Great product. 17 year old Miata, made the lens look almost new.

I’m a detailed I restore headlights tip for next time - sand to 800 or 1000 maximum and don’t polish, then apply clear coat. It will fill in the sanding scratches and have a surface to tack and bind to and create a clear look. If you polish it it will just come off after a few weeks

I just bought this and used it on my 20 year old Porsche… with bad headlamps. This 3M product made them almost brand new. Highly recommend it for old lamps.

I searched TH-cam on changing the bulbs in my sister's Buick that the dealership says the front bumper comes off to change the bulb. I ran across a couple videos on changing it that were a lot easier and cheaper than the around $200 that the garage charges.
So I'd suggest doing a search like 2008 Buick LaCrosse headlight replacement, what I did for my sister's car on TH-cam, and put your cars specs in instead.

I looked around, and I can't find another way. The good news is that it appears the headlight assemblies come off pretty easily, a plastic top cover, then three easy to reach bolts and they yank off. The bad news is that I have bad luck with this car and it's plastic parts breaking when I pull them off. And these headlight assemblies are $150 each, and that's the cheap one's from Amazon. Oh well, I'm committed now. lol, I ought to be committed, replacing perfectly fine parts.

Hmm. Maybe I should look into these kits. My '97 Toyota headlight covers are opaque. I won't even drive the car at night, even though it's in otherwise perfect condition. I call an Uber or something if it's dark.

Its a shame 3M didn't include a polishing compound in the kit? Nevertheless it turned out great welldone sir!!🤩🤔😎👍

Random question: do you think the included 3m adapter for the drill could be used for polishing or waxing? I'm guessing that it's too small in size, but I'm just wondering

Sure it could. I doubt I'd use it for anything other than small areas I couldn't get a bigger pad in, like the windshield frame on my CJ-7, but there's no reason it wouldn't work.

As I've used this 3M kit more than once, As Demonstrated here a brilliant result,!! I have refined it by adding and polishing with the orange foam polishing pad, Which in my opinion gives greater clarity and shine before applying the clearcoat, I didn't use the wipes, Instead I used a more professional product with added UV protection! Never apply any clearcoat in direct Sunlight!!! Find a shaded area or wait untill the Sun goes down!!!🇬🇧👍
