    I have been watching your videos for a while now, specially the HDD recovery ones, because of them after a year of practicing HDD recovery with dead HDD i started for a short period of time(4 Months) an HDD recovery business, for i didn't have the specialized tools for platter swap and the container that doesnt allow particles on the disk, i had to stop, but i had tons of fun, a bit o money gained, and a lot of knowledge, thank you for these videos sir. you are a legend, big hug from Africa, Mozambique. Once i get the resources to buy the tools i might get back and get serious on Data Recovery, for now i'm just coding.

      @@hddrecoveryservices thank you so much Sir. it means a lot to me. Once i gather some money to get the tools for swapping HDD platter and the "Chamber" that prevents dust and particles from entering the platter i'll start recovering again and this time im goin in hard. thanks for all your videos Sir. they are life saving.

    You sir are an artist. I like the idea of this board that you placed it on. Too bad you have to rely on another card to get it to work, it would be amazing if you had a sled pre-built for every brand. And it looks they do. Holy cow, my soldering skills are not ready for any of that.

    The finesse how he rolls wire into a pad is 👌 is there some sort of of-the-shelf solution tho? Pads with wire attached and uv glue under it or something?

    Hi I have a micro sd card that is broken just after the contacts, I'm looking at your videos and channel. The card has some calibration videos for a stereo camera system that we use. I'm about to go off into the field and all will be well if none of the cameras break or get flooded during the trip then I'll be able to do a post-calibration. But if a camera fails I'll need the pre-calibration videos. I'm an electronics engineer and keen to learn more about the dark art of recovery, I can't seem to find some of the tools you use. especially an adaptor for the micro sdcard

    Awesome job, as always. Never seen anybody repair/replace pads on a BGA chip before. Is it any different from repairing traces on a logic board? How did you expose the traces on the BGA before you soldered the makeshift pad wires to?

    • @hddrecoveryservices
      @hddrecoveryservices  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      the pad was repaired on the PCB. PCB was also black so it may look like a BGA. Screen capture was on for the first part of the process, so I just jumped to the part that I had footage for. Basically, you scrape away a bit of the trace lead and solder up a bare wire to it. Cure mask the contact point. Then you twist the wire in just like in the video and mask it once more. Cure, scrap the top to expose a "new" pad - done
