    This was great. I dont own a fendt but i think i could drive one based on your video. You could make video series about how to drive tractors, combines etc. with every brand- fendt, case, john deere, claas etc.
    When other youtubers make these kind of a videos, they doesn't explain everything as good as you, so it would be very fun and educational if you would create this in a regular series

    A silly question, without the pedal mode and without the tms, if the engine is at 1000rpm at 5Km/h, what happens if I increase the engine speed to 2000rpm without touching the joystick, the tractor go to 10Km/h or does it continue at 5Km/h

    Enjoy these vids mate. Be interested to know how you mark your headlands - like in the ploughing video when you put your wheelings in - gps, step it out or just a good eye. Also when drilling, how do you mark your ins and outs and do you drill upto tramline or to edge of sprayer width on your headlands?

    Nice video Jonny! I had the pleasure of driving a 724 profi during harvest in 2017 - amazing bit of kit. Q: How do you judge the right speed for something? One thing is actually using the implement.. But doing the turns at the ends... Is it judgement calls on what you physically feel in the cab, a set speed or a recommended speed form the manufacturer of the implement?

    • @Jonny1388
      @Jonny1388  6 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      That’s a good question!
      It’s a bit of both really, the manufacturers will generally tell you what speed the implement has been designed to work at. But that only really applies in perfect working conditions, so it’s best to use that as a rough guide.
      The discs I’ve got on the fendt are designed to be used at 16kph but I very Rarely get up to that speed, it all depends on conditions in the field.
      It’s really down to the drivers judgement as to whether they are doing a good job or not.
      So with the discs I know I need to be chopping all the surface residue up, and incorporating that into the soil, while leaving a nice level, firm finish.
      If that’s not happening i will tweak my speed and the depth of the discs until I’ve got the desired result.
      I Hope that helps a little bit :)
      Thanks for a great question and thanks for watching!
      Take care :)

    Awesome video haven't seen anything as useful when explaining how this stuff works. I am used to deere so it was interesting to see the differences. If I am honest I'll stick with deers setup. Just seems simpler. But this setup does allow for a tremendous amount of customization.

    • @Jonny1388
      @Jonny1388  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! That’s high praise indeed, genuinely appreciate you taking the time to say that :)
      Yeah, the fendt setup is very complicated at first... it’s not something you can really just jump on and set off ploughing without it being explained first.
      The customisation is massive, you can nearly make any button do whatever you like. Once you’ve got everything dialled in, and programmed to how you like it, it gets a lot simpler.
      Deere’s cab layout has always been great, I agree with you on that!
      They are the number 1 tractor brand in most country’s for a good reason :)

    • @Jonny1388
      @Jonny1388  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi josh! Thanks for watching mate!!
      Id personally use pedal mode for carting silage, it’s what i do when I’m carting grain away from the combine, I feel like I’ve got a little bit more response for higher speed work.
      But some people might prefer stick mode. I’d have a bit of an experiment and see which one you prefer :)
