    Thanks so much for this one. Here at home we've been resorting to your TH-cam jams even more than usual.

    What a great idea to release such videos! Would be curious to know more about how you're using the Assimil8or. I love Rossum modules but can't refrain from thinking about this one as a sampler somehow...
    Also, took me a while to realize the mute module was a Muta Jovis, but upside down XD
    Looking forward for the next one!!

    Thanks for the video, cool to see you're workflow. I'm also making music with eurorack and i was wondering how you're workflow is from making a patch to recording it to a track.
    I often get stuck when I come up with a modular loop. Do you record the loop into an audio file or do you arrange the track first and then record it?

    • @SebastienLeger
      @SebastienLeger  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I mostly record long jams in audio, then i have enough material to work around to build a track in Ableton.
      I also record the stems separately whenever I can.

    So nice! Merci de partager ;-) Quick question: what type(s) of oscillator do you have running on the Assimil8or ? Thanks!

    • @SebastienLeger
      @SebastienLeger  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These are one cycle wave form looped, which make it an oscillator. So you can use the assimil8or as an 8 VCO if you want. I used it as a 16 VCO for my live show at the pyramids. You can put any type of wav form, I have around 4000 different one, so basically I have 4000 VCO if I want to 😅

    Amazing !!!!! Little quesiton I"m really considering a sinfonion and i saw you adopted those babies ;) So let's say we put a sinfonion instead of the micro scales will it makes useless other modules in thist patch ? in other word what will be the change in this patch if we use the sinfonion to obtain the same approach ? Thanks

    • @SebastienLeger
      @SebastienLeger  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sinfonion is a complete different beast. It is way more powerful that this 2 modules combined and give you way form flexibility especially when you want to change chords, melodies on the fly or programed without strugglng. Now that said, I'll never ever sell my 2 uScale as they do some sort of harmonizing and tricky thing that i could not replicated with a Sinfonion.

    • @Sam-yb9eb
      @Sam-yb9eb 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SebastienLeger Wow Thanks for your response ! :) glad that my message in a bottle to the sea reached your shore ;) I can understand the uScales look like they have something incredible about harmonising and musicality lots of people report that. Also tricky to find them as it's discontinued replaced by the module "Scales" I guess it does everything uScale does ?! I'm facing a very hard dilemma now 2x Scale or a Sinfonion. By the way you are probably the most inspiring person ou there and that generosity to share your knowledge make it even more inspiring. Merciiiiiii !

    Hi Sebastien, i dont see any vca`s there, you not using any on this video right ? Another question im thinking to get the Zularic Repetitor have you ever tried ? thanks for the video, best!

    • @SebastienLeger
      @SebastienLeger  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I barely use VCA's (that could be strange for modular purist) I have both Zularic and Numeric, both are great, but my favorite is the Numeric, I got better results with it, and strangley i find it more funky than the Zularic !

    Thank you for sharing this, I was wondering what's the name of the touch bar you use to play melodies on many of your videos like this one th-cam.com/video/z4-pLyCRw_w/w-d-xo.html Would be amazing to have a little tutorial with less modules using that magic touch bar in the future if possible, have a nice day!
