  • Interview with 86 year old Holocaust Survivor, Dr. Avigdor Shachan, who has spent 1/2 Century journeying the world, encountering the 10 Lost Tribes. In part 2 of my series, Dr. Avigdor shares the striking similarities in culture, language, and spirituality between the Japanese Shinto people and the Israelites. Incredible story.

I think this may make more of an argument in favor of the Tower of Babel narrative. There are many languages and cultural practices around the world that have similarities with ancient Hebrew concepts. It’s most prevalent in older cultures whose language has minimal outside influences

Holy Moses, the moment the video talked about Lost Tribes I Lost it (pun intended), the premise is far fetched and it's reaching the straw, whoever came up with the idea of 10 Lost Tribes in Japan must have smoked a fine kush 420 blaze it

The evidence does seem forced/contrived and none of it is biblical which is the common identifier in all the other communities that exist elsewhere in the world, but as for ancient Israel having reached Japan, that part is probably true - if you focus on who the ancient Israelites were and how they looked, i.e. not like east Europeans.

The reason the word budda in Hebrew means come and learn my Torah
The reason for this is juadism predates Buddhism

There are so many inaccuracies in this video, it makes it look like nonsense to anyone who understand Japanese and know the history. It’s a shame because the Levi’s did in fact go to Japan, taught them how to farm and setup their government.

i am not sure how much about it is true but i did sensed starge relation to Shinto when i first learn about it because the legend of genesis and the fact that the god's face's would not shown clearly at the templs . now that i see more people find connection and by other reasons it became one of my subjects that i interested in . Jewdahism religious practice is mostly around reading if its study or praying and i feel it is missing all the dancing aesthetics smells i see in Shinto even naturalism. We see nature as something without meaning separated from god and that is the difference between us and the Greeks . but its no good even as a philosophy if god not give nature his meaning in the end. in Israel most people that respect nature are not religious .

Avigdor Shahan's problem is that he is a romantic
It is true that there is a lot of ancient connection between Japan and Israel. But let's face it, he's totally exaggerating with his theories

Nope he’s not exaggerating his story is lack actually because he forgot to mention the matsuri festival where the Japanese carry the Arch of the covenant similar symbol at parade it. And there more of it the Star of David in the temple etc.

@@madeinjapan3333 I purposely did not mention Matsuri, because it is a holiday in which the setting changes. The paintings on the trucks are only from recent years. There was already an interview with the organizer of the festival and he said that every year there is a different setting and the Exodus paintings was his idea

0:10 Acturally, Japan 日本 means the origin of the sun. 本 is a measure word for books, but it does not mean book by itself.

      日 means Sun, Day.
      本 means “Book” .

@@kingwaymaker10349 Yes, but 本 never means book by itself. Here it strictly means origin. Japan means the origin of the Sun. Hense, the land of the rising Sun because of it's eastward position in relaton to China.

    • @Niconeco-z3j
      @Niconeco-z3j หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Yes, "日本" (Nihon or Nippon) is the Japanese name for Japan. The name is composed of two kanji characters:
"日" (Ni): This character means "sun."
"本" (Hon or Pon): This character means "origin" or "root."
Together, "日本" translates to "the origin of the sun" or "the place where the sun rises." This is why Japan is often referred to as "the Land of the Rising Sun." The name reflects Japan's position to the east of the Asian continent, where the sun rises.
