    after watching this tutorial you can see this video where I played around with chord progressions and some other sequences: th-cam.com/video/b3NcUq_LRIk/w-d-xo.html

    Many years ago I used two sequencers of different clock, quantizer and an adder for this. It is easier these days. With Five12 Vector, it runs two control sequences per track and this becomes very easy.

      I know what you mean, I also started with a Doepfer Clock Divider and I must say I still find it a great tool for experimental parts

    I do this with chord mode on plaits, and 2 sequencers, one for the base note and one for the type of chord. You could also do this with qu-bit chords or music thing modular chord organ. Pressure points works nice for this, so do division6 dual mini sequencer. A tune I do this approach is on my channel and is called Across the Milky Way pt. 1. Its cool to see someone do this with actually several oscilators.

    Very nice tutorial.
    I think you would really like Notes mode on the Intellijel Tete/Tetrapad combo. You can define whatever note and chord type you want on each of the 16 pads and live loop or sequence them. This allows for more complex harmony than just being diatonic to a single scale. But you can also pick chords via scale too. You can also use cv to control chord inversion, rotation and octave.

    • @MaikSchott
      @MaikSchott  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks a lot - I saw the video of the tetra. Looks interesting. In fact, if you want to leave the diatonic world, you have to find another way unless one loves it complicated

    Great stuff in a absolutely underrated channel. well, using a Sinfonion makes the chordal life for a hobby modular user like myself with none musical knowledge easy. nice tutorial on Eloquencer. Do you sidechain your chords on this ? they sound very much Ducked . well done man, you should post your videos on Colin's dischord channel! lg aus München

      @@MaikSchott Aaah, ich habe es gefunden, unter "Track Routing
      "
      In the default configuration, each track controls one of the CV/gate output pairs of the sequencer to control a single voice. However, this configuration can be changed to allow for more flexible routing of the virtual track outputs to the physical CV/gate outputs. For example, a MIDI/CV track can control more than one physical CV/gate output to allow polyphonic operation or output a velocity signal in addition to the pitch signal.
      Cool! Gleich mal testen :)

    Man that was absolutely brilliant. Will try that with my Eloquencer ASAP. very well explained! Thanks for sharing ! I’m currently looking waiting for my 4MS SWN (6 oscillator module ) with a 1v/oct input each so that would be perfect for this way to make chords right? Thanks for any comment in advance

    Thank you for this tutorial. Tuning question... i was curious why you decided to tune the oscillators to C1 before connecting them to the eloquencer, which is set to C0? Is this a common way to do it? My thoughts would have been to first connect to eloq, and then tune osc. to C0 while eloq is sending C0 to the oscillators so that they are both in sync at the same octave. Perhaps I am thinking wrongly? Thank you in advance

    • @MaikSchott
      @MaikSchott  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The reason is, I tried to archieve a time saving method to be able to jump right into a session with the modular system. I choose C1 because I noticed that my tuner is more akurate on higher pitches.
      But you are right, it would be more structurous to have both on the same note which gives you even more control.
      I always try to avoid longer preparations and so came to this approach that works fine for me. Might look a bit chaotic on the other side :)

      @@MaikSchott Thank you for your reply. Greatly appreciated. I'm new to all of this... just making sure I have the basics straight. Those NE tuners look useful.

    • @MaikSchott
      @MaikSchott  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      These tuners are such a great tool - I found this the best for me as it has 3 Inputs so you can tune 3 VCOs at the same time without unpatching. You can even control them while you work.

    Thank you! this worked great, but how did you get to the second page of stepped mode? I can only divide to /4 on my eloquencer. What firmware version are you using?

    • @MaikSchott
      @MaikSchott  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think I had 1.38 and updated to the beta that Eloy uploaded last year. But the 16th div should work with the 1.38 as well. It's a bit tricky sometimes with the 2nd page. It is a mix between going into step mode, selecting a track and then pressing the knob again and dialing as I remember

      @@MaikSchott the second page of step mode not present and the cv in ->add in the options page, doesn't work (modifier not available, it says). I'm running on firmware version 1.3.8

    • @MaikSchott
      @MaikSchott  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am quite shure I was already running on 1.38 in that video. The second page in step mode is a bit Tricky as you have to press 2 times to go into that 2nd screen.

    • @MaikSchott
      @MaikSchott  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The "modifier" message is strange. Did you select a track for that modulation? You can also write Eloi from WM a message. He is quick in responding.
      But I remember that I first had issues too with the CV in. After the update to 1.38 I think it worked fine.
