This video is based on Stepwise Regression Analysis which is a form of Method-based Hierarchical Regression Analysis. When we have 2 or more predictors (IVs) and one outcome (DV) and we are not sure about the relative importance of predictors, than Stepwise Regression is conducted.

If we have Big Five Personality Types as Predictors and Depression as DV, than we will enter Five Subscales of Personality Inventory in "Predictors" and Depression in "Department". (In case when iv has subscales) If we have Big Five as Predictors and Depression Anxiety and Stress as 3 DVs, Naw we will run Hierarchical Regression 3 times, 1st we will enter Big Five subscales in "Predictors" and Depression in Dependent. 2nd time will will replace depression with anxiety and 3rd time will replace anxiety with stress. (This is in case when both iv and dv has subscales)
Sir, why do we need to add Confidence Interval - LL and UL values in the table ? Can I make my Stepwise multiple regression table without mentioning these values.
Hierarchical regression also excludes variable which do not fit in the regression model. So you can see the last table in output would be based on excluded variable.

I have a query. I am taking 3 variables for hierarchical regression analysis. The output yields coefficients only for 2 variables. Why is that so?
