I was waiting your video to see how this game is. Looks different to what we're used to from Pokemon. Tiring at times but ultimately looks fun and your vid made it even more enjoyable.
This game makes a clear distinction between putting all mons to research level 10 compared to maxing their research. The first is a fun challenge, the latter can become an insane grindfest
Okay so I did this myself before hand. And now I am trying to prof Oak Challenge this game with the rule that I have to get to lvl 10 dex entries for every pokemon i can before I fight the next noble. I haven't fought Kleavor as of yet while typing this and I am already 6th star. I forgot there is a lot of trade evos in the fields.
Meanwhile I’m still trying to Perfect every dex entry and I’m nowhere close at 130 hours in. Props to you for choosing to ignore that aspect of the game. And to anyone who wants to try it? Don’t.
Wow bro i appreciate you taking time out of your day to make content for your veiwers even though it took over 50+ hrs bro i really appreciate you, you always make my day when I watch you and you have inspired me to actully get the games that you play, again thank you so much for everything you do.
Yeah getting max star rank is crazy 1-9 is combined 29,000 points but then to get from 9 to 10 you need 30,000 I'm currently rank 9 because I'm "perfecting" all dex entries in obsidian fields so I have not beaten kleavor yet
I didn't even notice this in my playthrough though. I feel a lot of people would be discouraged by seeing this and hearing it from this video. But I just played through the game, and by the time I was facing God himself, I was super close to 10 star. I think I needed like less than 10,000 points? I guess that's a lot in this context but it didn't feel like it. Start 10 staring Pokedex pages, use extra evolution items and just make sure you catch as many as you can. Pick a shiny you like/want and farm the area they're in. 10 star raises your odds, as well as a prefect page. So get at it! I'm at 110 hours in the game and I'm loving it! I'm about to start a new game on another file if I get too bored of having everything complete haha
@@JaspOrr stubbornness although I've given up on that endeavour for now I've gotten beaten the game and gotten research level 10 on everything as well as made a living dex so I'm taking a break after 140 hours or something like that
85 hours isnt actually that far from my playtime with the same feats. I spent extra playtime shiny hunting if that factors into the equation at all, but it took me around 90 ish hours for this list of feats. So im happy to see on a first blind playthrough that it took you just as long as me with mine.
That rank 10 was definitely the longest grind, but I was able to finish it in 72 hours. Most fun I've had with a pokemon game sense I first played the GameCube ones
Good luck on getting a full perfect Pokédex (every task for a Pokémon complete like catching all the unknowns is a task for completing unknowns Pokédex)
Same! I still think Cynthia in BDSP is harder. I think I was like 80 hrs into PLA at that point, just from goofing around and 10-pointing Dex entries. Every Mon I used was over 80 and I had Dialga and Palkia. I think I used a Typhlosion, Gallade and Dialga for the whole 8 Mon battle Literally play the game and you win lol
If you catch the big boi static Alphas- Volo isnt too difficult. Goodra, Monferno, Machamp, Electivire, Torterra, Empoleon, Garchomp, Lucario, Blissey etc. I'm on 77 hrs now, 10 star rank at about 65hrs and about 13-14 shiny's now. Am just doing outbreaks and space-times for shiny's. I did use guides for Unknown & the wisps. Hardest pokemon for me to find were Bonsly & Magnemite. Spent a good hour on Enamorous as well until I clocked how to do it
Everything that you have said, think and/or do, I did it too! I finally met someone with the same reactions and mistakes I've done! I just discover your channel, and I really like the energy you pout on your videos! Also, thank you Luker, this video is a bliss and is very funny to watch!
I acutally just finished doing basically exactly what you've done in this video. I had to spend a little more time waiting on space time distortions, but by the time you reached arceus I was 8 hours ahead of your time :D It was kind of assuring to head a few of the things I figured out on my own for the research was actually optimal. Best Game 10/10
This is why I took arceus’s advice and caught/completed everything on the dex before going to fight volo with that I was at around level 70 with my entire team so it was a cake walk due to my shiny sylveon
@@MakerMonkey01 after choosing and naming your character, Arceus literally tells you to "Seek out all Pokemon" It's just reiterated later if you haven't.
I recently completed this and it took me ages, especially finding the last wisps, they were a nightmare, plus getting everything to level 10 research, some I maxed out. It was an absolute grind but I honestly had so much fun. I bought it a week before S/V came out to give me my Pokémon fix for a week but I honestly couldn't wait to play it again. It gave me the same feeling as when I was first playing Pokémon Blue when I was a child 😊
Ah man, good content, but I thought I had finally found someone on the same grind as me... Perfecting the whole dex. The research points cap at 99,999 btw
A tip for anyone who wants to unalive because they can't find a peat block: The quest where Zeke runs off to find Wanda and gets lost? That reward GIVES you a peat block. Save yourself, find a Wanda
There is one last thing that you need to do, and that is to Perfect every Pokédex entry meaning you have to do every single research task for every single Pokemon
Keegan J, thats actually 2 things you can still do in legends. Theres notes called old verses burried undergrounds scattered across all the maps, only ursaluna can find them. So you need to ride ursaluna a cross all 5 maps untill you find all 20 old verses Theres also a 2nd mini pokedex for unknown. You don't need any unknown to meet arceus the 1 is basically hands 2 you when the story tells you about them so you can catch all the unknown
I'd love to see you try and get a perfect dex entry for every pokemon in this game just to see what would happen or just how long it would actually take
Damn, I haven't completed the game but I did catch every Pokemon. I had a noticeably different experience compared to you since I basically caught everything in sight to rake in those research points. I would even explore as much of an area as I could before continuing the story missions. As a result, I NEVER got blocked out of the story for not having a high enough star because my rank was almost always going up. By the time I got to the credits, I had over 200 Pokemon caught. And surprisingly, battles ended up being relatively easy for me since my constant catching raised my Pokemon experience to at least 10 levels above most enemy trainer Pokemon. The Volo and Giratina fight was still a bitch, though. That was one of the few fights my Pokemon happened to be around the same level. Also, if anyone's looking for a Peat Block, do the requests leading up to request 77.
If you approach an outbreak, aim to find a shiny in the enitial 4. Once you catch it in overworld (do not battle them) leave the outbreak incomplete. Find your way back to professor, save, go back to town, go back to map (where outbreak is) go check the outbreak, try again for another shiny. If not, reset, rinse and repeat and you can find a total of 12 shinys from every outbreak. Thats a hard grind. I always stop at 4. Found 4 chimchar in an hour from the same outbreak
Nice job, I’m doing this as well but going for true perfection. (I’m at 39 hours and have perfectly completed 13 Pokémon, though I’m rank 8 or 9 I forget which)
Same bruh. I'm at rank 6 and haven't left Obsidian Fields because I'm trying to Perfect every pokemon there first haha. Of course I'll have to move on anyway to get to certain areas, but I feel your pain haha.
@@cancertourmaline6798 at first thought theres no way im goona 100% those research tasks, but 50 hours in somehow im not bored to death and still dedicated to it xd I still havn't talked to Mai on the bridge yet either
@@marcimex7 OH MY GOSH LOLLL. YOu ma'am/sir are on another level of dedication. I talked to Mai to access the rest of Obsidian Fields. I think Imma progress though, I'll just get Level 10 on every pokemon before leaving haha.
Im now at 70k points. Doing random tasks and switch the pokemon every 20 or so minutes im working on. Thus I only have around 15 perfect dex entries but the max points are around 120k -125k. So only 50k missing...
Next stage: not only level 10 in each pokedex entry, but perfect (fill all pages completely) ;) I've only done it for a few (the startes in all their stages, Eevees and a select few others) it heightens shiny chance for the Pokemon =D

You did not 100% it tho. That would involve "perfecting" every Dex entry and completing the Path of Solitude for every Pokemon, probably among other things. I mean come on you didn't even mention all the Spiritomb wisps or the Unow
I beat Volo in 3 tries and when my friend told me it took him a lot of times and saw this video I realised how lucky I was or I just had a good strategy
Geezus 80+ hours! It's gonna take me at least double that... I'm 60 hours in and I got like 60 pokemon at perfect dex entries... maybe like 25 sidequest done, 1 noble and like rank 6 it's taking me forever to do these. I just get overwhelmed moving onto different areas so I'm trying to complete as many dex entries as I can in one area before I go to the next just cause it makes me easier for me to know what to avoid or what I need to work on. You're an absolute madlad! Well done!
Take your time. It's not a race. If you're enjoying your time playing then getting to enjoy it for longer until you finish it can only be a good thing right?
@@wh4t3v3rrrThat really means a lot, and is something I needed to hear, thank you. Yeah I'm honestly having a lot of fun with it. I'm enjoying the area I'm in and looking forward to the rest of the game :)

I'm trying to enjoy and maximize the game time, doing everything I can... for example, I just arrived in coronet highlands and already have 9 stars and 60+ LVL pokemons, with all sides completed except for the wips.
best pokemon game imo, its so lively and interactive and this is the type of game i dreamed about as a kid, actually catching pokemon while having free range. Im starting a new playthrough right now
Tip for anyone fighting the dude and giratina. Just use the cresselia you have to catch. It sweeps his whole teams and is a good match up for giratina.
You did a great job! But you miss a few things for 100% ^^ There is a Perfect! for each Pokemon in research, not just Rank 10. When I did it, I went for the Perfect on each Pokemon and it took me 390 hours and was still worth it in the end. There is also a special badge you can get for each Pokemon, by battling Ingo, there will show up in the Pokedex, if you really wanna go for it ^^
I'm at 180 hours now with like... I would say a 15-20% perfection rate. But I'm also working on getting a full living shiny dex, so I'm doing a lot of outbreaks and massive mass outbreaks to pad the shinies. I also spent a lot of time grinding money because I just wanted to buy out all the outfits, but I'm luckily done with that now so I'm just passively stacking up money for balls and other catching items (like the stun stuff. I didn't use it at firstbut goddamn is it an absolute savior)
It took me a little over 400 hours to get Perfect on each Pokémon and getting all those special badges against Ingo. Definitely a brutal grind, but agree that it is worth it in the end.
I can't believe you jumped into the water so many times. XD "What 'Legends' title would you like to see next?" Legends: Sun and Moon. I want to see Alola in the past. There is a lot of cool ancient Hawaiian culture that could be used for story purposes in the islands, especially with the Tapus. ^_^
You can get a Peat block from a side quest ( Side quest 86) and it has to be a full moon (in the game) to evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna I am also going for 3 complete pokedexs..... 1) having every pokemon 2) havingevery pokemon as an alpha 3) having every pokemon as a shiny
I also (almost) 100% the game (the only thing left are the one pokèmon battles with Andy missions) and I can't even explaining how much I loved the game. Yes, the graphics are absolutely terrible, but everything else was incredible for me. All the lore told by the old verses and the plates (not sure of the english name), the characters and the political part of the worldbuilding (of course as much as a pokèmon game can do), the multiple references for the vet fans, I don't know why, but I loved this game so much, it's the first time I (almost) finish every little thing in a pokèmon game (never finished a pokèdex or a post-game for example) and it was so beautiful for me. Really beautiful games for pokèmon fans P.S. Omg finishing the rangs after finishing the pokèdex was so exhausting!!!! Those 3000 last points were hell
Honestly I feel like Alzef would be harder if it gave you infinte poke balls and you had to catch it with a catch rate of like 1.45% thats a great test of willpower
ok but the fact that kamado, the toughest leader of the galaxy team that leads you to victory and beats the player up, uses a fat pink cat thing that likes space is so funny to me

It touched a tiny fire stone in the volcano and evolved
I was waiting your video to see how this game is. Looks different to what we're used to from Pokemon. Tiring at times but ultimately looks fun and your vid made it even more enjoyable.
It's the best mainline games since gen v
Thats why its so good. Its not the lazy shit they pump out every year since gen 6.
"This prick of a Gibble." really got me. Big fan, Keegan!
So what did you think of Legends Arceus
I hope they do more of these they have SSSOOOOO much potential
Or pokemon the legend of X and Y
I think there was a short video out for an upcoming game called Legend of Celebi.

@@AbdoRyudamon that was a fan trailer.
@@AbdoRyudamon was fan made lol
This game makes a clear distinction between putting all mons to research level 10 compared to maxing their research. The first is a fun challenge, the latter can become an insane grindfest
Oh boy do I have a Johnstone for you!
Honestly the Giritina fight was the first time in history that I had any trouble with a pokemon battle. Goodra did come in clutch tho
Lmfaooo, I was completely baffled when I evolved my Eevee at night and it turned into a Sylveon. Love your reaction here hahaha
I'm sure Time Distortions and resetting the area for lost satchels are your best friends by now.
Arceus be with you, trainer
Meanwhile I’m still trying to Perfect every dex entry and I’m nowhere close at 130 hours in. Props to you for choosing to ignore that aspect of the game. And to anyone who wants to try it? Don’t.
Took me about 120-130 hours. Only thing I'm missing is raising the Pokédex entrys to Perfect but I'm NOT gonna do that
Agreed

So funny thing, Black Augurite can actually be obtained as an item drop from Graveler, including the ones that pop out of tumblestone deposits.
Funny thing is i got a black augurite from graveler first try
Wow bro i appreciate you taking time out of your day to make content for your veiwers even though it took over 50+ hrs bro i really appreciate you, you always make my day when I watch you and you have inspired me to actully get the games that you play, again thank you so much for everything you do.
Yeah getting max star rank is crazy 1-9 is combined 29,000 points but then to get from 9 to 10 you need 30,000 I'm currently rank 9 because I'm "perfecting" all dex entries in obsidian fields so I have not beaten kleavor yet
Damn that last ranking gap is insane
The heck is wrong with you bro
@@JaspOrr stubbornness although I've given up on that endeavour for now I've gotten beaten the game and gotten research level 10 on everything as well as made a living dex so I'm taking a break after 140 hours or something like that
@@harryh4h720 what's a living dex? Just all the Pokémon in your Pantry?
I'm astounded by how funny a video can be every 30seconds.
Editor is elite also!
85 hours isnt actually that far from my playtime with the same feats. I spent extra playtime shiny hunting if that factors into the equation at all, but it took me around 90 ish hours for this list of feats. So im happy to see on a first blind playthrough that it took you just as long as me with mine.
I did it all in about a week and a half- i have sleeping issues so that helped. It is a fun game actually :) i love all the little details
I find it funny, everyone struggled with volo but all I did was explore and I was over leveled for his fight XD
Same! I still think Cynthia in BDSP is harder.
I think I was like 80 hrs into PLA at that point, just from goofing around and 10-pointing Dex entries.
Every Mon I used was over 80 and I had Dialga and Palkia.
I think I used a Typhlosion, Gallade and Dialga for the whole 8 Mon battle
Literally play the game and you win lol
@@brambleon please it was pretty difficult lol. I beat Cynthia quicker than him 😭
If you catch the big boi static Alphas- Volo isnt too difficult. Spent a good hour on Enamorous as well until I clocked how to do it
@@Flobbarus bestie I just used dialga
Pokemon legends arkeus is honestly such a great game. Love the mechanics, story, etc. glad i got it
I'm gonna attempt this myself. 33 hours in and I've reached research level 7 and finished the story. Working on the Dex and side quests now
you are a legend bro! you spent a lot of time on this and need more recognition
Everything that you have said, think and/or do, I did it too! I finally met someone with the same reactions and mistakes I've done! I just discover your channel, and I really like the energy you pout on your videos!
Also, thank you Luker, this video is a bliss and is very funny to watch!
:D
I acutally just finished doing basically exactly what you've done in this video.
I had to spend a little more time waiting on space time distortions, but by the time you reached arceus I was 8 hours ahead of your time :D
It was kind of assuring to head a few of the things I figured out on my own for the research was actually optimal.
Best Game 10/10
Good tip on the PC evos for progress
This is why I took arceus’s advice and caught/completed everything on the dex before going to fight volo with that I was at around level 70 with my entire team so it was a cake walk due to my shiny sylveon
The advice is after the battle
@@MakerMonkey01 after choosing and naming your character, Arceus literally tells you to "Seek out all Pokemon"
It's just reiterated later if you haven't.
How? You need to beat volo and catch giratina and the forces of nature
Same, but you kind of ruinied my day with the cap
A tip for anyone who wants to unalive because they can't find a peat block: The quest where Zeke runs off to find Wanda and gets lost? That reward GIVES you a peat block. Save yourself, find a Wanda
My best tip for the final noble is to stay at the bottom left corner and move when needed
There is one last thing that you need to do, and that is to Perfect every Pokédex entry meaning you have to do every single research task for every single Pokemon
Nailed the commentary! Thank you for the review.
Keegan J, thats actually 2 things you can still do in legends.
Theres notes called old verses burried undergrounds scattered across all the maps, only ursaluna can find them. So you need to ride ursaluna a cross all 5 maps untill you find all 20 old verses
Theres also a 2nd mini pokedex for unknown. You don't need any unknown to meet arceus the 1 is basically hands 2 you when the story tells you about them so you can catch all the unknown
i came across this by searching legends arceus and i like it! good job on the video, subscribing :)
Currently doing a 100%. And that includes... Every single pokedex entry not just completed, but perfect. Haaaaa. It's honestly very fun.
I'd love to see you try and get a perfect dex entry for every pokemon in this game just to see what would happen or just how long it would actually take
perfect dex entry only gives an extra roll during shiny odds calculation, and of course bragging rights :-D
Throwing me into the ground like a peace of meat wait YOU THROW YOUR MEAT
I respect u that u choose oshwott samurott is my favourite
I would have had done exactly this on my initial playthrough without issue if I hadn't hit the Cresselia soft lock at the 90 hour mark.
DANG WHAT A DEDICATION
but I'm still laughing my ass off of the "THESE UNGRATEFUL FU**ERS" SAVAGE ASF hahahaha
I got two Psyducks from a single outbreak last night. T'was a wild moment for me i tell ya!
40+ hours in and still not fully completed. The wisps were the biggest pain in the neck.

Im now at 70k points. Doing random tasks and switch the pokemon every 20 or so minutes im working on. Thus I only have around 15 perfect dex entries but the max points are around 120k -125k. So only 50k missing...
Next stage: not only level 10 in each pokedex entry, but perfect (fill all pages completely) ;)
I've only done it for a few (the startes in all their stages, Eevees and a select few others)
it heightens shiny chance for the Pokemon =D
Honestly just going to play this now to shiny hunt the new evolution's, still a shame Dunsparce is getting no love.
arceus is crazy hard to battle but fun at the same time , love that final boss battle
I want to do this in the game, but harder. Full dex completion. I am not, however, getting every alpha or shiny. Too much work.
Yeah it takes hours for some of the alphas and shiny's to pop... there are legit some alpha's that have like .1% chance of appearing... potentially youd have to reload the zone 999 times X_X
@@DekkarJr i been trying to get an alpha petilil so i could evolve it into lilliant found the area where it supposed to spawn but it doesnt seem to want to spawn but i did caught a whole bunch of petilil though
I do not wanna undermine keegans achievement of doing a 100% of this lovely game, but for me a 100% would be completing the pokedex to perfect on every poekmon, and i know it is bs to do, cuase i am currently doing it, so defffinetly not a must, but in my completionanist state of mind i just wanna do it, for myself to say, ye 100% nice, anyway, good video keegan big love
You did not 100% it tho. That would involve "perfecting" every Dex entry and completing the Path of Solitude for every Pokemon, probably among other things. I mean come on you didn't even mention all the Spiritomb wisps or the Unow

Womp womp bro did you do all the stuff he did
I beat Volo in 3 tries and when my friend told me it took him a lot of times and saw this video I realised how lucky I was or I just had a good strategy
Kamado is literally the definition of "I'm either going to kill god or die trying"
"My little Palika" got me rolling 🤣
Yo!
Him: complete everything. Me: catch every shiny, find every outbreak, die every way, etc etc. Jk love you keegan thanks for putting this work in
Geezus 80+ hours!

“The offspring of Santa and a Reindeer”😂😂😂😂😂😂
People joked about Dialga and Palkia's new forms but knowing what we know now with the teraleak... Yeah they look like that for a really good reason.
You did a great job!
But you miss a few things for 100% ^^
There is a Perfect! for each Pokemon in research, not just Rank 10.
XD
"What 'Legends' title would you like to see next?"
Legends: Sun and Moon. I want to see Alola in the past. There is a lot of cool ancient Hawaiian culture that could be used for story purposes in the islands, especially with the Tapus. ^_^
Amazing video, king! Love your videos! Thank you for the upload!!!
You can get a Peat block from a side quest ( Side quest 86) and it has to be a full moon (in the game) to evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna
I am also going for 3 complete pokedexs.....
1) having every pokemon
2) havingevery pokemon as an alpha
3) having every pokemon as a shiny
Really beautiful games for pokèmon fans
