Can RPC nodes do signature verification before they send to the leader, and if they send too many transactions that fail signature verification they get taxed and/or deprioritized?

1. yes it’s called preflight check
2. I don’t think so… Taxed absolutely not, deprioritized, probably not it depends on the RPC, but in the agave client no.
