I've pounded Arctic cat wheelers harder than anyone around here. I am aware how rediculous the claim is, but anyone who rode with me or have come across in the mountains can attest. My 05 A.C 500 manual was modified abit I guess one could say, but even with the engine modded up and tuned perfectly she didn't have the raw power to snap the driveline if I was doing my job correctly and intelligently. Blew the doors off of anyone racing through the woods, all the Yamaha all the can ams yes the 800 too, popolarz. Snapped the bevel gear twice worst was racing a can am 800 down the pipeline a month after severe summer rains. Rains washed out a massive gully on a hairpin turn while the descent was very steep. Seen the 10' drop only 80' or so out locked up the brakes but skidded so I just shifted down to 3rd gear and hammered the throttle. Scared the shit outta me just about literally honestly. As it turned out that last blip of the throttle was JUST enough to keep front end from dropping to far and flipping ass over the top, land with all that weight (872 pounds wheeler trail dressed with 3/4 tank not including me) on the front end was the only time I ever legit bottomed my Arctic cat out. She slammed so hard it ripped a few teeth off the bevel gear.
Then in 2009 I picked up the thundercat 1000 with a brand new set of camoplast tatou tracks. Yeah she was expensive but so isn't a good woman right? Aswell as my Deere and my truck so fck it.
Anyways the 1000 as we remember was THE game changer. More power than anyone could ever USE, but as an all American Man too much is never enough and power is always needed. I only shimmed the shives of the 1000 1/10,000 if I remember correctly. Has the effect of gear reduction (how many idiots on the trail I told this too thought I was full of shit and couldn't comprehend wtf I meant.....now it's widely known lol)
Anyways I still run my 1000. I do not race as I did when I was a young buck. I kept up to my friend Mark on his Honda 500 2stroke dirt bike racing across a mountain top-spine, he shit when he turned off trail after half HR to sit and wait for me as since he raced legit, and I was on a huge utility ATV no way I could keep up as not even fellow racers on dirt bikes could ever keep up to him.
This ain't no I'm the best, little bitch rant, this is a rant of just how limitless-capable-top performing-unstopabble-and insanely fast the REAL ALL AMERICAN ARCTIC CAT ATVS WHERE.
REST IN PEACE ARCTIC CAT 2004(650 H2) - 2015....you earned your spot as the best ATV ever made for their time. Most clearance, suspension, raw power and fastest machines as the terrain grew worse. I was able to race over 50mph through broken mountain trails no fckn race course, gncc was a pathetic city boy race compared to the trails here. Over 24" wide trees down I rip over no issue full speed, dryed river beds all massive boulders strewn with small ones never slowed down....sure as fuck wish I had power steering back then honestly lol. Again nevermind myself, I only "drove the machine" yeah I had balls of steel at the time, and raced me entire life growing up behind a local power sports dealers, or I was tarded enough since the house I grew up in had lead paint, but the point is my (besides the engine and snorkel for mudholes) was all stock. And hundreds of fckrs around here can honestly attest I not only beat, I BLEW THE FCKNG DOORS off any other machine, even heavily modded king quads and outty 800's who I couldn't touch in the beginning holeshots as they were almost as fast as my 1000 is lol. But very quickly I wasn't limited at all by 98% of any terrain so I reeled them in, they were limited by deep mud, rock hill climbs, big ledge drops/climbs, big/small downed trees, and rock beds.
Was so dominant with my "little" 500 atleast 6 guys I know sold their machines to buy an Arctic Cat. PLT our local dealers head salesman lived me, and he isn't the type of guy who lies or is pushy.
What the Arctic Cat team did in 4*4 GNCC in 2007 untill discontinued was awesome they were by far the Best. But I can tell you without any exaggerating or lie in anyway at any extent, I know aswell as everyone around here, that the real Arctic cat's were far faster than they were even with that factory supported team. Jesse West was a dam good rider, but according to legit everyone I was easily able to push the machines far faster through far worse terrain.
Can you imagine what would've been possible if Arctic Cat was able to place myself atleast, but legitimately the best and fastest riders in the country??? Fck man I was say 16-17 yrs old and actual sponsored racers-teams wanted me, can you imagine how many other guys out there lucky enough to get sponsored and paid? Therefore being even faster?? Their record would easily be unbroken and unbeatable besides a fckn airplane ATV wanna be thing

Oh man, that's an unlucky way of finding that cracked intake boot. Bummer! Yeah, the Duros are not good tires. Having a locker makes such a huge difference. I'm disappointed I didn't get any responses from my post on ArcticChat about TorqMasters being interested in offering a locker for the newer machines. I feel I'm not the easiest person on my machines (See my woods ride videos for proof) and I really haven't had problems with my Cats.

You must be excited about the new 600? I love the engine is designed and built in-house and the way it was done is amazing! The exhaust exiting directly from the rear of the cylinder head, the rear transaxle design, and how the whole package is set up. My only concern in the front arms looks a bit flimsy.

I just got my 2023 arctic cat 600 ltd.
One thing nobody has mentioned it goes starts freewheeling going down a steep downgrades, unless throttle is applied!! Seems very counterintuitive to needing to use the throttle and brakes to hold it back on a hill.
My 08 700 arctic cat would creep down a hill in 4x4 low.

I had a brute force 650, it’s the same engine. Love the throttle response of that Kawasaki vtwin. Only downside was it really gobbled fuel, could barely get 60 miles out of a tank. I have a Suzuki king quad 750 now and can easily get 100 miles out of the same size tank. The king quad has been a great machine, just passed 7000 miles and only routine maintenance, still original belt even.
