  • Senbutsu Limestone Cave was designated as a natural monument in 1933.
This large limestone cave was created over millions of years by rainwater from the karst plateau.
Thing that it was. The temperature inside the cave is 16 degrees Celsius and the water temperature 14 degrees Celsius throughout the year, keeping it extremely cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The main cave is said to be several thousand meters long, but you can only enter the cave up to about 1,200 meters. At the entrance, there are over 30 large and small stalactites hanging down, and the Japan Caping Association praised the structure as being the best in Japan. Inside the cave, stalactites, stalagmites, and stone pillars are highly developed, and there are famous spots like the one pictured above, and this mystery is sure to captivate the hearts of all explorers who visit the main cave.
