People in corporate studios pay attention... this is why people watched wheeler dealers.. FOR Mr China .. his methodical an down to earth manner.. the big man is quality.. I could watch Edd fix cars all day.. great show sir.
@Lord Rupert and there will be a holocaust victim behind the back seat ....an oppressed woman weeping ....and an undersized youth in hiding because he didn't make the football teams!
The new show is just what I was expecting from Edd, and the very thing that's missing from the 'new' Wheeler Dealers. The full detailed explanations, along with Edd's famous insider tips about tools, parts and all things automotive. There's also that added bonus of his vocal quality which is welcome at my house any time! Like having a lifelong friend drop by to help sort things out right when it's needed. Edd IS cool! Welcome back!
Great to see a program focussed on the practical aspect of working on the mechanics and helping someone get an abandoned project back on the road. I'm not going to knock Mike B or the Wheeler Dealers format; they both have their place, but I much prefer this sort of format where there is more detail of how things are done, and less attention to the light entertainment aspect. I hope this pilot leads to many more similar episodes.
how does it feel to almost be at 100k subs on just a pilot episode and teaser video? Edd i would be extremely proud of what you done so far sir. As a bonus I think were all so glad to have you back on the digital air waves.
Edd how do we contribute to your shows success? Can I Subscribe$$ to a certain number of TH-cam Episodes? Or are you taking contributions through CrowdFund or Kickstarter? Al
So glad to see Edd back in action. That headliner job is a perfect example of why Edd's instruction is so beneficial: When you look at a headliner installation job, it is so easy to become overwhelmed. But, when Edd just lays it out step by step, it all becomes so less daunting. Keep up the good work Edd! I hope to see many more episodes!
That's also why he's not syndicated. They don't want someone to give step by step instructions. They want to gloss over a project, show a detail here and there and get some shots with sparks flying from a grinder. That way the viewers are interested enough to spend some cash and haven't learned much. That's the reason Ed left WD..
I'm a near 70 year old woman and I loved wheeler dealers for the way Edd tinkered with the cars etc. Glad to see he stuck to his principles and now has a new show without the annoying cheeky chappy nonsense
I was watching Car SOS from tv a couple of weeks ago and thought the format of restoring a real enthusiast’s car instead of flipping them would suit Edd perfectly. Seems like I wasnt the only one to think that! Love from Finland
At last a proper car show where you don’t have the obligatory “we’ve got 2 hrs left to finish it, I don’t know if we are going to make it” shit. Well done Ed, good to see you back!
Simod Thebod I think that deadline stuff is just manufactured drama to create, well drama. It has grown extremely tiresome, however. Thus is why I lost interest in most of those Dicovery channel car shows.
Ur a natural teacher Edd. The way u explain things , the important tips/techniques.... THOSE NECESSARY BITS u cover. U give us simple people the ability to DO what we thought we couldn't. Other shows omit the difficult parts and continue pretending that anyone could do it. I do hope we fans will be hearing more from you
Yes! It feels like coming home. Absolute pleasure to see Edd doing own show. All is well with the world again. As another comment said, instant subscription. Edd, my best wishes for you and your new endeavors.
Bloody fantastic! So good to see you doing what we all miss and love. You’ve stayed true to yourself and your fans. You Sir are back, good for you and good for all of us.
This was so good! Still can’t believe WD went in a different direction and why they would change the format. 75% of the show was all about Ed in the garage showing us top tips and how things work. Absolutely love WD but can’t watch a single episode now Ed’s not in the show. I really hope more of these will be made one day! Thank you Ed your a legend !
Couldn't agree more. Reminds me over the first 4 or 5 Series of Wheeler Dealers with all the 'hands on' mechanical 'how to's' ... Edd's charm & knowledge can easily carry a show without the 'selling' part ... well done Edd ...
I loved Wheeler Dealer.. I thought Mike & Ed had a good combo / perspectives but as Ed has said direction of show and Ed were not aligned. It is best Ed went a direction he was happy with and Mike go in a direction he was happy with. Appears no hard feelings either way. And we get to experience both now..
Makes you realise just how pointless Mike Brewer was in Wheeler Dealers. He was five minutes of background noise who shook someone's hand at the end of the show. Great to see Edd back!
Mike Brewer did bring something to the show though, at least in the early years. There was lots of tips on where to look for cars, and what to look for when buying them. Things sort of went pear-shaped when the cars got more and more expensive, and we saw less and less real tinkering. Outsourcing is all well and good, but we want to see Edd work his magic :D
Watching you on WD inspired me to work on my own vehicles rather then pay garages. This has saved me and untold amount of money and brought out a real passion from within me for doing this kind of stuff. Keep up the great work Edd! Love the new show
Edd China's Garage Revival Its a really high quality program. You can tell a lot of work went into it. Look forward to watching more. Great to see you back doing what you do, all the best :)
I've never subscribed to a TH-cam channel so fast. Hopefully Amazon or someone else picks this up to give it the financial backing it needs for more episodes.
Why did this get recommended to me after three years.. I have fond memories watching Wheeler Dealers back in the day and watching Edd fixing cars with pure passion..
Finally!!! This is what made wheelers dealers a great show! Yes, it was funny to see you, Edd, joking around with Mike, but this was the essence and why everyone watched the show. Nice to see that the first episode was filmed here, in Norway. Edd, welcome back!!!
It's great to see Ed back :) There is far more instruction for the budding home machanic than in the current series of Wheeler Dealers thats for sure. Keep it up ED!!
This is everything that was great about wheeler dealers and nothing more or less. I sincerely hope these videos will continue. We all love Edd and what he's able to do in the garage and on camera. 10/10. Brilliant content.
I just made a comment on barn find hunters newest vid that his show and skid factory were the only real car shows anymore. This is another on my list. Reminds me of old school car shows before all the reality BS
Hey! Why the face! You're right, roadkill/MCM/skid factory/barn find hunters are pretty good too! But of those I think only SF and BFH have a "real" production team and it still is down to earth. :)
Wheeler dealers and Car SoS have a few things in common. they both get stuff back on the road, they both have great mechs, sadly they both have knobheads that take up valuable viewing time.
I got the feeling there was more time for tinkering and less dealing. Normally there would be some trading and whatnot, instead: «these parts are standard and easy to come by; lets start putting them on the car.»; which was very refreshing. Because, lets be honest, we want to see parts being swapped, tools being used and stuff being easily explained.
We miss you Edd, please come back with some sort of tv series!! Your knowledge and advice will always be in great demand as the work you do is simply MAGIC!!!!
i have the same opinion, i watched also Wheeler dealers A LOT. but never liked mike that much, but edd on the other hand. he is great :) and a very good mechanic
Alexander Everything Mike said was cringeworthy nonsense. He always had to be touching the car when he was in the shop which was just infuriating. A brand new paint job sometimes and he's leaning on it and rubbing it, putting swirls in the paint. It was fun to make fun of him, but that's about it. All the buying and selling shit was sooo painfully scripted. The 'buyers' walking around the car touching random parts like the mirrors and tires and pretending to check things was just the most embarrassingly fake thing I had ever seen. The prices were obviously agreed upon beforehand. They should have cut out the buying and selling part and put more emphasis on what they did to the car and research that went into restoring it. Then just give the final number of what they sold it for, rather than pretending to haggle.
mike was to much trying to be an american, as seen in the later wheeler dealers, he was to much ' over the top ' for my personal liking. while edd is 'down to earth ' while being realistic.
Yes indeed. I was always forwarding ahead to get to the Edd China's part. I think that eventually, Mike got jealous.... Now he has a decent enough mechanic but I don't care, Edd China was the one I wanted to see. The way you explain things in layman's terms and take us through every step is really far away from the new wheeler dealer's mechanic, I guess that's Mikes's fault again.
Well done Edd, it is always a pleasure seeing your work come to reality, i hope you enjoy HUGE success as your a top guy and fully deserve it too, WELL DONE :)
Finally, it's really a great feeling to be able to see Edd China again at work on a car, this 1 episode was really exciting and as always full of curiosity, Edd best wishes and good luck and I look forward to watching the next episode. Thank you very much.
Just like putting on an old comfortable pair of shoes! I have missed you Edd! I love how you talk us through what you are doing. You were the main reason I watched WD and I love having you back teaching us again. Best of luck and as always I will be looking forward to your next episode!
Hope this takes off far and wide. Brilliant show and concept. There are so many people around that have project cars and need to get them back up and running. They need some sort of encouragement. And the added bit of following the laws of the country was a stroke of genius. Keep it up Edd, you deserve it.
Sadly it does not seem that way. I guess he have other plans, or it didn’t pay enough. TH-cam does not pay a lot, and this isn’t the cheapest to produce.
I wish we had more of Ed China’s car repair videos. I really like his presentation style, he explains things really well. I’ll keep checking from time to time to see if he starts posting regularly
The Raging Storm and it’s different too, almost totally unique to anything else on either platform. Also, in less than a day this got 18,000 views and the channel got an additional few thousand subs. The people have spoken! I can barely open my bonnet (I fix computers) but I love watching Edd.
Why bother? The clear direction of travel for decent car content is TH-cam; Motor Trends, Mighty Car Mods and Jay Lenos Garage are all TH-cam based and are going from strength to strength. Why bring in the middle man when he can have full control?
Wonderful I am so happy to see Edd doing his own show the way it should have been for years. Congratulations and keep the videos coming. If you get bored come back to the states and finish my Corvette. ^_^
Edd was always 85% of Wheeler Dealers and Brewer knew it. If you look around on TH-cam you can see Brewer mouthing off about Edd. It's not nice and not what you expect from a fully functioning adult. Fingers crossed this gets big for Edd. It does need some advertising though as I nearly missed it.
Yes, I agree - I certainly hope they do come up with a sizeable advertisement budget. I think they will only need it for the first few months, after that it will take off like an airplane!
You are so right.... Never really understood the appeal of the Mike Brewer part of wheeler dealers, always seemed heavily scripted and fake. He came across as a not really very likeable shady car dealer. Which is what he is i suppose
Totally agree. I tune into promising car shows only to be turned off by the artificially created drama in many of them. When will they learn that their audience demographic is different from cooking competition shows...?
To be honest I'd rather watch Ed than the other guys. Let make it work. I'm with ya. And if you need a hand I'm a mechanic myself. Just send me a ticket.
I’m so glad you’re back Edd! This was even better, if possible, than those earlier Wheeler Dealers because the work itself was shown well and the new camera angle showing the engine underside was so familiar to us home mechanics. I’ve done my own car servicing for 50 yrs and this reminded me of those younger days of mine. And what’s the best, you don’t have to watch buying and selling the cars. =)
but Edd. two things..... Why where the wheels powdercoated with curb rash? budget or somthing . funny also the rear disc conversion looks like a Mk3 kit :P or vw just kept it the same since the. rocco? >< got you learn so much from here :P
Great to have the Legend that is Edd China Back where he belongs. I have just purchased a Ford Capri 3.0 Ghia Automatic V6 1978 with only 48000 miles on the clock its a classic car, with classic car issues. And trying to find an old school mechanic who is familiar with these engines is like pulling hen's teeth. I will be following Edd on his new quest with great interest, and when I hit a brick wall with my car, which no doubt I will. Ill be coming to you for advise Edd. Great to have you back mate
I was dissappointed when Edd left WD. I've seen the new WD and Ant is very capable. He just doesn't get enough time to show us much. No wonder Edd left. Now this new show is just what I like. Edd doing what most people can't, and explaining so most people can understand. We want wrench time! We want how to time! Edd's new show envolving the owners of project cars is the way to go! I liked and subscribed a couple minutes in. Soooooo glad you're back Edd!
This is just what I needed... It's like wheeler dealers with out all the bullshit. Just Edd sorting a car out with some traveling. brilliant program. Really hope it takes off. You deserve it Edd!
Wayne yeah, whitouth al the talk about money, budget, profit and that outher guy runnung around
100% agreed, wheeler dealers without Edd is like top gear without May/Clarkson/Hammond, its not the same!
Agree. Still has the staged "Oh, you're here - I didn't notice the camera pointing at me" greetings though. Don't know why but they really wind me up! See 3:31

When Edd parted ways with Wheeler Dealers (WD's) he said in a YT video on his own channel that his leaving was because the revamped version of WD's wasn't going in a direction he felt comfy with but wished the show, Mike and the mechanic replacing him all the best, a gentleman at his best. If it's picked up by US-based execs, it's bound to go down the same road as Wheeler Dealers; let good things European stay European, I say...
We US based fans want Edd and we will take any means necessary to get him and keep him LOL. Seriously we WILL
Johnno_Oz That was not the issue (at least according to the producers.) The show was costing too much for Velocity's taste, so they decided to cheapen the show. Edd didn't want to make a cheaper show because he felt the quality of the product would slide, so he quit.

We need this. This is what's missing on all these car shows. People in their own garages needing help on their personal projects without any drama.

I couldn’t thrash away at the subscribe button quick enough!!
ihatesissycars I'm with you on that shared x32 times
This is such a good idea for a program. Glad to see Edd back!
Agreed.
Too bad garage squad did it first
Nice to see him back on tv, Stephen.
It's great to see Ed back :) There is far more instruction for the budding home machanic than in the current series of Wheeler Dealers thats for sure. Keep it up ED!!
The first time I'm happy to find something "made in China"! :)
Martin M noooo! Pero esa es mucho mejor! 😁
Maiden China.
This is everything that was great about wheeler dealers and nothing more or less. I sincerely hope these videos will continue. We all love Edd and what he's able to do in the garage and on camera. 10/10. Brilliant content.
This is the best episode of the series.
Lol! Very estute 😂
Thanks for the subtitles!
Dont need them myself, being from Sweden i understand fine since norwegian is fairly close to swedish.
nobody asked
zhalt123 They did, it was re-uploaded...
This is the beginning of a new era of GOOD car related programs. Maybe besides Car S.O.S..
I just made a comment on barn find hunters newest vid that his show and skid factory were the only real car shows anymore. This is another on my list. Reminds me of old school car shows before all the reality BS
Swordie100 roadkill -_-
Hey! Why the face! You're right, roadkill/MCM/skid factory/barn find hunters are pretty good too! But of those I think only SF and BFH have a "real" production team and it still is down to earth. :)
notformebeaky roadkill is way better than any car show on TV.
It's actually funny.
Wheeler dealers and Car SoS have a few things in common. they both get stuff back on the road, they both have great mechs, sadly they both have knobheads that take up valuable viewing time.
great Episode...Welcome Back Ed ;)
How great to see Edd back wish you all the luck with the new show hope to see so many more
Good to see the tall man again! But, dude, get some sleep! Ya need to make more!
You are a wonderful person Edd China. It's a great feeling to see you again. Thank you. Love from turkey
Welcome back Edd China, hope this channel becomes a huge success!
Beerdy - Bruce Lee Central i hope too
@AUTOMOTIVE CHANNEL 20 your channel is shit
gues it didnt
cannot wait for part 2
Yes Ed China is the star of the Show. 😉
Good to see the amount of views. Edd got shat on and I hope he does great now. We all know he was the best part of the show.
We miss you Edd, please come back with some sort of tv series!! Your knowledge and advice will always be in great demand as the work you do is simply MAGIC!!!!
Excellent! I grew up watching Wheeler Dealers but never liked the sales guy much. This formula is just great. :)
i have the same opinion, i watched also Wheeler dealers A LOT. but never liked mike that much, but edd on the other hand. he is great :) and a very good mechanic
how can you not like Mike? I think he is a great contribution as another person!
Alexander
Everything Mike said was cringeworthy nonsense.
I also feel as if I was watching the original show before it got worse. Thank you very much!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Edd brings me to tears...what an example of an amazing human being. Keep spreading your culture Edd.
OMG! My comment is pointless, really! I can’t believe how long it took to catch up with Edd. Thrilled now! Thank you!
YOU NEED TO ADVERTISE THIS SHOW MORE!!! I found it by accident although i followed wheeler dealers for many years
Well done Edd, it is always a pleasure seeing your work come to reality, i hope you enjoy HUGE success as your a top guy and fully deserve it too, WELL DONE :)
Finally, it's really a great feeling to be able to see Edd China again at work on a car, this 1 episode was really exciting and as always full of curiosity, Edd best wishes and good luck and I look forward to watching the next episode. Thank you very much.
I can admire Edd's creative integrity to provide a mechanical oriented show. Wheeler's and dealers will never be the same.
Just like putting on an old comfortable pair of shoes! I have missed you Edd! I love how you talk us through what you are doing. You were the main reason I watched WD and I love having you back teaching us again. Best of luck and as always I will be looking forward to your next episode!
Nicely completed Edd. Great job to the crew as well.
Hope this takes off far and wide. Brilliant show and concept. There are so many people around that have project cars and need to get them back up and running. They need some sort of encouragement. And the added bit of following the laws of the country was a stroke of genius. Keep it up Edd, you deserve it.
Good to see your back Ed watching from Scotland
1.5 million views. Surely that's good enough for proof concept. Lets have another now.
Almost 2 mill as of today. I hope another one is in the making!
@Can AdıgüzelPlease make more
Sadly it does not seem that way.
2,359,702 including me !
Top stuff! This is what we’ve been waiting for. Get Netflix/Amazon on it too
With the support/exposure Netflix can provide, this program will go places. Good places. No, great places!
Luke Baldwin I hope one or the two does it. There is never a shortage of people with projects
The Raging Storm and it’s different too, almost totally unique to anything else on either platform.
Also, in less than a day this got 18,000 views and the channel got an additional few thousand subs. The people have spoken! I can barely open my bonnet (I fix computers) but I love watching Edd.
Is this going on TV / network or paid for etc does anyone know?
This is such a great program. The owners face when he’s driving his car for the first tome is priceless
Ed, where have you been!? I'm serious, get a production company, and GET THIS ON TV. This, is absolute magic.
holomatrix fuck TV that’s from the 1900. You tube is this generations TV
Alex Thorpe Agreed! No TV please. Keep it online.
Brewer = cockney snake oil salesman. . He just needed the hat, jacket & badges.
You are so right.... Never really understood the appeal of the Mike Brewer part of wheeler dealers, always seemed heavily scripted and fake. He came across as a not really very likeable shady car dealer. Which is what he is i suppose
Finally a nice car show without useless drama that actually focuses on the cars :)
And no obvious product placements by slimey advertisers.
No $$$ and fake dramas - I like it :)
not sure what i like more.. China telling "crack on" or. he's being back.... ahh hell with it. ill take both (y)
but Edd. two things..... Why where the wheels powdercoated with curb rash? budget or somthing . funny also the rear disc conversion looks like a Mk3 kit :P or vw just kept it the same since the. rocco? >< got you learn so much from here :P
ED YOU'RE THE BEST
Glad you're back in the game.
Great to have you back mate
great to see you sir!!
Edd, thank you for taking the best parts of wheeler dealers and making a complete show out of them. Keep’em coming 👍🏻
Thanks for sharing Ed. Good job 👏 👍👍👍🙂
