  • Hello Folks, this video is about building your own Karaoke system typically less than $100 or $80 rather than spending Hundreds of Dollars on an actual Karaoke system.
    All you need is a smart TV, external speakers or amplifier and a Mixer This technique involves using your Smart TV and then a Mixer, once you have the set up as shown in the video , just get on you tube or any karaoke app and start playing the karaoke song via your smart tv , the mixer will combine your Mike and TV’s audio signal and send that to your speaker/amplifer. You can now have a Karaoke set up at your house ! Hope this is helpful , have fun singing

    I'm actually looking for vids on youtube karaoke content and stumbled on this vid. Very informative, thanks bro. Though I decided to buy a karaoke system with wireless receiver and SLINT carries a Wireless Karaoke mic system with wireless receiver. It's a pretty neat setup and we enjoy the 2 mics.

    I have been looking for this all over youtube for hours. I even talked to some musician friends but nobody could tell me how to do it. I can't thank you enough. You wouldn't believe me but it is actually very hard to get information on this stuff. There are tons of videos on recording but nothing about this kind of setup.
    I can also connect an acoustic guitar and a vocal mic using this mixer, right?

    Hi, it is a very informative video and well explained. I have a Hayden 4 mixer,
    and only a smart TV but no external speakers. I want to know if it is possible to play the karaoke song on TV and connect that to the mixer (with MIC connection) and then this Output is given back to TV input? It is a sort of loop, using the TV to play the karaoke music and the use it to finally play the mixer output on the TV. Hope my question is well understood. Please comment.

    I see you don’t have anything connected to the hdmi’s. Can i still leave the hdmi connection between the tv and the receiver, while maintaining your set-up? Won’t there be any conflict with the tv giving out sound to the receiver through hdmi arc, while there’s another rca connection from the tv to the mixer, and back to the receiver?

    I have a tv setup with a sound bar together connected with optical...and a laptop Mac book playing a TH-cam karaoke connected with HDMI to the tv...bought xenyx 802 AND a mic... only thing I need if I can set my mic output to tv with a connected soundbar without amplifier? Or no choice but have to separate music from tv/sounbar AND buy a powered monitor speaker....hope you can help me on this thanks

    • @audiosquirrel4378
      @audiosquirrel4378  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Alx , apologize for the delay , no need to buy a seperate amplifier or powered monitor, you can connect your sound bar to the mixer - for that you will have to buy a Y-connector or Aux cable or what ever input is there on your soundbar , you can take the RCA output (red and white) from the mixer and connect that to the sound bar.
      Let me know if that works , good luck
      let me know the make and model of your sound bar , i can check on the connection for that

    My TV only has 4 x HDMIs and one optical cord connections.
    1 x HDMI is ARC, so both directiond and it is connected to the AV Amp for theater system (speakers) when using TV.
    The other 3 do not have sound out, only for video in, right?
    What can I use?
    I have the same mixer.
    The mixer output is connected to input channel of the AV Amp, but I need to mix the TV sound. How do I do it?

    With expensive KEF speakers, a powerful home stereo receiver, this is NOT a cheap karaoke system...I would have got a Mackie mixer. Behringer is a bit on the mediocre side. Btw you say it Zeenix...😉
    But my main concern is: you can easily overload and burn up home speakers with a mixer meant for pro audio PA speakers. Not wise.

      I have a smart TV with blue tooth feature. so I went to Fry's and got me a 2000 watt portable PA Speaker with built in blue tooth, rechargeable battery, separate controls for volume, treble, bass and echo and came with 2 wireless mics for $199. I cast TH-cam from my smartphone directly to the TV for the video. then pair the TV with the PA via blue tooth for the audio and sing using the wireless mics. Heck, i don't even need to plug in the PA because it runs on built in battery. so its %100 wireless. last 4th of July we took it to Second Beach at Forks Wa. Used my iPad and 200 people had a blast singing their hearts out that night

    Does the Behringer mixer you bought have adjustable effects? can i use a sound bar instead of a receiver?

    • @brushman20
      @brushman20 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chloe Lucas Yes u can connect to sound bar. No, this Behringer mixer does not have its own effects but u can use a separate effects unit which u cud plug into this, or u cud go with one model up from this Behringer (1002 I think). There are also other mixers on amazon that do have built in effects, but they either cost more (for a better name brand), or they’re not a well known brand name, and therefore maybe not as well built. Another option is to get this Behringer unit which is good, and then get wireless mics that have a few effects such as echo. Fifine and Sound town make these.

      Hello Amalia, glad to help out , all you need is a connector from your phone to the Karoake machine , you will need a Aux to 1/4 connector , im not sure what phone and karoke system you got but most cell phones/tablets come with a 3.5mm Jack output and the karoke is a 1/4 connector , so use smething like this for the connection
      Before buying a cable make sure to read the input/outputs on your karoke system

      hello Agustin , apologize for the delay in reply , Yes you can connect home theathers to the mixer using the right cable/connector but if the purpose is for karaoke then i wouldnt recommend using home theater speakers as it may not sound good for singing , home theaters are more for movies and HD stuff, better to go for a 2.1 or stero speakres in this case..

    If you buy PA speakers , you don't have to connect to that amplifier. I prefer you guys buy PA speakers. It's more convenience when you only need to connect that speaker to mixer and done.

    Hello, you did not explain the video part from your TV to mixer. If your TV is not smart TV then how are you going to play youtube and will sound thru your AVR.

    • @audiosquirrel4378
      @audiosquirrel4378  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Raymond , Apologize for that , the video was for smart tv only as almost everyone owns a smart tv , no problem if you dont have a smart tv , then you can use chromecast and turn your tv into a smart tv - there are lot of videos of how to use chromecasr on your existing tv
