- Wild boars were destroying a widow lady's property and tearing up the grass. Trapped 10 wild hogs on the widow lady's property were euthanized. The wild hogs were caught in the Game Changer Trap Jr pig trap. The best and most affordable hog trap is Game Changer Traps ST 2X4 pig trap. It has 2 drop gate control by the Vision Cam app from a cell phone. The Pocket Drag are a plus when dealing with wild hogs and dragging them.

Finally a realistic video on the entire procedure from start to finish. Well done!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I was just thinking the same thing!
So much misunderstanding of this content. It's not hunting; it's pest control. These animals are incredibly destructive, and are dangerous to boot. Plus they multiply like crazy. This is a necessity.
Thank you for your comment!! I’m trying to get this point across and really appreciate your input!
its clean wild hog why trash all the hog not cooking its clean to eat
Öyle olsa dahi bu şekilde mi yok edilmeli?
Başka bir yolu mutlaka vardır
What do you do with the dead pigs?
If not eat ...why killing
Thanks for showing us what those wild hogs/boars are doing to those trees. That will help most people understand the entire purpose of doing this task. You set up some great traps! And is great to see your daughter putting those animals down. Great video and thanks for sharing!
Thank you
Wait what's his daughter?
this little girl shoots better than most of other guys on other videos,,,
Thank you. She has grown up around it which makes a huge difference!!
Can't you eat them seems a waste
let me have them,, I take some@@michaelmcginley7930

she is better shooter than most i've seen dispatching hogs on youtube,
The executioner did not look to happy about her assignment. But she did good.

Yeah she was tired from working the night before but refused to stay home.
Awesome video! Thanks for the description of how you deal with the complications of corrosion on the trap activation contacts!
I hate learning the hard way
Shooting hogs, and I didn't notice any cruelty to animals. This was a case of good land management. They are not mean nor cruel, they are wild pork harvesters.
Thank you sir!
@@hollyridgehomestead What yall are doing is the only sensible thing to do. Stack hogs like cord wood! Fill freezers!
They are evil people plain and simple.
Little lady is quite the shot. Good work!
Thank you
I'm glad you filmed the head knock'n.
The other guy I watch doesn't film that any more.
Hope you keep your channel though.
the Tube is dicey, I know.
Thanks
Yep
Baby girl got it done 😂 you all could of made crude dried meat for dogs. What I mean by that is not using hot water and fire for preparation. Just doing some crude cuts or impalements.
10 HOGS IN THE BULL CREEK WELL DONE THE CUSTOMER IS VERY HAPPY WITH THAT,
Thank you
That young lady is cool, calm and collected, and humanely kills these animals. Well done young lady, perfect shooting!
Thank you
If shooting them is "humane" why don't they use that method to kill prisoners on death row?
great video, great shooting, thank you.
Great job everyone!
Thank you
Also, I would scatter the lure over on the far edge of the fence rather than the middle of the trap. My reasoning is this will give you the best odds to luring the pigs in to the farthest point of the gate. If they are in the middle, I think there is a better chance for some to escapes since they are closer to the gate entrance. If its all the way in the opposite side of the trap, I think this will buy you some potential split seconds as the gates are falling.
I actual do that on most of them. Because we had already dropped on them once and messed them being comfortable, it took a long time for them to even get that far into the trap on the second chance.
Thanks for watching

Be interesting if the big ones came back or went in. If not competent shooting will be needed to prevent them training other pigs about the perils of traps. And such shooting needs be better than the vast majority that miss some (usually most). @@hollyridgehomestead

Pig Brig® traps are simpler, safer, more reliable, and less expensive. They don't need remote monitoring or triggering. A Pig Brig® is a passive trap that lets pigs enter any place all of the way around it, and then won't let them leave. You can trap a sixty pig sounder without any of them knowing they're trapped until you show up the next morning. And when you fold it up, it will fit on the back of an ATV.
Thanks for your input. I'm sold on cellular traps to remove whole sounders. I have used many different types of traps in the past and almost bought a Pig Brig until i started watching videos and reading some reviews.
Thanks for Watching.
Not something you see on TH-cam every day but it is interesting. Randomly saw something a few years back from another company that made these traps and I was surprised just how much is involved. I'm sure they're not inexpensive but they seem to work and glad you got them here. I thought folks ate these things, so I was interested in how you disposed of them. Good video guys
The only time I have trouble finding families to process them is during the hot part of the summer. When it’s cooler they all go to be processed for the most part.
Thanks for watching
How do you dispose of them when they can't be processed for human consumption? Cremation? Burial? Something else?
@@taragriffin449 feed them to nature if we have to. No that it’s getting cooler, people will take them for processing!

They destroy everything in their path! Turning grass into a mud pit & when it rains it’s a mess. Job Well Done!
Great job. Same problem we have to do that way . In my country we suffer alot of wild pigs and monkeys they destroy all farms . I like the way how you used to solve the problem .good luck
Thank you. Are you allowed to manage the hogs and monkeys? Or are they protected and will get into trouble?
Thanks for you guys. Unfortunately the government does not allowed killings wild pigs and monkeys. The problem growing faster thousands of wild pigs and monkeys attacked my farms. Actually the farmer losing money every single year . Hopefully we find solutions. Right now your interested vedio on many channels South Sudan and and north Africa .my sister as editor on national TV she is using your vedio how we fight wild pigs and monkeys . Off course you need to brig permission from government. Once again thanks so much. You helped many families and farmers they using your ideas for fighting wild pigs and monkeys. Wishing you all the best and your family too
@@fathiabdelrhman9856 I would love to read her article or video that she does on this problem in your country. Please let me know when and how I can read it or watch the video your sister posted. Good luck!
Yes off course. Tomorrow I will send you details about the programme and you can watch it live. Millions following her programme every Friday night . What interested things some of farmers all ready start working on your great idea. Thanks again
@@fathiabdelrhman9856 I’m wondering if you can purchase these traps from America and use them there? But after you catch them what do you do with them.
Was that .22 magnum or .22lr caliber? Thanks for sharing this video, very informative.
.22 lr
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your generosity. It truly means a lot to us!!!!
GOOD JOB!
Thank You
You should spray those connectors down with some contact cleaner spray every time you set up the trap.
I'm definitely will be checking them and testing more often. It is on my shopping list for contact cleaner.
Plus corrosion preventer, some sort of grease or coating@@hollyridgehomestead
Very cool. Good work.
Thank you
Great job
Thank you. That was a tough bunch.
I think I would wire a 2x6 piece of clear plexiglass over the the wire mess just so you can't get your fingers cut off by mistake.
That's not a bad idea.
Wow, looks like feast. Can these animals not be eaten perhaps?
Inquiries have returned a thick skin and difficult to butcher after… however, given their diet, still very good to the taste with proper and patient preparation.
Need to put some dielectric grease in the connectors to help control the corrosion
That girl is good. Better than some older men I've seen...
Need more video like that
I have over 30 trapping videos on the channel.
@@hollyridgehomestead yes thanks. I watched all. But you need understand why only this video views go over 1M. Because only this video show your daughter dispatch hogs more by herself. Me and all are need like this videos.
How strange that they do not eat their meat, it has always been highly appreciated, and they were new, young pigs, and in very good condition, they were surely totally healthy!
She has a damn good aim
Thank you
She’s an evil person. It takes a coward to kill trapped animals.
wow , that little lady is so deadly shooter , she killed all HOGs - now what they gonna do with these dead pigs ??
when hogs get trapped, they run aroung looked funny
What do you mean too hot to process? Like temperature hot?
Yes, if they’re not gutted and cooled immediately the meat (pork) spoils very quickly. Bad pork can be deadly. It can be a problem with wild game too. Most hunting seasons are when it’s cooler though.
I've had pork food poisoning. I'd rather have pneumonia (I've had that too so I'm confident in my decision.)
Hello sir
hard work and good results .
do you use cal 22lr ?
greetings
Yes I do!
This house reminds of maggies farm house in the walking dead
Wow, they are going to dump them in a pit. First time i've heard that.
We usually give them to families for processing. This time of year, being extremely hot, it's not practical or safe.
Looks like she's using a Ruger 10/22 with a 30 round mag. I'm surprised that 22 rounds are used, and are that powerful to take down those hogs. Great video, i'm betting hungry for a BLT. Would be nice to see all that good meat go to better use, despite the time and effort when you do this for a living.
.22 does a good job when you hit the right spot. Thanks for watching.
She is stone cold killer man. I am impressed. Killed a lot hogs when I was a kid. We always used a Ruger 10/22. They were locked up in a kill lane on the farm. Had a boar once take a full 10 round mag to the head. Did not kill him or even hurt him much. My dad shot him with a 12 gauge slug. That put him down. Toughest damn hog I ever saw. Hog day was always fun on the farm. We would kill and process 5 or 6 big ones. Grind up the sausage and salt and hand the ham. Fresh pork for a week. We did the cattle the next weekend every year.
Great shots.
Thank you
Aren't they bacon? Why were they just buried? Sorry, city guy asking.
No problem where your from. You still should ask when you don’t know.
So the wild feral pigs around here do not get fat enough to provide if any bacon when processed. Now the temperatures down here are in the 100’s and the meat will spoil extremely fast. During the cooler times of the year you have time to process the animals for food. Which we give a lot away to families for that purpose.
So to get rid the animals you basically are left with 2 options. Leave them in the woods or bury them.
Thank you for watching and hope I answered your questions.
Boa caçada sogrão 👏💥😁
Thank you
Я считаю добыть кабона на охоте это труд и озарт радость . А растрелять 10 шт просто у них не шанса они проста убицы !!!
Они просто санитары , лол
Bravo 👌👏 super 🥰 bravooo top 🔝
Thank you
14:28 Bardzo ładna i bardzo skuteczna. Super dziewczyna.
Holly, you can replace your heavy drop gate (2:08 4:24 7:16 etc) with a Pig Brig style net. The pigs will get in and there is no need for you to monitor the gate late at night.
This way you get to keep the cattle panel trap that you already have. A win-win for you🤨
Great job !!!! Save me a pork chop 😊

Been there done that. It will make you so bad. You check everything before you leave but your plugs. We got to check all of our again and hit with dielectric grease. I keep it and vinegar in my toolbox now. It makes for a good video.
I seen that on one of your videos back some time. Gonna have to clean mine more often!
I have the same trap with old cam and have had this happen before. Not fun trying to convince them to come back in after they’ve been scared off like that. Older pigs usually don’t come back in but the younger ones will. 9/10 the reason one of my doors didn’t drop is from the latch. I started putting a wrap around the top of the latch to make an umbrella to keep the rain from getting down in it. I almost never leave the trap on the trailer out in the weather either without putting a tarp or something over it to shield the rain from getting down in the latch that way as well. And as you noted in the video always do a test drop before. Less heartache to find out an issue then than when pigs are in it. Good video and glad you caught em!
I hope to build some sort of shop soon for my equipment to keep things out of the weather. Most of the time the traps are out working. But we do have some down time when they are moving because of the abundance of food.
Thanks for watching!
You too need a Pig Brig style net door 😃
@@markspc1 I’m not impressed with the Pig Brig and I have seen to many pigs get out of them. Way to much labor to set it up and will not last like steel. They have there place, but it’s not for what I do helping landowners remove whole sounders.
Thanks for watching
Interesting. How do they escape the pig brig?
If corrosion is the problem, there must be anti-corrosion products to help solve that. If testing gates etc a step ladder type prop the correct height will enable testing the gate trigger without a full executioner type drop, which might be convenient. A block & tackle pulley arrangement would also be possible for ease of raising the gate if an issue. @@hollyridgehomestead
@@johnmead8437 they jump out and the net get holes in them from the boars. My boss has one and just from the stories I choose not to go with that type of design.
Just curious if the current overall effort against feral pigs is holding the number or decreasing the population? It has to be making a difference.
I think it’s making a difference locally only to the properties I have been working for the past couple of years. But we need more trappers to be really effective!!

A little 90 weight gear oil on the slides will help it slide easier and the hogs like the smell too.
