I think one accesory that could make this figure pop even more is Gwen with her hair tied up, to replicate that one scene with Miles. I know it would probably cost more, but since we already don't have fisted hands, a little extra head accesory wouldn't hurt.

I really love this figure. Im enjoying it more than the miles. My only real gripe with her is that lack of a lower crunch basically. It would have made a huge difference
I like the idea behind the texturing of the suit, but i feel like they went a little too hard with the pitting. Still gonna pick them both up tho.

I just picked the marvel legends, so thanx for the advice on not needing this one. I’d never heard of S.H Figuarts until now, but I have to say their face sculpts on the Miles and Gwen u picked up are far superior than other versions. Great video mate 🤘

@_sus_. To be fair, not every store has imported toys. Some only have Hasbro or Mattel and such.

The thumbnail really got me hooked.
Shf first form cell legs snapped off on me I’ve been oiling joints ever since. Definitely recommend oiling Gwen at the thigh swivel because it’s not just a peg but a ball joint perfect for siting cross leg positions.
What do you use to oil joints?
@@Charlie-qk3gt I used razor blade oil that came with a mechanical razor for a few play arts kai and shf figures but I recently bought a bottle of pvc oil that I have been using ever since. I also dipped 3 figures in boiling water for about 15 seconds to soften the rubber beforehand because their joints were stuck from sitting in package for about 15 years.
I have this Gwen, the SH Figuarts Across the Spider-Verse Miles and Sentinel's Into the Spider-Verse Peter-B all on order. Very much looking forward to owning them.
Haven't bought a Spidey Fig since the ToyBiz 18" 67 point of articulation Spidey.

I just wish that stuff like this would “go on sale” but it never will. At least in my country any stock is limited and what stores do get it would rather overcharge by 100$ and let it sit on the shelf until someone with cash and no reason will come by and buy it
looking to pick this and miles up, don’t think 2099 was available at the event but i’m excited to see what they do for him as the product photos don’t show off all of his accesssories. was originally going to get just the legends figures but upon discovering the figuarts i was in love, maybe i’ll get a legends spot to go with them though.
Also is the stand for her and miles definitively exclusive to the event? every pre order listing i find lists it as an accessory
After seeing the movie I gotta get my hands on The Spot fig. As for the stands, the event exclusives have a special design that differs from the standard release stand.

Doesn't seem like an issue limited to Gwen. My SHFiguarts Miles came out a bit sticky after a while.

i love sh figure arts but I admit the legs are the most problematic. I encounter that on my Iron man mark 2 and warmachine. My Ironman one leg is now broken even though I just display it in a standing pose.

Mine did not have the thigh issue and it is not the exclusive version. Perhaps in the full release this has been resolved?

I wish S.H.F made us customise and make our own Spider people or other figures so they’re all unique in there different ways so it would be like they came form the spider verse movie that’s just my opinion though.
You can customize if you are willing to do it. I'm doing some experiment on using model kit runners. Mostly scratch building models of robots and mecha that doesn't exist.

I usually just get marvel legends because usually when I order sh figure are it’s allways messed up but when I see this video I’m order it becuase it’s a pretty good figure but the no fist is annoying but great video
I know this came out six months ago but you can technically use her web grabbing hands as A fist some people might say that’s not the same if ur mad about it you should be grateful that it’s something
My theory is that they took away the fisted hands from those releases since they have a stand, hence fisted hands will be included in regular releases
Well someone on IG just shared pics of the standard releases and there aren’t any fists. The packaging is also different.

Honestly, the only S.H.F I've ever gotten is the Spider-Man PS4 one because goddamn does it look freaking incredible, white spider and all. I might have to actually buy these though.
I’ve had similar issues with S.H. Figure and MonsterArts figures to these figures. 8 yrs ago, I preordered Suicide Squad Harley Quinn that took almost two years for it to arrive around the same time I ordered Godzilla figures. They were all cinematic accurate but have gaps in their socket joints to make them very posable around $90-$150+. Which is why I went for Hot Toys 1/6 and statue collecting instead. Marvel Legends figures are still great for action figure collectors that are mostly comic book or animation accurate.
Her slippers in the first movie were off. In the comics she has parkour speed running shows.

@@ItsGeekEffect Yeah, always sucks running into tight ball joints. It's kinda been a problem with S.H. Figuarts for over a decade. Like back when the Tiger & Bunny ones came out around 2010/2011, I remember Wild Tiger's hips being so tight that some people broke them (shock oiled mine before it was an issue).
Figuarts were also only like $40 back then...
Yeah, sadly collecting this stuff...it's kind of a requirement to have shock oil always at the ready lol.

The hips issue is a common one with SH Figuarts, too tight is way better than too loose, and Japanese figures are made for consumers who are also hobbyists to some degree. I disagree with the assessment that it’s a QC issue.
I’m still new to collecting import figures, so I’ve got a lot to learn. I do prefer tight joints because it means the poses hold better, but I don’t feel it should be so tight to the point that it’s breaking on people. I’m just looking out for those who aren’t experienced with these figs so they don’t break it.

I have this figure and have zero problems with the legs. The drop down hips allow her a wide range of movement-she can nearly do the full splits. It’s smooth as silk.

One of the my friends just broke his spider-gwen. I’m concerned on mine when it arrived. Maybe I had to use hair dryer or warm water to loosen the joints 😢

Is it worth it going for the event exclusive variant?
Well it was worth it because I got to meet one of my friends in the community in person, check out the displays, and see New York for the first time in a while. What sold me was getting the figs early I guess, the stands are just a bonus.

What's different is the packaging and this one comes with a special stand.
The company needs to make some sort of stretchable leggings. So u wouldn't see any odd looking joint bends
