Thank you for sharing the joy of Banff and Icefield Parkway (and respecting the no drone law!). I would recommend always carrying bear spray on you when walking away from your van. you are traveling in bear country and it's the time of year they are coming out of hibernation and grumps (or momma bears who are protective). Oh this vlog was totally awesome; the scenery SO beautiful And walking down to that spa and the single moose; I love how it made you girls cry. Then you got your wish; bison on the highway; they were huge and beautiful and there was even a baby bison. Then a gorgeous black bear supervising everything. I love the bison.. In the states we call them buffalo..I used to own a house where there were buffalo and you could walk up to them to pet them or feed them. They DON'T have babies often but I was able to see them have a calf after NO babies for 8yrs. That's the ONLY time you DIDN'T want to walk up to them. The entire group were very protective of the baby calf. I'm loving watching you two get to see exactly what you wanted to see. Keep enjoying your road trip to Alaska!!! ♥️🐾

So glad you had such a magical time at Liard Hot Springs. Yes, chat and locals will give you the best things to do. That is a great area for wildlife viewing.
From an old guy that did that trip last year and rushed through every trip his entire life. Slow Down! Enjoy what there is to see, meet people (like at the hot spring), there is so much to see, so much to learn. Every time I stop, I am glad I did. I rushed through that trip last year and now want to go back and look at the things I missed. On way home drive down west side of BC. Lots to see there. One stop for sure is Stewart ,BC ,Salmon Glacier. Destination Adventure covered that area pretty well, good place to start research. Enjoy your trip. Thanks for the videos.
Wow how lucky were you guy's first seeing an amazing mousse, then angered of bison to cap it off with a bear. All the animals are waking from hibernation it would seem. You do lucky to see such beautiful animals so close up and the hot springs looked so relaxing an amazing start to the Alaska Highway just so beautiful and amazing can't wait for your next video good k
I drove the Alaska highway in 1998 and when you went through the Frasier River canyon it felt like yesterday!!! I didn't see a single animal back then, until I got to Fairbanks, when I finally saw a moose IN TOWN. That was September though. You picked the right time to go for sure! I did another road trip to Alaska in 2018, but this time did not go up the highway but instead drove up the west coast of BC in May. Saw ALL the baby animals that trip! Also I'm not sure if it is along the AK highway or not but if you get a chance to camp in the 'Million Dollar Falls' campground in the YT, it does not disappoint! It was by far my favorite campground. I could talk about driving up there forever but I won't. Have so much fun!!!!
Whenever I get to the end of a Tal & Mads video and the message "Hope We Made You Smile" appears, I realise I have a huge grin on my face! The two of you are made for TH-cam and we really need to get you to 100k subscribers this year. Can't wait for Alaska!

Love all of those stops! It’s a long road trip but a beautiful one. If you make it up to a lodge owned by Princess Cruises called the McKinley Princess Lodge, let me know! We work there and can show you around. It’s about an hour north of the town of Talkeetna. So excited to see what you’ll be seeing in Alaska.

I drove that highway in the late 80’s before you two were born. Watching you makes me want to drive it again. I also drove through the centre of BC to the Yukon in April when I was the age you are now, it was a very bad idea but we survived with stories to tell. I love your outdoor slippers! Stay safe! 💜

Tal Mads and Bowie. Ive such fond memories of Canada. Toronto, Woodstock are the places my family are at. In 2002 my father and myself did the Banff to Vancouver trip by coach. Jasper is amazing. I nener knew you would be arrested, put in front of a judge and put in prison for 6 month for feeding the birds, after enquiring why,and right on cue, a bkack bear strolls through town. Kelowna has a wonderful apple orchard family run and the food is delicious. Ill never forget our driver Roly. He said that when they made the Deer and the Elk , they made the Moose with what was left over. I was in stitches. Im really loving the uploads you are all perfect. Cant wait to get back to see the Blue Jays and eat freshly picked corn on the cob, peaches and cream variety. Its my favourite food. Stay safe guys lots of love from the UK xxx.
Always be careful walking on snow this time of year. I was hiking the Chilkoot Trail the summer I was 14. Fell through a snow crust between two boulders. Got my leg wedged between. Got to camp that night and heated some water because my leg was covered in frozen owies. It’s been 30 years and I still have a scar!! That was one of the best and worst experiences of my life.
I am happy you got to go to Liard Hot Springs! Don't forget to mention some of your Alaska bucket list items were in BC. So many Americans drive that highway with Alaska as the goal and don't give Canada the appreciation or time it deserves. I enjoy your humor and your channel. I found you through vanwives.

Funny thing - as you were approaching the Bison- I thought that you said- 'oh- the bison crapping 'signs' - as if you noticed their 'deposits' so knew that you would see them soon! It is very common to find wildlife near the boardwalk to the Liard Hot Springs. Off season is the best time to visit the springs, as it is crowded to overflow camping during the summer. The price of diesel at the lodge was the highest we have ever found….anywhere. Off to Toad River! Thanks for another great video.
Hey Cam! The wildlife near the hot springs was WILD! We really felt like we were on a self-guided safari haha. Yes, the price of diesel is killing us up here! In Alberta, it was cheaper than gas 😅
This is about where my journey will start. I plan on driving from CA to Banff around this time next year. I’ll be traveling with a small group up to Alaska. How exciting to see where I’ll be driving now.

Liard hot springs is a magical place. We’ve visited many times, but never seen a moose, (or, thankfully, a bear. 😆) You two are so fortunate.

I nener knew you would be arrested, put in front of a judge and put in prison for 6 month for feeding the birds, after enquiring why,and right on cue, a bkack bear strolls through town. Kelowna has a wonderful apple orchard family run and the food is delicious. Ill never forget our driver Roly. He said that when they made the Deer and the Elk , they made the Moose with what was left over. I was in stitches. Im really loving the uploads you are all perfect. Cant wait to get back to see the Blue Jays and eat freshly picked corn on the cob, peaches and cream variety. Its my favourite food. Stay safe guys lots of love from the UK xxx.

Always be careful walking on snow this time of year. I was hiking the Chilkoot Trail the summer I was 14. Fell through a snow crust between two boulders. Got my leg wedged between. Got to camp that night and heated some water because my leg was covered in frozen owies. It’s been 30 years and I still have a scar!! That was one of the best and worst experiences of my life.

Just damn amazing! I have driven across the US at least 8 times from Ca to Ohio, from Ohio to Florida etc and have seen amazing things. Thank you so much for showing areas of the world I probably won't see in person. You guys just constantly amaze and inspire. Keep on Truckin'!! ❤❤

Funny thing - as you were approaching the Bison- I thought that you said- 'oh- the bison crapping 'signs' - as if you noticed their 'deposits' so knew that you would see them soon! It is very common to find wildlife near the boardwalk to the Liard Hot Springs. Off season is the best time to visit the springs, as it is crowded to overflow camping during the summer. The price of diesel at the lodge was the highest we have ever found….anywhere. Off to Toad River! Thanks for another great video.
Hey Cam! The wildlife near the hot springs was WILD! We really felt like we were on a self-guided safari haha. Yes, the price of diesel is killing us up here! In Alberta, it was cheaper than gas 😅
