I changed my freelander2 17" wheels for evoque 18" ones, and whilst they look far nicer tbh I can't feel any difference in the drive feel which surprised me abit. They're still tall 60 sidewalls afterall.
If the drive is to the front 90% of the time - and it is on the road - then you are better with the better tires (more tread) on the front as that's where the drive is - the rears are following - which means you can power and grip out of a slide should you have one etc... IMHO..........

Your are right, the Freelander 2 HSE comes with a 235/60 R18. That's what I have, but the standard Freelander wheel and a Falken WildPeak A/T tyre.

So you dont torque the nuts up to the correct specs??
