I have wavy hair and love Curlsmith products. They have a hair quiz on their website that helps decide what to get and you can mix and match to get the balance of moisture and protein. Really good stuff. I love your hair wavy. The more you wear it wavy the better your curl pattern will develop.
Whoever said not to brush your hair before diffusing is crazy 😂 brushing (with the right brush) can really help define the curls 🌀 loving the curly hair journey ❤
I’ve always felt this being half Guatemalan 😅 even my own dad I would tell him you don’t understand you’re a guy, dad YOU only need a dime sized amount 😂❤
I recommend checking out manes by Mell she's has tons of good videos for curly and wavy hairs. And she'd definitely tell ya to brush through your hair in sections to help define waves and curls
Yes absolutely brush your hair through when you have product in it. It helps get all the hair coated as well as forming curl clumps. A Denmen brush or a tangle teaser is great for styling in sections whilst wet and really helps to define your wave/curl pattern.
I just cut off a lot of damaged, bleached hair and loving having more of my wave pattern back! Looking forward to trying more wavy hair products soon 💖
Love these curl exploration videos! As someone with 2a-2b hair I have to say strong gel helps my waves have hold and not fall. I use a quarter sized amount (or more lol) of the LA looks sport gel, apply after curl cream and leave in conditioner, then "scrunch out the crunch" after my hair is dry. Highly recommend trying something similar :) ❤
The hair looks super cute!!! You should try a curl cream with a little bit of a stronger gel (not too strong) so that your hair lasts longer in its curly state. The products might feel heavy on your hair while it’s wet, but when you defuse they will help set the hair and it will still be loose and fluffy with the right product. I know DivaCurl hit some controversy recently, but if that’s settled their line of products might work well for your wavy pattern.
Would love to see you try the Curlsmith protein cream and the results that would give you. Your pretty waves need some protein in their lives after coloring and bleaching! I love using it together with olaplex 6 and the styling soufflé 🖤
I decided to order these on the day you posted this video I just received my ordered today and had to use them I couldn't wait till wash day I bought the strength repair line and the scalp recipe and OMG my scalp has never been so clean arefreshingesh!! I've been trying to wear my natural waves more often these couple of days since I'm too lazy to use a straighter these products really gave my natural waves a boost up not to mention the smell Is also amazing!! I love the results I'm getting just from day 1!
I love watching your curly routines you have my exact hair type and it’s so nice to get a honest review now I’m really excited to try this product line
Love the color. I’ll second the quiz at Curlsmith’s website, it’s really helpful. Gotta ask though, what eyeshadows did you use in this? The purples are incredible.
Love seeing your sweet face more these days! Just can't get enough of ya! Great job on uploading more and the content is great! Thanks Aislinn for always brightening my day when I see your videos😉
Try the hair makeup gel - the red or rose gold would look amazing . I love it for changing up or enhancing a colour but it temporary - great for those of us that just keep changing our look.
I love curlsmith! Their protien line is my favorite! You should really try brush styling. I use the brush I use for detangling while my hair is really wet after I add my leave in. If you love the idea of a cowash as I am has a really good one!
hey Aislinn! i would love to see you do a compering video when you use every day hair products but you diffuse your hair. so we can see how much the product really matter. what do you think?
Love it girl!! I agree with you, i have a looser wave to my hair and day 2 hair a lot of times just looks like a big 'ol mess! I like using Paul Mitchell sculpting foam to get that volume wiith the diffuser, then I go in with Catwalk Curls Rock amplifier curling cream, from Tigi. I typically gently scrunch this into the hair and diffuse it again for more defined curls! This can make your hair a bit crunchy if you use too much, but I find the combo of the foam for volume and then the curling cream for better definition really makes a great result!
I prefer to use a wide toothed comb, to comb products through my curly hair before defusing. I really like to use the Curl Smith colored gels, as well!!😊😊❤️💗
Did you see on the curlsmith website that they do shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair ? I so want to try it as I've always got semi permanent colours in my hair. Also saying you shouldn't comb your hair through before you diffuse , is like saying don't put conditioner on your hair if it's curly 🤷🏻♀️. It will become very tangled and will create knots , and it's best to brush through all the products ❤️. Yes comb hair through and the brush is fine any brush that's designed for wet hair can be used. I use a tangle teaser brush. But don't listen to the critics honey , it's your hair , which is fab must I say , you do you girl !! Love the new colour xxx
Love watching your videos I always feel like I learn something new I was wondering have you tried Pravana Vivids Mood Heat Activated Hair Color Kit I would like to know what you think before I try it
I have a very similar wave to yours, and I find if I put the products in my wet hair, then plop in a t-shirt or microfiber cloth for a few minutes before diffusing (or air drying) my waves don't get as weighted down
I've always opted for a cleansing conditioner when having vibrant hair and not wanting it to fade (while also using cool water). glad to know my theory isn't just a theory!!!
I have very similar hair to you except my curls are a little tighter I have no idea how to bring them back. My hair when wet is wavy and after air drying its either a mix of my curls or waves or straight. My mom used to straighten my hair as a kid and I want to bring them back! No idea where to start tho I'm on a bringing back my natural hair journey
I haven't diffused in years but I always just did the whole thing upside down because my hair is suuuuper fine and it made the volume last much longer 😉
Okay, I know this is going to sound weird but I work retail so I touch a lot of products and if you pick up the jam styling gel in the ethnic hair section and bang it against your hand it feels so weird vibrating. I can't think of how to explain it better but your reaction to the souffle reminded me lol
with any jelly or gel products, you should use more product than normal! especially if it’s on soaking wet hair because the water dilutes it. your hair also absorbs the product better if you put it on right after the shower on really wet hair.
hey, I have a question when I was little I had a really nice curl to my hair. It was not a wave but it was not super curly either but when I was 6 my mother put a hair straightener in it and lost all of the curls. now many years later it is starting to show a very small sign of a wave is there anything I can do to bring back more of my curl.
India Batson has wavy hair and has a lot of tips for your struggles. I do recommend her channel if you are looking to go through a wavy journey. You look beautiful btw
I have about 2c waves and that souffle gel is one of my faveeees but I get the bigger one in a squeeze bottle cause I don't wanna scoop it out of the jar lmao. I also love their protein cream
I have “slightly” wavy hair but only in the back, underneath the top layers. I have tried a few products to “enhance” my waves but nothing seems to work for me since only some of my hair is wavy. Thanks for the product review.
The purple line is the repairing line and the Curl Smith Bond Curl Repair Salve actually contains Hydroxypropylgluconamide and Hydroxypropylammonium Gluconate which are bond builders and are actually the same ones used in XMondo and the Bondbar products
I recommand you to watch mane's by Mel vidéos to learn more on curly hair products, how to difuse and everything curly hair. It really help me on my journey! Love that you're starting to style you're natural hair!
I got a shag a year ago and have kept it. Its easier for me to leave it natural with more layers. But im the same. I don't feel like defusing mine most times. I just fix it. Then when it dries I wet it a bit and scrunch it up more again. Then redo everyday till I wash. Its shorter now. I wanted a pixie. Regret it. I do love my shag better when its long. So growing it out again
I LOVE CurlSmith. With your CoWash you should use a conditioner or a drop conditioner after. It doesn’t do the job of both shampoo and conditioner. Also try using a denman brush when putting styling products in! Instead of a wet brush
So i live in the same wavy pattern world lol except my hair sits somewhere between 2b and 2c and i think yours sits somewhere between 2a and 2b. Something i learnt experimenting is that the more water there is in your hair the more loose the wave pattern will be once it dries (and i don't defuse, i air dry my hair), so depending on what hairstyle i am aiming for i will style my hair while soaking wet if i want a result closer to 2b or style it while damp if i want the result to be closer to 2c. Also working in sections will always make my hair closer to the 2c side.
I have wavy hair and love Curlsmith products. They have a hair quiz on their website that helps decide what to get and you can mix and match to get the balance of moisture and protein. Really good stuff. I love your hair wavy. The more you wear it wavy the better your curl pattern will develop.
I'm enjoying this natural curl evolution! 💕🔥
Whoever said not to brush your hair before diffusing is crazy 😂 brushing (with the right brush) can really help define the curls 🌀 loving the curly hair journey ❤
It also smoothes out the frizz. I could never just diffuse straight from out of a hair towel, hell nah lol
I definitely need to comb thru my hair. I usually use my fingers and a wide tooth comb tho
As someone with hair to their butt, I love hearing "put dime size of product in palm, that's all you need, etc."... I need about 10 times that haha
Same with me.
I believe it says per section...so you decide how big the section is
I’ve always felt this being half Guatemalan 😅 even my own dad I would tell him you don’t understand you’re a guy, dad YOU only need a dime sized amount 😂❤
I need a second job to pay for my conditioner habit!
The purple eyeshadow lewk with the hair color is perfect for Valentine's day. Loved how defined these products made your hair!
I recommend checking out manes by Mell she's has tons of good videos for curly and wavy hairs. And she'd definitely tell ya to brush through your hair in sections to help define waves and curls
Oooh!! It would be cool to see aislinn to a video trying manes by mell's "Prep style and finish" routine!
Love manes by mell but she's not the best at wavy hair in my opinion. It always looks quite messy, unless that is the look you are going for 🤷♀️
There’s also India Batson for more wavy hair types

Wow your natural curls are insane I never would've known!!!
Thank you for this series! You have a similar wave pattern to me and I have never known what the best way to take care of it. This is SO helpful!!!
Aislinn loving this new hair journey! Hope all is well everywhere else too!
That squish!!! ... squish, to condish! It's pumping moisture in a little more xx
I love the fact that you're embracing your natural waves, was waiting a long time for that type of videos from you.
Waves look great! Thanks for showing us how you do the diffuser. & This color combo is sooo cute! Even the fade out looks great. 🖤
This is such a great series! Thank you 🙏 🎉 btw your eyes are POPPING with your makeup & hair colors - like a beautiful earthy green 🤩
Your hair looks so cute, ya need to wear it that way more often. Thx for showing the product..🌸💕🌸
You should look up some videos on how to train your curls you could probably get some really nice tighter curls just be a bit time consuming
Omg Aislinn you are absolutely the sweetest gifting the products to your friend after. I just love you & your channel 💯❤️🔥
Thank you so much 🖤🖤
Your hair color looks so good and with these curls it’s even better 🤩
i love the pink curls so much
Omg you look soo gorgeous!! 😍 especially with that color, aghhhh just beautiful!

Now I need to go buy a diffuser. I swear everything you use I end up buying. Absolutely love the diffused style!

Aislinn, I love how you whipped up a background for filming in your apartment. It looks really cute. How is the house hunt going?
the ASMR moment was hilarious 🤣👍
Have you found a good system for your waves when you just air dry?
Love it girl!! I agree with you, i have a looser wave to my hair and day 2 hair a lot of times just looks like a big 'ol mess! I like using Paul Mitchell sculpting foam to get that volume wiith the diffuser, then I go in with Catwalk Curls Rock amplifier curling cream, from Tigi. I laughed so hard with the flubber moment. It made my day. And you look amazing as usual!!!
The audio was everything lol love it

I like your hair so much more when it’s coloured. It brings your whole face alive and makes you glow :)
Love watching your videos I always feel like I learn something new
I was wondering have you tried
Pravana Vivids Mood Heat Activated Hair Color Kit I would like to know what you think before I try it
You look super cute with curly hair Aislinn sweetie ❤️ and your hair looks in such great condition right now! Love You ALWAYS ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I have a very similar wave to yours, and I find if I put the products in my wet hair, then plop in a t-shirt or microfiber cloth for a few minutes before diffusing (or air drying) my waves don't get as weighted down
Your hair is fading beautifully ⭐️❤️
Love the curls!

Your color looks refreshed after the treatment ❣️
I haven't diffused in years but I always just did the whole thing upside down because my hair is suuuuper fine and it made the volume last much longer 😉
I’ll have to try that 🥰
@@AkaAislinn Do!! The cleansing balm sounds like a dupe for Wen btw 😉
The Valentine's day hair colour is so pretty 💕 I love it 🥰
Super cute ❤ love the messy look on you ☺️

I loooove curl smith for my curly hair honestly.

You look so cute!!!! I love the way it looks so much!! ❤️❤️❤️
"it's giving flubber" is now my favourite phrase of all time 🤣
l love curlsmith and I use it for my rainbow hair.
Girl you're having way too much fun with flubber over there 😂
For diffusing the back flip your head forward and diffuse upsidedown 😊
I did that in the video 😁🖤
@@AkaAislinn I saw after I commented 😅🫣 🤣😂
Love color and curls! Guapísima!
It looks great!
India Batson has wavy hair and has a lot of tips for your struggles. I do recommend her channel if you are looking to go through a wavy journey. You look beautiful btw
This is making me want to try curly hair products, I have very wavy hair naturally.

Never would have guessed that I'd hear the words "It's giving Robin Williams!" when speaking about gel 😭
I think this is my new favorite color combo on you
They have a primer that is so good
The flubber comments and your face sent me 🤣🤣
Absalutely beautiful ❤
I recommand you to watch mane's by Mel vidéos to learn more on curly hair products, how to difuse and everything curly hair. It really help me on my journey! Love that you're starting to style you're natural hair!
I think i need an official ASMR compilation
The flubberyness 😂
This style would look so damn cute if you cut the face framing layer a little shorter. Your wave is so pretty 😍
I got a shag a year ago and have kept it. Its easier for me to leave it natural with more layers. But im the same. I don't feel like defusing mine most times. I just fix it. I LOVE CurlSmith. With your CoWash you should use a conditioner or a drop conditioner after. It doesn’t do the job of both shampoo and conditioner. Also try using a denman brush when putting styling products in! Instead of a wet brush
Oh my goodness the flub sound😂
i love the styling soufflé sooo much!!! the memory reactivator not so much tbh
My hair was healthiest when I used the Wen cleansing conditioner, but that stuff is priceeyyyy. Often on sale on like, QVC or smth tho
So i live in the same wavy pattern world lol except my hair sits somewhere between 2b and 2c and i think yours sits somewhere between 2a and 2b. Well heyy queen xxx love this and you
love the hair
i love the smell of curlsmith. every time i go down that aisle it's all i can smell lol
I have curly hair and I always brush it through 🤔
How come you don't wear your medusa anymore?
Because it’s not pierced anymore 😅
WELL, @MainesByMell would absolutely dissagree with who told you not to brush your hair before you difuse. It's all about using the correct technique.
Flip hair upside down to help defuse the back.
I did that in the video 🥰
I saw after I wrote this ❤️
You don’t have curly hair though???
did you know that Aislinn is traditionally pronounced as "Ashling"? I just learned this the other day
🖤🌈🖤🌈
