Hi, I think you missed out adding the Aliexpress link. My window switch broke in exactly the same way, I am itching to repair it with Qbond, but doubt that'll ask cause the attachment points are so slim.
Yes, I have seen it done without removing the door card but in my opinion that is not easier. The cable that connects to the switch is barely long enough to allow you to remove the switch. There js a video on TH-cam demonstrating this. But it can be done.

That’s why people take it to the shop. Too tricky even with trim removers I don’t have.

did you even test the window rolling up & down afterwards?
Of course I did. Go to 21:55 of the video. It was the first thing I did once everything was put back together.
