He's a genius for sure. Brilliant musician and a wicked comedian. If you see him in front of an audience you're amazed by his sounds, not bored for 1 sec and laughing your ass off
He sings, does the beatbox, memory-and-repeat thing, effects, electronics, killer keyboard reef, and create the.. thing!! I'll be damned if he's not featured in music magazines in the next decade as a new icon.
Easily one of the most naturally talented musicians of his generation, or any other generation for that matter!! Just outstanding as always Beardyman. You're on another level.
It's funny how hard it is to explain to people how valuable this guy is to the future of music. Imagine a band of Beardys'. Hopefully we'll be seeing a product line on the market soon!!
+Jason Becker Hmm, a whole band - how would that work? To be able to improvise on the spot, wouldn't the band members need to be somehow telepathically connected to a single overmind? Ohh yes, future of music - brain-computer interface networks - the Beardtrix.
He has actually formed one called the Dream Team. Has two freestyle rappers and a cellist. Beardy communicates to them telepathically, if you will, with a mic and in-ears :)
2 skills are required for this...1st. the knowledge of fl studio and how each instrument works...the 2nd is the skills from being a dj which is based a lot on timing and mixing sounds/songs and how to cut off beats or match beats. You have to be a producer & a dj to even come close to beardyman the guy is a genius with music
I love how you could see the thoughts in his head on his face, right at the end of his set. Such purity in his moment. Thank you Beardyman. You are truly inspirational!
+Steven Arnoldi It still crashes unfortunately - he had to abandon using it at the gig on Friday as the response time dropped on one of the chained iPads :(
When i read the comments i see that most of the viewers get how brilliant this is, how brilliant he is! However, i dont get why he still is a "underdog". For me, he is simply the best musican alive. I cant understand why everybod knows david guetta and nobody i talk to knows him. I Love him, and i honestly i think everybody who likes music should too
This is So awesome, seriously a masterpiece of work, Beardyman reinvents him self daily. To have that much talent & intellect. Love his stuff, I hope I see him live one day.
pofijanika best part of the whole set. I keep rewinding it back. The way he says “let go” (I think that’s what he says) matches so perfectly with the beat.
thats how electronic should be made. Live performing it rather than preproducing it and then mixing it live which i also enjoy but its much more respectable for musicians seeing it as a performance
Michael Zehdnicker There can be an equal amount of talent in preproducing a song just as there is performing it live. Different skills are required, and obviously beardyman has both.
How had I not seen this video of Darren's before!? Beardyman's amazing in this video, as always! Thanks TH-cam recommendations for pointing it out, and DJ Mag for distributing it.
Well it's not like there's some special property to this music that makes it more suitable for headphones than for speakers, it's just music. Suggesting headphones specifically just doesn't make much sense to me. I recommend listening to it using whatever you have that sounds best.
There's a part at about 30:00 that he starts singing about something. I can only make out a few key words, I wish I knew what he was saying, it sounds pretty real.
Still coming back to this. It's so ethereal. Wish he'd record an album of it
beardyman's understanding of musical structure and layering never creases to amaze and fascinate me. such a talent. next level as always dude
Creases 😂
\o/
He's a genius for sure. Brilliant musician and a wicked comedian. If you see him in front of an audience you're amazed by his sounds, not bored for 1 sec and laughing your ass off
damn, clip is 8 years old, yet it is so advanced already... right now its unfathomable mental stuff
He sings, does the beatbox, memory-and-repeat thing, effects, electronics, killer keyboard reef, and create the.. thing!!
I'll be damned if he's not featured in music magazines in the next decade as a new icon.
the thing is, Beardy is only artist I know of, whom everytime I heard him, he played something different and that"s bloody wicked!
Reggie Watts as a close second, anyone..?
@Sebastian Kleinod Aw yea! Tash rocks.
Beardyman is a step ahead of humanity.
The fact this is 5 years old, it still remains current in 2021!! Beardyman is a genius a musical pioneer and a personal inspiration!! Timeless!!!
Easily one of the most naturally talented musicians of his generation, or any other generation for that matter!! Just outstanding as always Beardyman. You're on another level.
He is the only one. The chosen one. The Beardyman.
The Beardyone
I listened to many hours of Beardyman and never heard the same thing twice.
+orbik aha
He has actually formed one called the Dream Team. Has two freestyle rappers and a cellist. Beardy communicates to them telepathically, if you will, with a mic and in-ears :)
Yeh. That one is on sound cloud. In terms of telepathy, his connection with the audience has always been greater than most artists...
id love to buy a beardyman sexrobot
A true ARTIST! I’m once again blown away by his unreal amount of creativity and ideas 🔥😱♥️
When Beardy does house, it's glorious.
Most people have no idea how difficult what he does actually is. Incredible stuff...
They really don't! I would love to have a go on the Beardytron 5000 though!
Holy shit.... He just did in one hour what it takes me to do in two months with FL studio
definitely can

I love when people talk down about FL. It's nowhere near the worst DAW. It's really good, just hard to use properly.
make a time lapse of you doing this in FL
I love how you could see the thoughts in his head on his face, right at the end of his set. Such purity in his moment. Thank you Beardyman. You are truly inspirational!
Still my favourite set of his… straight up musical masterpiece. No one even comes close to this.
Perfection ! no audiance. no transitions. no false need to hype. Just pure vibe and sounds.
:))))))
17:23 oh my god ~!!!!
I keep coming back to the this. The opening is like the perfect example of a DJ shadow track from the glory days.
30-35th minute OMG what a tune he has created... i want to buy that right now!
I cannot wait to hear the productions Beardyman creates, now that is finally happy (or close to being) with the beardytron!
+Steven Arnoldi It still crashes unfortunately - he had to abandon using it at the gig on Friday as the response time dropped on one of the chained iPads :(
Steven Arnoldi titihýuoh th i

And, thank you very much Dj Mag for create this moment .
This is So awesome, seriously a masterpiece of work, Beardyman reinvents him self daily. To have that much talent & intellect. Love his stuff, I hope I see him live one day.
I laughed when he started sampling the tune he just played at 1:00 hip-hop style - Genius!
Man and machine in perfect harmony.

That track at around 29:00 - 35:00 blows my mind every time.
+pofijanika Agree! He is a genius
+pofijanika mine too 🔥♥️👌🏻
pofijanika best part of the whole set. I keep rewinding it back. The way he says “let go” (I think that’s what he says) matches so perfectly with the beat.
Very unique, very cool

I make music on reason at a very basic level.....this guy is a genius of the highest order.....insane....amazing human
Even shaven, He don't lose His powers!
I would recommend listening to this on some good headphones.
+THETBRETT Or good speakers! I dunno why people always suggest headphones for these kinds of things, if you've got good speakers, even better!
+TheSandvichTrials Cause a lot of people on our earth lives in a flat with neighbours !
Fabien Bourdier But what does that have to do with anything? If you've got good speakers and you can use them, why not?
+THETBRETT i was listening on my Krok's, but i put in the Sennheisers and found it a better experience. Sue me.

I can only make out a few key words, I wish I knew what he was saying, it sounds pretty real.
omg that part from 30-35 i would buy right now!!!!
I’ve been wandering the same since I first discovered this
This is my favorite part of the entire set. It sounds like he’s saying “Let go” perhaps?
technology + genius = BOSS
