      Tiny Notes From Home, I've had some dealings with boys myself, and I can tell you, they do need to be taught RESPECT for women. For some strange reason, (like breeding) they seem to be under the impression they are dominant over girls even with their siblings. If this mentality isn't cleared up right away, they will carry that into adult hood and it causes major relationship issues for them.

      I am fortunate in that my boys did not try to dominate their sisters and they are not domineering with their wives. I did teach my children from a very small age though by example as well as discipline and precept to treat each other with respect.

      +Cindy Jones that is called toxic masculinity and it is a huge problem in America. My husband was raised in a different country and he cannot believe the way American men speak to their wives and daughters.

    That was nice to listen to. As a mom of 7 boys, I would sometimes let them set the table while blindfolded. Now a boring chore became a fun challenge.

    Such a blessing indeed~very grateful when I get to feel a bit less doubtful about my role with my children...living apart from the world, yet w/in it can be isolating at certain points in life and I am living out a period of that currently. I don't have other faithful women in my life right now so finding encouragement online is a treat~could have listened to you both all day~easily =)

    That's exactly what I did!! Ok, 5 laps around the house. I was thinking about it just when she said that. Also I would allow them to do one subject in a different place other than the table or at their desk. Like , weather permitting, would get to do reading or journaling in the tree house or fort etc. Mine are grown now with their own families and all are homeschooling their children. I miss those days but sure enjoy being a Nana to 8 little ones. God is good!!!

    I looooved this as all yalls vids, vlogs, music... Really helped even as a grandmother. Also, at the beginning when she was talking about not having going to church to be like a checklist (go to church) to let it be in your heart (her exact phrasing escapes me) which me & my husband had been out awhile (backsliding). I could go on to explain more but trying to keep it short lol. Yall are a true blessing!!🙌🙏so thrilled, tickled & blessed to have found yalls channel. Many blessing!! Love from alabama💖 p.s. please keep me & my husband in prayer as well as my kids & grandkids (esp my son, daughter in law & grandson, I have a daughter, son in law & granddaughters also but they truly have a heart for the Lord, they're walk talk etc... Shows that. My son in law actually was asked to give the message last week bc our pastor wouldn't be there & it was a true blessing of a message! Anyway, like I said I could go on forever lol. Thanks again!!

    What a great video! My children are all grown, now, and I can say, this is wisdom. I also discovered that my two boys from a young age did not copy me as their mom. They listened and were respectful (required), but they copied Dad. If Dad was not on board with what I was trying to do with them, or didn't think it was important, neither did they. That could be frustrating for me at times, but I know that it's God's design for boys becoming men.

    You are both so gentle and to be admired. But, a young mother once asked me how to stop her three boys under the age of 6 to stop hitting and being mean to each other she has tried talking to them about being kind and loving but it's not sticking what on Earth should she do about these boys who refuse to listen. time out? No dessert? Extra chores? Do a nice thing for the offended child who is 3 years younger than the 6 year old and is getting beat up and cannot defend himself? Practical instructions please are needed.

    What a lovely video and a good talk between you. I had two girls and a boy, and sometimes I think it was too much for my son with all that girl stuff everywhere. Except in his room, of course. When he grew up, he tried to be the toughest guy around and I wished that my husband would have done more manly stuff with him then. But he grew up to become a fine and wonderful young man, so I think not all went wrong. Noah is such a cutie pie, adorable!

    Push-ups for boys! They love it - even when it is used as a discipline tool :). Most times it was done with a laugh on our part and a cheesy grin from them like a “I deserved this!” And I’ve met many moms who used this as well....training and wear them out at the same time!

      1 Corinthians 11:5,6 talk about woman wearing head coverings. It's definitely a choice that should be done out of love (if you decided to do it) and not because you feel you have to do it or someone is making you. (Just want to add that because there are some people who have attended places where people would be very mean and judgmental toward women who wear make up and do not cover their head)

    • @christy0misty353

    • @brandi5126
      @brandi5126 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Christy0Misty haha I thought the same thing after I posted. I think many people are so put off by the idea of modesty because they have been taught that their worth as a woman is in their outer appearance instead of their inner. I choose to cover my head and I almost never wear make up and I must say it is freeing haha but I definitely agree people think negatively against women who do choose to cover too.

    I love what you both have to say here. However having raised two boys, bossy controlling behavior is dangerous in a husband and father and only hurts his family, especially his wife. This kind of behavior should never be tolerated let alone encouraged. Boys should be taught and encouraged to express their leadership in kinder and more productive ways. Leadership does not have to be either bossy or controlling as this kind of behavior is disrespectful and unkind. Please don't encourage these behaviors!
