I fell in love with this channel when you were a bright-eyed college kid living out her dreams at Disney and I envisioned myself in it and dreamed of making magic for guests. This channel has been a hallmark of my Disney happiness and seeing your growth with them has been remarkable. Evidently, it's implausible and unhealthy to be positive 24/7, but your optimism throughout this pandemic has lightened my heart (in all honesty.) I'm so proud of where you've come and eager to see where you go, we love you loads
Totally can relate to that gut wrenching feeling of watching your dream career slip between your fingers. I also worked part-time at disney and was let go. But nothing compares to being furloughed as a flight attendant, bc that was my career. But time heals all wounds. It’s seriously like a breakup, you get really mad, then really sad, then really defeated but then the hope comes again. Give yourself space to feel, you have plenty of time in the future to thrive again ❤️

That really put in perspective that you had made it into this small, elite team but after reading more, many articles highlighted how Radio Disney hit its peak in the mid to late 2000s and how personalized music streaming companies are undeniably gonna be the future and Disney's move to shift focus almost entirely on Disney+ content is a wise move. Now for you Emily Nels, I see you having a much bigger future with Disney potentially hosting a show on Disney+ wink wink, not to poopoo on RD but aim for the moon girl! If you are getting financial aid at all for college, I highly suggest not rushing to graduate since you are 100% sure about your career path or major. I was in the same situation and decided just to graduate with my current major without really doing what I wanted to do and I really regret it. I ended up going back to college 5 years afterwards and was no longer eligible for financial aid, only loans. It is a different situation for when getting a masters, but just wanted to make you aware, so you don't make the same mistake as me.
Everything will work out! You are still so young (I think I'm a few months younger LMAO) but seriously you're exactly where you are meant to be in life :)

If you are getting financial aid at all for college, I highly suggest not rushing to graduate since you are 100% sure about your career path or major. I was in the same situation and decided just to graduate with my current major without really doing what I wanted to do and I really regret it. I ended up going back to college 5 years afterwards and was no longer eligible for financial aid, only loans. It is a different situation for when getting a masters, but just wanted to make you aware, so you don't make the same mistake as me.
