This is a nice simple, very easy design that I will use on some stones/cabochons that I have. My first? Nothing that simple or easy. Maybe a Tree of Life class I took through my gem and mineral club. Or where you weave and wrap a folded wire with smaller wire to enclose a cabochon with spirals. Been a while. Loving the more simple wraps that allow one to enjoy more of the beauty of the stone and especially with the oddball shapes of tumbled stones.

This is so straightforward, easy, and looks great! Doesn’t hide the gem stone like some designs do. Thanks for sharing it!!

Oh my gosh, this is not only a lot easier, but looks so much nicer than the other methods! Unfortunately I already wrapped a polished stone using the “cage” method as I call it. It turned out fairly good but I’m sure glad I found this video! I’m off to wrap more using the way you just showed. Thanks for sharing!🥰

I love this necklace this may make me some money just a little pocket money here I’m very low income and I want to tell u thank you so much for making this video and teaching us this necklace it’s a recovery program I go to and we can sell our jewelry there because it’s a art gallery and it’s on consignment our hand made jewelry and other art but we love just having fun there to painting and doing art projects and jewelry making this is something they must learn at home though, the program is a non profit organization here in the states and it’s been around for 10 plus years and it’s to support the recovery of people who have mental illness. As most know Art helps to reduce anxiety, thank you for making this video

OMG ! I'm new to wire wrapping & recently found a lovely crystal that I wanted to wrap ... I watched a few videos to give me ideas first but none were just right for one reason or another. I made a few more attempts ... but not very successfully
    ... and so gave up.
A few days later your video just popped up on my feed. It's absolutely perfect, exactly the look that I want too.
So simple and straight forward, not fussy looking & showing as much of the crystal as is possible !
I just know without a doubt that this
    is within my capabilities.
Your instructions were so straight forward & easily understandable.
Thank you SO much for this ....
now my lovely crystal won't be wasted.

Thank you so much Lily!! This was so pretty & the easiest I've LEARNED by FAR!! I'm VERY new to this wire wrapping craft & watching TONS of videos to learn. And yours was the FIRST that I REALLY could focus & concentrate on the WHOLE ENTIRE TIME. It is so beautiful yet simple to understand & do. It was NOT overwhelming like many I have watched. PERFECT FOR BEGINNERS LIKE MYSELF!! So this will be MY #1 FIRST I ATTEMPT!! Thank you so very very much for all your help!! Your a wonderful Teacher Lily!! Keep up the good work My Friend & especially My new Mentor!! 😉 👍 👌 💖

I have tried this "simple" method a dozen times. The stone ALWAYS falls out the bottom and the wires are always a tangled mess. I am getting so frustrated. Is this really so simple that I have to conclude that I'm totally inept and can never make any kind of wire wrapping ever, or do you know what's wrong? I play your utube tape and stop it step by step to follow your instructions, but what I come up with is unrecognizable.

Hi and thank you for this beginners video. I have a beautiful 1and 1/4" small rectangular stone. It's beautiful. My hubby cut off from a thicker stone. Dark brown/soft dark yellow/ smokey whitish...if you can imagine. I would like to wrap it like this to not deter from the beauty of the stone with wire wrap (which can be nice, too,,).
I'm brand new at this...will this work on this stone? Thank you very much?

4.32 I am trying to make a simple- looking wire wrapped cross over a flat piece of sea glass. It's for a bracelet, so I need a loop at the top and bottom to connect to the links. Do you have any suggestions or a video on how to make this? Thanks!

Hi. May of 2023 and I'm an oldster trying my hand at this. My hubby finds stones, tumbles and even has tried cutting a few. All shapes and sizes. I've just started and it's Hard. Saw this and am going to give it go to gain some confidence. I am hoping I can use this on larger sized and irregular stones, too. Thank you

Very nice! I am afraid that if I don’t have the wire around the bottom of the stone, it will eventually fall out but can see your method keeps it nice and secure. So simple, especially good for when you don’t want too much wire covering up the beautiful stone! Thanks so much, I’m going to try this on some beach agates!

    • @LilyTree

Yes, you should be able to, as long as you have the wide part at the top. The top doesn't need to be horizontal, but you might need to think about where to put the top wrap and the bail so that it hangs how you want it to. ☺
