This is great....I love how throughout the whole movie, swamps, mountains, chases, tunnels, the lady Still holds on to her purse :)

Thanks for posting this - it really brings back memories! I'm amazed at how much I remember of these sci fi horror films from watching the back in the late 60's as a little kid. Movies like this one, The Hideous Sun Demon, From Hell It Came, they all used to scare me, because I was too young to see how cheesy they were! What a glorious time.
Hi Knock, when I was young, sometimes we went to small airports that were very empty and I would secretly look for the exit because the folks had no clue😮. Thanks to the sci fi culture, I was always prepared for unusual emergencies!!! Slimes are still around!!! Everyone knows one. Act accordingly😮😊❤

I've loved these '50s sci-fi/horror movies since I was a child, I'm 59 and it's still my favourite genre. I don't go to the cinema or even watch TV, I just pop on TH-cam and other sites and enjoy these so-called schlocky, dated flicks.
Them (giant antz) was a fave..also LA-based. Me home town 😪

I love how relaxed and happy the daughters are while they're driving to the lab. "Oh, everybody's dead, we're under a mysterious dome." Susan Hart ("Lisa") is the widow of AIP co-founder James Nicholson and also did a number of the popular beach movies in the 1960s. According to his obituary, William Boyce ("Cal") portrayed The Marlboro Man at one point in his career. The whole film cost about $80,000 to shoot.
The $80,000 went for the jeep in the end scene, eh?
Three quarters of the entire cost to make this movie (budget of $80,0000) was spent on rental of the fog machines -- the TRUE stars of the show! 🤪 If they could have had a budget of $90,000, they would've been able to afford to rent a state-of-the-art bubble machine!! 🤣

When the budget was exhausted after nine days of shooting - - the cast worked the rest of the shoot without pay !

Cool, dad😎 Ours was the 66 red Malibu wagon. The rear- facing seats were so fun! Got replaced with a VW Bug for Dad, and a 70 Camaro LT1 for Mom, her mother's day present from Dad. Like 2 yrs later she divorces the guy 🙄, changed EVERYthing! He was my best friend, ya know? But hey, years later I had the Camaro in my possession, but not the title..Mom again!

Definitely one of the better rubber suit monsters. One of the things I love about all these low budget gems is no CGI. Everything we see is real - ironically in movies that are pure fantasy.

I so agree bad ass real monster movie one of my favorites of the 60's. Always I grew up with this movie I love the slime men costumes and was always a big Robert Hutton, Susan Hart and Les Tremayne Fan!
I saw this movie on a double bill with ":the crawling hand" in the summer of "63 in a Times Square Movie theatre. I was 17 at the time.
Thanks for posting. I’ve seen Robert Hutton in The Man Without A Body 1957 & They Came From Beyond Space 1967. Despite him often turning up in B movies like this one, he’s always worth watching. I liked the Slime People very much, poor things.

This movie is a perfect time capsule of old American B-movie tropes. Also, I love the line, "That's an order!". Apparently in the 60s sports broadcasters outranked Marines...

Whenever the Slime People appear, the concurrent "fog" helps to obscure their cheesy rubber costumes.

Two of the last lines in this film accurately predicted what some of the audience members would say to each other when this movie FINALLY ended. "Man, am I glad that's over with" and "C'mon, let's get out of here!!" 😖 😂 ...... But, THANKS PizzaMan!!

You definitely didn't grow up in NYC! I'm 58 and I saw this a ton of times there on TV in the 70s.
I’ve got a few years on you thought I’ve seen just about every silly monster movie made, but somehow this one slipped past me until now! Never seen any pictures of these “slime people” and they seem to have some originality to them.

I work with some of the Slime people. They are irritable but better after lunch. Just don't allow them to bring their spears into the office and you will be ok.
I love the zero budget for special effects and instead of showing them, they just tell us what is happening. BRILLIANT!

I think I saw this at the drive-in when I was a little kid. Dad would throw all the kids and our friends in the back of his International Travel-all (no seat belts or car seats!) and drive us down to a near-by town that had a drive-in theater for the Saturday afternoon matinee". The neighborhood moms appreciated a break from all the brats. Dad would pop a bunch of popcorn and put in a big paper bag, after drizzling with butter and salt, and we'd pass the bag around, becoming a greasy mess. Usually a double feature, plus ads and cartoons. I remember this film and I was terrified of those scary slime people and the burbling noise they made!
Along with pillows and blankets so we could fall asleep in the back

The film involves a race of subterranean reptile-men "slime people" who create a wall of "solidified fog" around Los Angeles and proceed to invade the city after being driven out of their subterranean homes by underground atomic tests.
The monsters are sluggish & slow and look like giant upright armadillos holding fishing spears. And what’s up with all that smog?

In an interview, star/director Robert Hutton said that neither he nor the stuntmen were ever paid for their work in this film.
Funny . These old movies do not let the music or sound effects interrupt/cover dialogue which all of todays movies have low dialogue and loud music and effects . When watching at home one has to turn the volume up to hear the dialogue and when the rush of music or sound effects go the neighbors down the street wonder what the hell is going on . :O)

Holy cow, one minute they have springfeild bolt action rifles. The next moment they have garand rifles.
Those old cars were so heavy, if you get it going you could crush 50 slick heads before it stops.
His jacket and tie never looked mussed up with all that action. Amazing
Nice to see the original, full version. The additional scenes are very small scenes 3 seconds here or 5 seconds there but fun to finally see the original cut as I would have watched on Sir Graves Ghastly here in Detroit on Saturday afternoon back in the early 70s.
One of my absolutely favorite sci fi films. Not cuz its great cinema but just cuz it was fun.

From your teaser, I was expecting "Invisible Alien". This film is quite good. It has an original basis with underground creatures building a heavy fog machine to enable them to live on the surface protected from the Sun and the environment. Its screenwriters however used the same trick still used by ones today for such scary films. The survivors are doing rather well, so to speed things up, the writers have people who do obviously dumb things to put themselves in danger. Writers have learned nothing over the years.
This film does add another thing. The survivors learn how to kill the creatures and then immediately forget it, so they continue to go on patrol with rifles which they know don't work. Then they fortuitously rediscover what they had known to save the day.

Convenient to stage a lengthy sequence in the film studio where the movie itself was shot, under the guise of it being a TV station.
For those who don't know. Les Tremayne, the old man was Mentor on the 1974 Shazam series. And he was the voice of the Commander Roberts in the American dub version of King Kong Vs Godzilla 1963.
Sometimes a B- grade movie can be pretty good because a limited budget forces the producer and director to be creative and work better with what they have . Something you don't really see 🙈 today

Such a bad movie. Loved it! Just what I needed.
Couldn't help but notice the marine has a 1903 Springfield rifle slung on his shoulder, then turns around and it's now an M-1 Garand, near the end both guys have Springfields, the Garand disappeared. Loved the prices on the walls of the meat market too...bacon was $1.00 for 3LBS., .59 cents a pound for prime rib roast, etc. And finally, running around the mountains in high heels is very fashionable, but not very practical. It was a pretty good movie overall.

A great bad movie to watch with a fan blowing on you this hot and humid Friday night (summer, ugh).
Ha, I love it. Get down to your skivys and dab yourself with water and enjoy the movie ❤. I went out in this heat and bought home some ribs to eat while watching ❤

It's ... tropical. LUVVV it!!!

Octobers often get blizzards ... 1st week of June, one year, I still couldn't get my car over the still-frozen thick ice in my driveway 'til the 2nd week of June ... & one UNhappy 4th of July, I needed my down jacket & jeans & cowboy boots just to watch fireworks for ½-hour & I was STILL shivering & my teeth were chattering from the cold - NOT Lol.
Buddy Holly hated these winters & called the -35° temps their "Tour from Hell" ... the reason he rented the Bonanza plane to get to Fargo, ND, & Moorhead, MN, for their next concert ... five minutes after take-off after their last concert in Clear Lake, Iowa, the plane crashed in a brutal winter storm ... .💔 🤙~ 💖

For as much as people knock this flick, ya gotta admit that the actual slime people costumes are pretty cool. If you were a kid in the 60s and saw stills of these monsters in Famous Monsters or any other magazine of the decade, you were INTRIGUED. The 10-year-old in me still loves this movie...yeah, it's BEYOND cheesy, but they're still creepy monsters. GREAT STUFF! I have a resin model kit of a Slime Person and I LOVE IT! P.S. A lot of the music score was boosted from IT THE TERROR FROM BEYOND SPACE.

Thought I had seen all the B movies but I had not seen this one. Many thanks for uploading. I love these films. They are much better than the modern CGI nonsense. We saw Meg2 yesterday and it was not a patch on this one. And, instant LOVE for the two girls ha ha. Fast workers those American men… Have you any more of these gems?

The theatrical release of this film was under an hour, which was unusual even for the times when movies were much much shorter than today. Didn't know there was a longer version.
A lot of music cues toward the end from IT THE TERROR FROM BEYOND SPACE (Sawtell/Shefter), as part of a stock music library of cues used in this.
