I’m an RN and I had a patient tell me to travel while I can because she waited until she retired and had health problems and she had lost her husband so she couldn’t travel and she was so sad about it. I’ve never forgotten that and I travel as much as I can.
Hi kids.... been married 45 years. Truly I think an outline would do. You're living it. And doing a good job from when I could tell. Keeping God as head of your household.❤
I can’t wait to watch this episode with my husband and have our first goal setting session! I enjoy your podcasts immensely and I appreciate the work you and your team put in to make them amazing. I told my husband the other day that I want to be friends with you guys, you inspire us so much! We are about a year and a half into marriage and we have learned a lot from listening to you both. Thank you!
Love these videos! Halfway through and wanted to comment- I think sometimes the word "goal" can be intimidating, especially to those who may be afraid to "fail." So mentally i change the thought process for each 5 min increment from "what are my goals" to "this would be cool" and that makes it seem less formal and intimidating. Just an idea for anyone who wants to start but may be feeling hesitant!
Love it!! My husband and I sat down and followed this template for our 2025 visions & goals! Question- we got to the end of the meeting and felt like we had a huge to-do list. What do you do throughout the year to check in on these goals? How do you prioritize the action items after the meeting? Thanks Shawn and Andrew!
@@shawnandandrewpodsI’m glad to be here. I’ve been listening to every episode you guys post! My husband and I did our goal setting this week and I was so excited to sit down and plan out our year!
Your method is definitely doable. I think had my husband and I did this early in our marriage we could have accomplished so much more. Its a good idea. But I dont think its realistic for ppl who are low income or on fixed incomes.
This is nice but people you must remember their life is nothing like the average couples. They have nannies, assistant;s, people to arrange their time to do their chores. They don’t struggle with money like most of us do. Their list will be totally different than ours. I am from the older generation and we wouldn’t dream of making a list like this. We do the best we can with Gods help.
I LOVE this and I am SO GRATEFUL that you guys have shared this. My husband and I started this 2 years ago and we are better for it. One of the things I love is this helps build the language around the goal. I have already shared this with a few friends and am have appreciated it. Another trickle-down benefit of that is that now different friends are talking about their goals and we’re all encouraging each other to stay focused on what we want our lives to look like in Christ.
Do you check in on your goals throughout the year? My husband and I were thinking of doing a mini session each quarter to check on our goals and see how we are progressing. If they are going well, if not what is a barrier to why we aren’t progressing, etc.

What was the book Andrew referenced called something "zero"? I couldn't understand it when he shared it.

Could Andrew give us a list of the best books he’s read?
