    I’ve used these for 5+ years on my bus. Once cleaned and adjusted, they will work great.

      That’s good to know, honestly. I have my concerns with them. I hear about the IDF causing aggravation with the idle jets clogging up and things of that nature. I was glad to see this post.

    Slade, I've been running chinese clone twin 40s on my red bug for 3 years, IMHO they are awesome mate. The only thing I changed out was floats for the genuine weber items, this was due to the chinses ones sticking every now and then. Since that point they've never skipped a beat. And as a footnote, it was me that mentioned painting underneath rubber trim rails....lol... how could you forget me...
    Keep on keeping on buddy

      I could never forget you brother! I’m pulling those rails off tomorrow. Since they’re already bent into shape that’s kind of a bonus so I guess I didn’t waste my time. Some of these had no numbers on the air jets or anything. But the castings look absolutely fine to me. I just may have to buy a few things to make them right. But they were free.

    Ive been running them for over a year now. Just replaced all the internals with a radke kit. So far work fine. But i still want real webers 😂

    I am ready to tune my dual 40idf knock-offs. I've never setup a dual carb system before. This will be interesting.

    the air jets are marked. I did not see you show air's. So i'm thinking you see the jet holder, thinking those are jets. The air jet is inside of the jet stack. in the top of the F 11 tube

      I am very new to the IDFs. I just know how to break them down and clean them. And set them.
      I always ran 34 Webers, they were my favorite. I will take another look at these thank you very much.

    G'day,
    I've found that even the jetting from Weber can be hard to read. The stamping can be so faint you can't see it.
    But I find a jeweller's magnifying glass fixes this problem.
    ✌️ Peace

    • @SladesVWBeetle
      @SladesVWBeetle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you know what I did? I bought a magnifying glass while I was at Walmart. Guess what, It didn’t do anything. 🤷🏻‍♂️
      It wasn’t even magnified. Got a love Walmart.
      I’ll stop and get a better one somewhere

      @SladesVWBeetle  ปีที่แล้ว

      Is there a way for me to check them for that? 40 or 44? I’m not familiar with these IDFs. You must have seen something to make you say that.
      I always ram to 34 Wb. But I was told they would not be big enough for a 1904, which I still find hard to believe

      @vintage76vipergreenromeovintag I will do that my friend thank you very much. They could have sent me the wrong ones I’m not sure.
      Personally I wanted to run the 34 Webers. I don’t see why they’re not big enough for a 1904. But some told me their too small.

    No Decklid a breathed on engine with Rear Muscle car Mags and Oversized tires and a handful of Primer Patches on a relatively solid car?
