RIP Ole Anderson. Still remember him from when I was a kid. Pleasure to watch his matches and interviews on TH-cam as an adult where I could appreciate it more. He was right about the McMahons and it's a shame what wrestling has become.
Ole Anderson was one of the very best. He was able to leave wrestling heathy, with alot of money and was never a mark for himself. He treated it like a business and made money his entire career. And he was right about Vince McMahon.
Honestly Ole comes across really good in this interview, I think it's safe to say that his health went very downhill by the time he did his other interviews. It actually seems like he doesn't realize how interesting his story actually is and it seems like he thinks no one wants to listen to him but that's absolutely not true.
About the 47-49 min mark...what he is talking about is Meltzer and the Wrestling Observer HOF lol. He's referring to that classic interview available on YT where he streamrolls Meltzer for about 20 glorious minutes lol
"I don't care about the hall of fame!" "So why did you devote a whole chapter to it in your book?" "How many pages in the chapter, Dave?" "4 or 5 pages!" "Oh, that's a lot isn't it?" "Well it's in there"
He said Moline,IL which is in the Quad Cities Area which is where i live and grew up here.. Pretty cool too hear him say that, because there is nothing here in this part of Illinois..
Rip Ole you know people always talk about how grumpy ge was well i would rather have someone like Ole around because at least he was honest.. Ole in the ring and on the mic was brilliant he had a great mind despite what anyone may think of him..
The older I get the more I appreciate the old timers . I want authenticity not pomp and circumstance . Wrestling , the sport should still be the cornerstone of the business and not this show biz implausible cirque du soliel childish nonsense they push today . I am not attracted to trash TV at my age .
Sometime after late 2001 and before his 60th birthday in 2002. He mentioned he was still in his 50's, Owen's tragedy in 99 and of course _ Vince Mcmahon's special and elite club that he started after Survivor Series 2001 in late November.
At 16 minutes 41 seconds the recording gets very choppy in the middle of Ole telling a story about Stu and him going into his girl lodgers house. Then after about a minute you can hear Ole say: "I hope that doesn't get me in trouble". So we don't get to hear the story 🙁. Was that the original recording quality?
I've heard the story before. The toilet was overflowing all over the floor. You used to be able to find this interview on y tube without the audio problem on the Stu-toilet story.
@@simonb4664 Thanks. I really thought I knew everything about anything or anyone in pro-wrestling but I was wrong. Yet I'm quite amazed reading what you mentioned...

His story about Lou Thesz was worth the price of admission alone!

RIP Ole. He lived to see Vince McMahon destroyed. Ole was right on Vince and many other things. A great heel and phenomenal on the stick.
Wow that's awesome that it was actually his real voice doing the Black Scorpion!! I figured he was using the serial killer voicebox gimmick
" Big Boss man, I'm going to punish you for what you did to me! " Nailz via the serial killer voice box.
Legendary. Wrestling was so much better during his time. RIP Ole Anderson.
I think this is the first time I have heard someone from Minnesota say ''Do what now?'' 😆 (yes I know he spent a lot of time in Georgia)
Ole Anderson RIP ☠️🙏 Monday, 2/26/2024
He was the best because he told you the truth , which is too hard nowadays for soft people to understand

Ole was so believable back in the day.
This must have been around 2003, since that's when his book came out.
Ole Anderson as Rock Rogowski in Calgary Stampede Wrestling 4/4/1968- 5/16/1968
first, it was Ole Anderson and now, (Lonely) Virgil. Dang, that just sucks, man.

I assume this was circa 2002/2003 if the book was set to be released but not actually out yet?
Sounds about right.
Yeah, my guess is 2002.

Look up Ole Anderson Stu Hart shoot, and you'll find out it's about a girls lodge having an overflowing toilet. It's not what you think 😅😅

This is how the original video was recorded from 2002 when it was posted on a non TH-cam wrestling fan website.
What stunk in stus house a body?
Supposedly he had a lot of cats.
