europe, is an abomination. This has always been my opinion and it has nothing to do with this war.
Germany as we know is a country but there are many Germanic people's. With similar words. Even in language English is ethnically Germanic. The error is in the world naming Deutschland "Germany" which in turn confuses the masses that are unwilling to know, seek and learn the truth. It confuses even your own Deutsch people and yet Deutschland didn't create that image. But they believe the lie that all Germanic people are Deutsch. Which Is not the case. Many countries in the past and present are Germanic but not German.
It's not like we ever had a choice. And how would one go about reintegrating it into Germany? Practically it would need to become the 17th State. But considering that the population is only 0.8% Germans how should that work? You wouldn't want to displace all the Russians, Ukrainians and Belarus people who make up the majority. But you could also not let them continue to run the place. But a german speaking administration in a state where no one speaks german? You'd have to entice Germans to move there. But what would draw them? The prospect of being the minority in their new home for at least half a century? Having to rebuild the entire Oblast into a modern german Bundesstaat? I totally understand why the German government said "No" when the issue came up in the reunification talks. That ship has sailed. You can't undo what has been done without causing the people who live there now similar pain.
NOTE!! This video is a commentary on this type of "separatist" referendum, and near the end of the video (4:30) there is a sound effect of "stop the record/scratch sound" and the narrator points out that the video was meant as a parody of how Russia announces referendums that are faked or have rigged ballots (as happened in Crimea). So, don't mistake this for any hot news. What it shows is a parody, a cynical view of Russia's referendums in territories it controls. I chuckled, and thought this was a clever way of pointing out that Russia's referendums in territories it annexed or invaded should not be taken seriously. The point of this Ukraine video is that the Russian announcements are just propaganda that tries to fool the public into thinking the local population wants to continue as part of Russia. This has relevance in Crimea, the Donbas, and other "self-proclaimed independent republics" that happen when the Russian army invades and controls those territories.
It's sad that you have to point out 1) what is obvious and 2) what is clearly stated in the video, because half of TH-cam doesn't watch more than 7 seconds of any video and go based off titles alone.
As if we would be given a choice in this matter. Besides, why would any of the listed countries even consider something like that as a valid option? Integrating a region like that is a huge economic and infrastructural strain, there is absolutely no benefit in doing that. Kaliningrad will always be russia's clay, everything else is just a poorly written fanfiction.
That is why referendums in occupied territory or in territory where an armed conflict is still ongoing are considered invalid by international law. That should sink into the thick heads of the russians who deny that Crimea was annexed.
This video deserves to go viral! I plan to send this link to friends as a test of critical thinking skills and measure of credulity. The sooner they get the “spoof,” the higher their critical thinking score. Teachers could also show this in classes on media literacy. It illustrates very well what Russian propagandists probably did in “referendums” in Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk. Brilliant! Love the Ukrainian sense of humor! Thank you! :)))

If the Ukrainian media campaign was as bad as their 2016 media campaign here in the Netherlands, the West would have shrugged their shoulders and do nothing while the Russians would have been able to undo the Euromaidan Revolution by reinstalling Viktor Yanukovich for the third time.

After the first few minutes I was like "something isn't right here" and went to find information that wasn't there. Then the last part of the video played. I completely understand what you mean.
I was much more interested in the concept of Konegsberg being rightful German clay than the satire. watch the lying, misinformation spread by a so called "reporter" who ONLY criticizes Ukraine or talks of their "abuses". He is a russian tool or agent. His name is Patrick Lancaster, and he has MANY videos on here. In one, he interviewed pro-russians in the Donbas and showed atrocities that he claimed were Ukrainian. He must get paid well or is a communist with a Putin soul.
Very well-done, my guys.
Yes. I hope it catches on!

Germans should have never relinquished their right to keep Königsberg as part of Germany. Kaliningrad, a Russian exclave in Eastern Europe, is an abomination. This has always been my opinion and it has nothing to do with this war.
Germany, as a government, is the same as Russia. They only have other methods.
They were going to ask for its return during the negotiations to reunite Germany but for some reason they didn’t ask.
Hell no, German would be too close to Russia
Why not just recognise Kalingrad as its own country.
OK I was very, very confused at first. xD Should have been released on April 1st.
Indeed, but those who don't know would be fooled by this biased approach the video is taking.
Thanks for info
Do they not teach critical reasoning? That explains a lot.
I was absolutely cofused. Specially when the guy said that putin was fine with kalingrad choosing who it wants to be a part of.
Putin just makes shit and goes against both his own actions and logic.
