If you're new here thanks for coming across, I served in the Australian Infantry from 2014-2021, With a tour to Afghanistan as a crew commander of a Armoured Mobility Vehicle.
Upon my Return I was unexpectedly diagnosed with a Incurable and Inoperable Brain tumour that is slowly killing me. I was also awarded the Queens Order of Australia Medal (OAM) hence the post nominals after my name. Then Being medically separated from the Army I flew to Ukraine in 2022 for 6.5months and now make content full time. I really appreciate you being here Thankyou

Blyat ammor looks very thin but it should be effective: I have notice since the start of the war, both Russian and Ukrainian all modified the charge on good old RPG-7 to use on the FPV drones or airdrop drones ... the only reason being must be the old charge must be not sensitive enough for the drone impact (dull can be good for rocket round but not good for the drones)
so now come back to the bar. the bar is to be strong enough to set off the dull charge from the rocket propelled rocket so if a thin corrugated roof panel can set it off why even bother with strong and heavy bars.
What this means it that the Western companies who are making the charge or the RPG should also divest to make more dedicated charge for FPVs: for example, the new terminal impact energy/momentum should be set such that the weapon can remain effective

Chasiv Yar has limited supply lines, so its logical for Russia to simply wait and grind it down from a safe distance - before considering any attack.

Feared? War is filled with offensive/defensive changes. That's all war tech really is. From the days of gambeson and spears, to maces and plate armor, to tanks and missiles. The Ukrainians were limited with what they could use without Western help. Drones were a game changer, but their limits are seen with designs like this being more effective against them. However, this design has a lot of draw backs, and does nothing to defend against the already developed, modern, anti-tank munitions. Anything with a tandem warhead will eat these fuckers for breakfast. So yeah, they're effective against drones. Are they going to nerf all of their tank/armored vehicles with added weight, a 90% decrease in vision, and an 80% decrease in what their turrets are able to target? Let's hope so, because while that may be effective against a drone it won't do shit against much else. Meanwhile they've managed to nerf their vehicle in the process.

Russia is mild in comparison with the Taliban. Hell, Russia is even mild in comparison with the US invasion in Iraq.
If you want to know how actual all-out war looks like, watch old WW2 documentaries. In that war, carpet bombing happened on major cities with the civilians being the actual target.
Russia seems to try hard to target military and dual-use shit only. They do hit civilians (as did the US invading Iraq btw - 100% accuracy doesn't exist). But it looks like (at least for the Donbas region), they plan on actually taking full ownership if what they conquer. Infrastructure is actually rebuilt and the provinces are managed. They aren't just turning everything to rubble and then leave the population alone with a destroyed economy.
War is hell. But this version of hell seems to be less brutal than the previous proxy wars between USA and Russia/USSR.

I feel bad for the guys doing the fighting under such terrible command. I get they don't have time to ditch the old Soviet command system & actually train western command structure, but man, they could at least implement "commander's intent" to decentralize it somewhat. Whatever... Perfect example being the failed offensive of last summer where they ignored the plans US brass laid-out for them to concentrate forces for a break-thru, instead dividing them 50/50 with a small diversionary force. Worked out great, lol. Yet we're still giving them resources... I'd hope that's with the caveat of "you'll do it our way or you get nothing" but since it's the soft west, I'm sure they didn't.

I'd expect Ukraine attempting to implement some type of dual explosive payload with an initial small explosion to take down the sheet metal/rebar & a second shaped-charge to damage the actual armor. No clue if you can do that with duct tape, RPG-7 rockets & a 40mm mortar though, lol
It depends on its role. It won't do shit against a Jav, but against a drone it will. They turned a tank designed to fight with a low signature and low weight into a massive, overweight, and sight limited/gun limited vehicle. Now if that's what they need then fine, but they're losing a tank in the process. Usually what would happen is the nation would design a purpose built vehicle for whatever the purpose of that vehicle is. Russia doesn't seem to be able to do that, so we get these Frankenstein monsters. If their goal is to carry EW equipment for the rest of the column, while protecting against drones, then I guess it works in a limited way. The problem is it makes them a large target, slow, damn near defenseless, and designates itself as target number 1 to any Javelin crew that's in the area.
Time will tell if it's effective or not.
Willy's voice is showing pain as he describes the degraded response from the Ukrainian military. His celebration of Ukraine holding Chasiv Yar is misplaced because the Russians are fully focused on extending their gains in Ocheretyne all the way to Pokrovsk.

This is the reason why many of those volunteers/mercs left after a few months or even weeks after they saw the reality of Ukraine. They’re used to having completely fire superiority over a few dudes with sandals and aks at 500+ meters. Not getting charged by columns of t72s and endless artillery in a muddy trench.
Nah man, at an infantry level they were wars. Police officers would never encounter what they did. Had a mate that served 7 years as heavy demolition. They got in some pretty big scraps, up to 100 guys. That is no SWAT raid. And those "Insurgents" are not insurgents, it's the main military power that held Afghanistan before and after the invasion. It's the Afgan government and army. Beat the Soviets as well. Not your average crooks. The scale was small, the intensity was not.
There are multiple types of wars, iraq started out more of a conventional war and then became more of an insurgency. Afghanistan was an insurgency. Technology changes rapidly, especially in war. Also, no one goes to war looking for a fair fight.

I'm willing to say it is fake. The SU model looks like a render, which isn't impossible to do once you get the scaling correct. It's simply too clean to be real compared to the quality of the background footage.
Secondly I own a Mini Pro 4 from DJI, the object sensors on the drones will only flash a red radial arrow when something is within 1.5 meters of the drone. Another thing, the operator actually rotates the drone in its' static position so it is definitely not zoomed in. So either the jet flew by and the wake did not fuck it up, or the model of the jet is a render that has been layered ontop of the original footage (which should be high quality given it is a DJI drone with 4k capabilities).
turbulence aside, the image is way to sharp and has next to no motion blur. im 99.9% certain its a fake.

You'd need an extremely high-end camera with a massively high frame/refresh rate, etc & that's not what they are putting on these drones. Even then I still don't don't if it would be possible to capture that with a camera. Especially if it was really zoomed-in, I'd think that would make the artifact'ing even worse. Good eye, man. Didn't notice until went back and re-watched. Looks fake as hell, lol

Greece is under constant threat by Turkey. In fact, the Greek area of the Aegean islands is constantly being challenged by the Turkish air force, which violates Greek airspace almost on a daily basis.
Turkey is more important ally, and a fall out with turkey means NATO loses badly in any Europe wife conflict, it was Turkish drones which saved Ukraine’s ass in the early days.
Add to this 2 nato countries are occupying Iraq and Syria with the purpose of destabilising them and nothing else.
And they both are NATO members. When Turkey attacks, Greece has no guarantee that anyone would come to their aid.
Once Nato collapses, this can easily turn into a new conflict

@willyOAM Willy, Poland and Lithuanian repatriating Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war violates the principle of non-refoulement, which is enshrined in various international legal instruments, including the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees and its 1967 Protocol, as well as customary international law. NATO is showing yet again that it doesn’t care about international law when it is them violating it.

Why don't you talk about the Jewish occupation government in Ukraine and the international Jews in the US administration who are fighting to the last white Ukrainian? A video of a 2014 meeting of Rabbis in New York showed one guy asking about Nazis in Ukraine. He was told not to worry as 50% of the candidates in elections are Jewish (against 0.2% of the population being Jewish before they got evacuated to Israel at the start of the war.)

@@Vahe345 I was in Ukraine in 2015. I tried to tell locals what was happening, and that their government and oligarchs were overwhelmingly Jewish. They really had no idea what was going on. The government already said they would be importing 4.5 million blacks and browns after the war. They are going to be replaced.

I obviously support Russia as you've seen on my previous comments a lot of people keep making fun of the slow progress but I believe this actually has a positive effect on Russia because what that allows them to do is every new ground taken they're able to keep it secure and have ammunition at the front making it much harder for Ukraine to make any kind of viable comeback

The Greeks wants to keep their air defense as a deterrent against Türkiye. They've had disputes and tensions for ages, and especially certain islands have been somewhat contentious.

When can we expect Russians forces reaching Berlin
Vitali Klisko (Mayor of Kiev) can send his kids to the front, for the moment they are partying in Germany.
To kill two birds with one stone they could be trained to operate the Taurus system so that the problem with sending German troops would be overcome at the same time.
Klitschko was a mega rich world heavyweight champion boxer worth hundreds of millions so his kids have always been rich and live accordingly. Klitschko lived in Germany and his kids have German citizenship, have probably lived there most of their lives so on this they probably get a pass. Who would wish to volunteer for a lost cause where death was a high probability? Can’t blame anyone for that!
