- Joe Day is back with another Marvel rip, this time he is opening a sealed box of 1993 Skybox Marvel Universe series 4! This was the first offering from Skybox, and it definitely took Marvel card collecting to a new place with the cool design and awesome inserts!

You know you getting old when folks say they haven’t seen these cards before. These marvel cards were my highlight of the day. I Still have the ones I bought 30 years ago.
Nothing beat ripping Marvel cards in the early 90's! So much fun!
What I love about Marvel cards like these is that all of them look like inserts. You rarely see a card that looks like a "base" card. I might have to get a box.

Amazing to see the price of the Spiderman vs Venom hologram. Really cool looking cards and I love the way it a scene when put in the pages. Great looking foil cards.
Thanks for the rip Joe! I quite like these marvel cards, I just wish the current products were a bit more affordable. Some of the sets are quite expensive.
I will be ripping a case of fleer ultra wolverine for the channel (well a few boxes of it) and it is one of the more "affordable" ultra modern sets out there.
I remember opening a box of 1999 Sp authentic back in 1999 and hitting the Dante Culpepper and felt like I hit the lottery because rookies were 1:box and the box was $120.00. He was the best rookie. Sadly, the card got stolen and the guy who stole the card actually told me that he was going to grade the card. This hobby can really be something…….

@@MikesRetroTradingCards At the time, it was $120 card, which paid for the box. I still don’t let people see my stuff because of him 25 years ago…..
I commented in the middle of the video and didn't wait until the cards in the sleeves at the end. Unless box prices are outrageous I'm definitely getting a box.
Great rip. Mike is going to have to approach rips more competitively if he is to dethrone Joe Day as King of Retro Rips.

I miss Skybox sports cards.
Skybox had some fun stuff back in the day. I'm not sure if UD uses the skybox brand for any sports cards, but they still use it for non sports.
That was my very first box break I’ve ever watched. I’d watch Joe break Little Mermaid…..
