Charlie Pride inspired me to write my first song, a country song in 1967. (Don't You Know) I Can't Take it. My song about a relationship falling apart. I'll sing it at open mics but never published it or recorded it. Charlie had a genuine one of a kind country voice. Nice cover Marty. When I do cover songs at open mics I do them as a tribute to the artists and songwriters. I also buy the records of my favorite songs which I cover. Music is my best medicine as I near hitting the big 70 in March. Been playing guitars since age 13 and learn something new every day. Thanks again Marty.
Great job great song love your ability to relay the chords in a very easy understandble manner. Thanks for sharing definetly going to subscribe and learn more songs. God bless you and God bless Charlie pride. ❤
Nice, and works well, but I recall this song being in E, not G. I play it with capo on 2nd fret starting with a D chord (E) and alternate to G and A (A and B). Great choice for easy (and good) song.
How are you this afternoon Marty ..... I Am a huge new fan of all of your tutorials ... I was wondering if you could maybe do Justin Timberlake’s “Drink You Away” soon on your channel ...... ??? LOVE ALL OF YOUR WORK ..... God bless you and your family
Hey! Love your walkthroughs so much! They have gotten me back into guitar! Could you look into “having fun all wrong” by Roger Craeger or “six pack to go” by Vern Gosdin? The latter would keep in spirit with older country
I am very grateful to him because he showed me that its possible to learn fast and enjoy music, even when you are a beginner. Thank you!

Let Google be your friend ...
Hello; Charlie sang this song in the key of E. I would have preferred, if your video reflected the key of E
We lost a few country legends in 2020 from coronavirus

have you heard about Dennis Watermans death, another good song (I COULD BE SO GOOD FOR YOU)
I can play the tune, but if I try and sing or even hum everything falls apart.
👍🙏🏻
It just dawned on me how much a Jimmy Buffet song resembles this song!
Seems like the chorus is wrong
