I choose to believe this is a sequel to the convenience store robbery skit

I didn't appreciate David Cann at the time but he is essential to the whole Jam set up, he's so brilliant, he plays the straight man so well.

Heap is magic there - that first little recognition, its all in his eyes. Loved Jam

According to the DVD credits, this sketch is called Kidnap Refusal, not Man with a Gun.

    I like the crackling

That's something we used to have in the olden days, Boomer technology. It's due to old people having one testicle of Velcro hooks, and one testicle of Velcro fabric. When the musician walks around playing his music there's a distinctive crackle the groin microphone sometimes picks up. It doesn't happen these days as in the modern era groin mics have been replaced by woodlice.

@@pickledegg1989 I mean I'd rather be shot dead in my own home than be driven to a secluded location and tortured to death. Honestly as long as they don't have other means of restraining/overpowering you this might work because the kidnapper knows they have a bigger mess on their hands if they just outright kill you at the start.

So this is pretty much the Mr Barfield sketch from Blue Jam.

they probably didn’t think the sketch would fit into the show anyways, it’s a bit more comedic than the usual

I've always though while Jam is very dark and surreal Big Train is just silly

Graham Linehan contributed as a writer to both Big Train and Jam, even to Blue Jam.
