The iPhone 14 does have some upgrades, but with the $100 decrease on the 13 (and I'm sure heavily discounted carrier deals, it's the one I'd go for!)

As someone who doesn’t necessarily need all the latest features, and is in love with the 13 Mini, I’m still going to be saving for the Mini instead of the 14. But that purple came very close to changing my mind..
I was dumb this year and had an option for a 13 for free and had a 12 mini and I do not like the regular 13 😂. The mini models are just so good the screen is .3 inches smaller than an iphone 8plus. Its crazy cause the minis are so powerful, loud, and take amazing photos. I think my 12 mini took better photos then my current 13 due to the size and how much more grip you have on the phone.
The 12 mini vs the 13 mini is an upgrade in itself more over then the 14 vs 13 models. The 13 mini models got a huge boost in cameras from the 12s, better cellular, wifi, battery, I compared my 13 to the minis of my friends and it made me have upgrade remorse to a standard 13.
The fact that you can buy 13s from gazelle for cheaper than $599 is what makes it more appealing as well.
I mean you cant beat get an extra $20 off for no reason. I bought mini 6 from gazelle and it was $240 cheaper than apple. I chose excellent condition and I received a brand new one.

Went from iPhone XR to iPhone 13, I was gonna get the 14 plus but once I got my hands on a pro max, it’s way too big so I figured I would save $100 & go with the 13.
Considering a significant rise in 14's price in Europe, it becomes tough to recommend it here over last year's model.

Guys I have used 13 pro max for a year however moving from an XS to a pro max I really feel like going back to a smaller phone either 13 mini or 14. This 13 pro max is a great phone yet too heavy and not very lets say comfortable to use as a daily and as a main phone. Ive seen this deal its for 13 mini 512gb or 14 256gb at the same price plan yet I’m more inclined towards 13 mini, the easiness to use due to size factor and small lighter phone however 14 will have slightly better battery yet almost the same size as XS which is still comfortable enough to use, any suggestions?

You didn’t mention that 14 sold in the US doesn’t have physical SIM card tray. This could be a big deal for international travelers. I personally got the 13 when the 14 was announced and enjoyed the $100 discount.
It's actually easier because you can get an esim before you arrive now

I have an iPhone 14 in purple since Black Friday 2022. I was thinking of iPhone 13 in pink since last late July. I’m glad to waited for getting it. My sister has an iPhone 14 Pro in midnight or black. It is such sharp looking in that color. I gotten in a lighter color for inside of my car is black interior. It was my 3rd upgrade in 2022. My first is my vehicle which is a 2020 Ford Escape SE in black since mid March 2022. My 2nd was getting an Apple Watch SE last April. I got the watch for this one app towards my car to start it up from instead of using my iPhone. I was using iPhone SE(2) in white for a little bit over 2 years. I still have it as backup towards the 14.

Ordered a green 13 today. My 12 battery isn't doing so great anymore so I'm doing a trade-in. I sold an old iPad I had lying around too. So the phone is costing me a net £500. The 14 doesn't have any good colours except for the Product Red.

How is the battery life in colder environment? I noticed my old iPhone's battery drains very fast outdoors when the temperature drops below 5 degree Celsius. It is so disappointing to try to take snow photos, but the phone dies.
I think those who are indie filmmakers who also want a phone for filmmaking alongside proper camera then one should go for iphone 14 or plus as it has the same camera which is there in iphone 13 pro max.

well I was coming from an iphone 8 and I was really impressed with the action mode video and all the SOS features. Infer that for me either one was going to be a great pick. The one thing that sold it for me was that real nice blue color on the 14
After watching the apple event and the release, I bought the 13. It has an amazing battery life and is worth every penny. Will probably wait for Iphone 16.
How does the battery perform outside, in colder environments? say below 5 degree Celsius.

I would’ve definitely approved the regular 14 if it had the face from pill with non-dynamic island. Why did t Apple think of that. IMO I think it would have definitely sold more units than the 13.

I was using iphone xr it is a great phone. Yesterday i purchased iPhone 13 512 gb blue colour and i am super happy and also in love. The performance and camera is next level. I didn’t go for 14 because its identical same no difference between speed and camera. I am satisfied buying iphone 13
I’m thinking about upgrading from an xs max and I’m definitely interested to see the difference between the 13 and 14’s cameras myself because based on what you showed us I prefer the quality of the photos you took on the 13😅 although that action mode is pretty sick on the 14.

I upgraded from a XS Max last week and I couldn’t be more satisfied with my iPhone 13. Surprisingly better battery performance, 3 gen faster chip and lott better camera system makes it definitely worth it for an upgrade.

I bought the 14 as I am coming from the 7plus. In my area, the difference of 13 and 14 is only 40 USD so I just chose the latest one.

The upgrade from 13 to 14 is like the X to Xs, or maybe even smaller since the Xs at least had a huge performance jump in the A12 over the X.

Definitely don’t get the 12. Battery life and cameras got a nice bump in the 13 series. Screen brightness in direct sunlight as well.

Bro in my opinion you have money go for 14. you get a lot more features.crash detection. Satellite. And camera is pretty good. Better selfie camera. Action mode. 4K cinematic mode. big camera sensors. More software support.6gb ram 13 have 4gb.13 is very good phone but you have money just go for 14.
The 12 is still decent but if you got a xr id just get the 14 if I was you it’s just a tad more future proof

Coming from the 12 pro, and right now made a trade in @apple store HTX for the reg 14 and i love it , it feels like the 12PRO but with better screen balance colors, like the way it feels in my hands, and the cameras, i will not miss the 3rd camera i never do 2X photos, i think i dont really need it, i dont do the plus or pro because it will represent to me 200 USD or more, think is not time to waste that amount in an iphone, will enjoy my 14
Just a bit more refined the ram camera tweaks and sos and crash detection seems like a decent upgrade

I just got the new 13 I would totally recommend it but if you like the colors of the 14 then I would go with that .

I got the 14 my carrier had a super steal deal for it and I’m coming from the SE 2 I would have got the 13 but I couldn’t pass that deal they had for the 14
I picked 13 few month ago and at first i kind of regret i don’t pick 13 pro since i love to try 120hz display. But after few month using it, i felt like 13 is good enough for me and i don’t need to upgrade to 14.

@ you can definitely upgrade from 7 to 14 plus,
but don’t use any phone with 120hz display because it can spoil your eyes 😂
@ If you have never used 120hz, u wont miss it :) Since your 7plus also has a 60hz display, it wont be noticeable. The 14plus will even feel faster and snappier due to the stronger processor (in comparison to the 7)

I think the extra 2GB of ram is going to be nice in every day use. Will probably keep it around longer than the 13 as well in terms of iOS updates.

What about the 14 will be outdated in 3 years? It will still be fast and snappy, the camera will still be great, it supports 5g, soooo, what will warrant an upgrade? the battery? that can be replaced for cheap a few years down the line... My mom is still using her 3rd hand XR that I gifted her for Xmas in 2020. Everything still works and with a battery replacement that XR would be buttery smooth... It's not 2016 anymore bro. iphones are now fast and powerful enough to last MUCH longer than 3 years.

I had a Samsung galaxy a70 for 4 years now it's slow and really annoying i am getting my frist iPhone it might not be a huge difference between the 13 and the 14 but 2 more cores and better cam plus the ios upgrade will stay longer so if you want something to stay with you the longest get the 14
