Re-using Fusion Materials is kind of the name of the game with Gem-Knights. If they ever add Gem-Knight Fusion as a card then it'll be a bit more obvious, but Recycling Plant is a good way to go about it without access to the themed card.

I kept up with your videos after seeing you play around with Mai's Harpie deck. It's been a long time since I played the original TCG as a kid, so I got back into it for the nostalgia. While the speed dueling format surprised me, I am having a lot of fun playing the game. I've seen the one video about Bad Vs Good decks, but there wasn't enough elaboration or definitive meaning by "engine" and "resources" you've brought up sometimes in other vids. I'd love to learn more and make my own decks with wisdom from another duelist.
Hey'o Shady! So, after you just stuffing my feed with Duel Links over this entire year, I finally caved in and watched the Lightsworn Plants one, because I actually knew what Lightsworn cards did from one of the DS games. ANYWAY, after that I just started playing yesterday, and with all the gems they started me with I splurged on those Primal Force packs, hoping to get, well, Lightsworn cards! I didn't get nearly enough, like, 40 packs later. But I DID have a crap-ton of Gem-Knights and their fusion spells/traps. So I basically just slapped as many of those and their fusions as I could into a deck and ran in with almost no memory on how to play the game. I've been having a blast. I still have no idea when I can play a Quick-Play spell vs a normal one, or why I only seem to be able to activate a trap SOME of the time. (I could just google these things, but I consider it part of the fun) So in my incredibly novice opinion, I think a Gem-Knight Prismaura would be super-helpful to have as an option against those bamboo engines. Unless I'm completely mistaken on what a Bamboo Sword engine is. Which is very likely. I don't see these things in my first day of ranked.
A fun little OTK i've been running is Topaz Turbo. With Particle fusion topaz's attack becomes 3400 min ( unless you decide to use lazuli for second effect for whatever reason). Anti magic arrows nearly always guanrtness a win unless your opponent preemptively econs. Useing the Thunder dragon engine you can thin your deck and fuse for both seraphknight and prisumara useing them. An alternative engine to run is the hunder engine, allowing you to use particle fusion easier, however it makes utlizeing topaz harder. It should be noted that Brohunder can search out your tourmaline and sishunder can get it back from the grave. I prefer to use Kaiba for his beatdown skill, allowing Seraph and Topaz to get over a tad more bulky monsters

I honestly couldn’t decide between citrine or ruby. One plays similar to AG the other is terra firma with piercing. Its very big piercing though if you play particle fusion. I guess it’s up to whatever you want to play for them. Topaz though is absolutely busted.
You should be using the specific gem knight fusion spells/traps you can just banish one fusion material and get all that attack added on, I've hit like 4500 attack on my second turn before its lit

I'm really excited to see what the meta will look like in when we finally get to the Zexal era the Barian arc is my favorite next to the original season 2 battle city arc.
Why no prismura in the deck? - more budget friendly then master diamond whilst being more useable and has a very relevant effect - I could be wrong but would guess is a better option 75% of the time then topaz which you near enough summon in the same way plus major synergy with lizuli Basically suggesting diamond out and prismura in
Its gonna take some time, but Konami will learn with its mistakes. Having more things to ban/limit is going to get more frequent with the release of new cards to the game. The last pack bought us 5 new Archetypes, but almost all are unplayable do to be missing key cards. I think they learnd their lesson with CA and are afraid to make archetypes broken again.
Konami will never be perfect. Honestly, they have to manage the physical TCG as well. You cannot expect them to fix it how you always want it. I will defend Konami for what they do.
Hey Shady ive been trying to do some research on drop skills and keep finding comflicting advice. From most of what ive found theres claim that the skill "restart" is a universal drop skill which i would love on bakura, but i keep seeing people both saying it is and you can and others saying that its only for the few characters listed. Ive even seen that not all universal skills such as the draw senses can be gotten by everyone. This whole drop skill thing is confusing. I would appreciate it if you could message back with an answer or even better make a video explaining it?
Lord Jashin only some characters can get the skill restart bandit Keith has it as one of his lvl up abilities but other than that there's a few that can get it
Been using a Gem knight deck using the bamboo swords. It is disgusting. They are definitely going to have to limit gold bamboo in addition to sprite. Been trying it in a lot of random decks with the bamboo draw engine and there is a lot of disgusting combo potential.
Well, he said that he'll finish Fire Emblem after he finishes Ultra Sun/Moon (and after that, the stuff on Shady Made, his second channel). Of course that will only happen if and when he gets tired of Duel Links again, which is not very likely to happen. I'm honestly expecting another "Don't expect anything to come back"-video to be released at this point.
Exodia, Fire Princess, etc. cheese type decks will become a problem after the Sprite ban/limit. Gold Bamboo needs to be semi-limited or limited to 1. It will be the right move to make on Konami's part.
I made a six samurai deck that Interfered with my opponent. It’s hilarious 😂. I still get destroyed by bamboo and now this gem Knight deck and other decks but it's fun to play hopefully u can help me improve it because I just want to have fun playing this game. The problem is cursed sword searching bamboo swords, if they make that effect a once per turn then the problem is solved. Banning woodland sprite would only prove that they don't understand the game. The issue is the consistency of bamboo OTK, not that it's possible.
I still played it like it was good. Lol. Took it to some local tournaments and did pretty well. Always sad that it wasn't as good as it had the potential to be.
Hey could you make an ultimate infinite downgrade effect deck like for example settin a monster and the surprise baloons and a spellcard that comes back over and over See it as a challenge
In that first duel if you played Gem Knight Prismaura you could've just popped cerberus. There's no need to play any Gem Knight fusions that arent Citrine or Prismaura.
I enjoy duel links but I also do hope that they do provide a full game mode. (60 card decks/8000lp) for those who wish to play it. I know t's probably not going to happen but still.
ı have a gem knight deck when i first started but it wasnt really good. it wasnt enough for ranked. so i mixed it with other cards like silfer the sky dragon and blaze accelator 1900 dmg 4 star dragon (looks like red eyes impact UR) AND its pretty good but i play EXODİA deck with Arkana bcs its op
can someone explain why i cant activate "painful decision"? i can only set it when i have the card in my hand and thats it. do i need to make an effect (another card to send 1 monster) to activate "painful decision"?

Gamer supreme right? Sprite gets nerfed but bamboo exodia, bamboo cerberus are still going to be a thing. Not to mention worst things that could still be invented using bamboo
I think the issue is specifically the dark sword - concept of regular bamboo being useless but making golden a +1 is great! Add in an unnecssary searcher that happens to also have an arguably good other effect whilst also combo with golden is just too much!
Sprite still needs the ban as all sprite needs is a decent draw engine to go off. Bamboo just happened to be the perfect draw engine for it. Remember 3x black pendant is still 3k damage with sprite, all sprite needs is to draw into enough equips
IAMApLATINO I think what makes the Bamboo engine horrible to play vs is Woodland Sprite. I don't think Shady knows this, but it's not easy to win with Exodia like it is with the burn version.
Personally, I think the duel linkz ban/limit list is terrible. It doesnt really address any of the quick play spells or trap cards that are used in every deck. (Example 3 Enemy Controlers, 3 Super Rush). They have only baned or limited cards for very specific decks for very 1 or 2 spicific reasons. I think they should at least limit Cards that are constantly used and to busted at 3. As for future limits/bans, I would think alot of plant decks are gonna get hit with the hammer, specificly a limit on Rose princess. This video by the way is really cool, Gem Knights are my favorite fusion and its neat to see you use a gem deck. Good video, keep it shady :)
Shady go back to the tea cyber stein you made recently because there is a card where during the rest of the turn adding life points subtract and subtracting adds, so just use that before using the solemn.

Gem knights are awesome. I love getting super early wins by using pyroxene fusion and fragment fusion in the middle of the battle phase

topaz should attack first, it can deal damage equal to the destroyed monsters attack, citrine prevents them from activating set cards and effects

I use gem knights with with the master diamond I started about 7 days ago so I love it.
I hate the Bamboo thing but I can at least say the first Yami Yugi was actually creative using Cerberus instead of Woodland Sprite Burn

If there is a delay on summon... it's not wall of disruption. You always play around it when it's 100% not there lol
