@Billy Strings hey man, you were recomended to me earlier today here on TH-cam. I'm grateful for that. Your music, your guitar skills, your history/ story, damn man your dad's Martin guitar story, and what you did to get it back. I found out one of my old friends died today and I was numb until I listened to your hobo song and it reminded me of the final days of his life and the tears came on. I've been playing guitar/bass for 27 years now. My dad plays too, and certainly who inspired me to play. I'm just a stranger, but man I feel a kinship to your music and story. Really, thank you man. It's been a long time since I've heard something so fresh and powerful.
Taz, Christine Ingram, Billy Strings and Molly Tuttle will keep Americana, Blues, Jam music alive for decades to come....interestingly they were all prodigies in the tradition of Derek Trucks

Billy is pumping such a potent shot of fresh ideas into a solid foundation of old tyme in a way that is unbelievably exciting. This kid is a genuine legend in the making. If you are able to catch him live, do yourself a favor and see him, or regret it for the rest of your life. Cheers P[>

All of them were prodigies in the mold of Derek Trucks...so we're good for the next 40-50 years!
....along with Sierra Hull, Sarah, Jarosz, Samantha Fish, Rhiannon Giddens, Hubby Jenkins, Dom Flemons, the Walker Brothers......and the list goes on... These aren't common household names because commercial radio sucks ass, and the powers-that-be in the music industry promote only the ones they think will sell a lot of records....
As Eddie Trunk pointed out on his show last night that it will be club acts of all formats that will get a big boost once Covid restrictions lighten up. People are starving for live music. Hopefully these artists will ride the wave as well.

Hope Taz starts/joins a jam band (instead of going down the traditional and more commercially attractive blues/rock route) tours like crazy and gives us old gypsies another great band to follow for the next 50 years and 100+ songs that only Taz insiders know by heart.
His band he tours with now is incredible. I saw them in August and they were on fire. They definitely jammed on everything whether originals or covers of The Dead, The Meters, Santana, & more. Met him and his pops after the show, that kid is going places!

It's only a matter of time until Billy goes full time electric with drums, electric bass and keys.
So he could sound like every other band out there.no thanks. how about using whats good for the song instead of just using what everybody is used to.
