This is some great info for people getting into espresso.
I remember when I got into it, I was VERY confused by all the acronyms people used when talking about equipment.
This would have made it a lot easier!

Thank you. Yes I hope it helps prototype understand what exactly the difference is between models to compare when they are looking to buy. Cheers luke

Luke, a nicely prepared instructional video, thanks. Next you should detail the pros/cons of rotary vs flick type steam and hot water valves. I personally prefer rotary valves, but others likely will disagree. Finally, you might want to discuss the contribution of the grinder to the whole process of espresso production, meaning (as I ultimately earned) don't invest all of your funds into a higher end espresso machine whilst buying a relatively cheaper/more modest grinder. In my own experience, the grinder is the more important bit of kit to buy. What are your recommendations for us to buy grinders as beginning novices when undertaking the espresso journey? Cheers. Sure the levers would be a good one. As for the grinder we have covered this in a video where I looked at different packages. Cheers luke

Nice video, thank you! What about volumetric machines? Like your LaMarzocco, the one that mesures yield of your shot? Is that a feature only seen on big commercial machines?

Your referring to volumetric programming. Domestic machines have these, the machines in this video are referring to Italian e61 manual style machines. Helping to clear info in the sub $4k price point. There are many options that offer volumes in button control

Hi Luke, this video is so helpful. Thankyou. What would you advise as the ideal type of expreso machine for small commercial outlets. We are opening a FOODTRUCK and I’m not sure which way to go. We would have a good volume of demand, but working in limited space. Thanks Jo

We recommend the mazzer knot grinder for trailers with an Expobar compact 2 group. Great prices and flexible power options in the machine of 10 or 15 amp.

Hi looking for some advice. Would the San Remo cube espresso be a good home use machine. I am looking to upgrade and improve on my latte art which this machine would need to provide me given the cost. Would you recommend it? Or what would you recommend for a good home machine please.

Yes it’s great, there are many options that offer the same specifications but it’s more about the look you are after in your home. The cube has lots of colours and matching grinders. Other brands at this price to look at would be rocket, quickmill and La Marzocco
