To be honest Rick Joyner unless you have suffered from anxiety do NOT say it's PRIDE because believe me I am not proud especially about the anxiety and from time to time depression. The only thing I am proud of and that is my 100% LOVE for our Lord and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST! I have suffered for near all my life. I totally hates the anxiety brother and dislike attention on myself. In your trials and or in your worst pain in this life, WORSHIP the Father and THANK Him. It TOUCHES the Fathers heart. Don’t waste your trial. Don’t lose the opportunity. The joy of the Lord is your strength.
Sister I don’t believe he is saying that it is a conscious choice. For example being extremely shy can be associated with pride as self consciousness. We are all upside down in our humanity and it is because of intrinsic sin. Our fallen nature is the root of all of our problems. When I feel I have to worry about something it can be because I feel compelled to control the outcome or my confidence in God is not sufficient enough for me to rest and wait on Him.
