Dear, 1.Because we cannot take width of footing as width of flange. 2. Beam action is like T Beam (not rectangular). Hence, we have to calculate web and flange for the same.
You didn't use width of flange in any condition Can you explain? ..and in strap beam, i think due to hogging moment, 6 bars should place in top zone, not in bottom zone

Whatever the value of BM across the footing, shall we always take the depth of strap beam on the basis of the Moment on the Edge of Eccentric Footing?
