Nathan! Thank you very much for your useful advices and tutorial! They're really helpful and useful! At the moment I'm doing instructor course in Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 and today we will do backward switch skiing lesson. Excited
Wow, that's the most straight forward explanation of skiing backward I've ever seen. Many thanks & hope more such esoteric tutorials are in the offing. One on the stivot turn would be appreciated.
This is hands down the most comprehensive tutorial I’ve seen for skiing switch. Been practicing this since last year without a ton of luck but I will keep trying I am very close to parallel gaining speed is scary though
@@nathantaugwalder5638thank you for the great tutorial..So how do I distribute my weight and pressure to my uphill/download skis once it starts to turn after switching?this part has baffled me for a while now😢..or is it similar to normal skiing by putting most of my weight/foot pressure to the downhill skis once it starts to turn?(the side which my head/shoulder/hip rotate to) I really appreciate if you would share your insights 🙏🙏🙏🤟cheers
Thanks for sending me to this video from the shorts :) Well explained. I just realized I already can do most of this, I can ski backwards with no problem, I can turn and brake while skiing backwards, I can even pirouette down a slope, spinning and spinning until I get dizzy. So I have the basics down, just need to tie it all together and put up proper form of carving.
Hey man thank you for that. We cant wait for the ski carving switch video! and maybe what to teach next is explanation of the swiss 5 short turns variations or ollie nollie and these tricks. thanks!
Hello. I am an intermediate skier. Your tutorial is very illustrative! I just have one doubt. I became interested in how to control reverse skiing from going (unintentionally) backwards on a steep slope and ending up with a knee sprain due to violent knee rotation. My question is: can you switch skiing backwards on steep slopes, or is it only to be done on green or blue runs?
Could you do a tutorial on how to improve in carving. Please great videos by the way you are the boss👍
Hey Marko, thank you very much! I‘ll bring out a video on carving soon!
Lets gooo🔥
