Karen, it was pretty amazing to see the behavioral changes of every species once I made my lighting as close to nature as I could with an actual dark time. They just get into such rhythms that even when power goes out and messes up timers, they are in the right place to heat up or go to sleep at the right time.

Can you further explain how your under substrate irrigation works? How do you put water into it? Do you have a drainage layer underneath? How do you get your grass to grow and look so good without your tortoises eating it all? Do you use any natural fertilizer or do you just constantly replace the grass?
