i think you should keep the snow boots because even if there are only a few snowy days, they will avoid ruining another pair of shoes in the slush! so in that sense having them will save you money in the long run. especially bc im guessing you wont have a car in nyc and will be walking everywhere

I had bought the Sorel snow boots that were kind of pricey and were perfect! This winter was light and I never wore them, but I don’t think I’ll need to buy new boots for a long time🤗
