Cool build guys. I'm currently looking at building something similar, how do you find the angle of descent? Does it give you good speed or should it be less steep and a bit longer?? I'm thinking of building mine 3m high, what is the height of yours?
Thank you! We didn’t really do any math to find the angle. We sort of just eyeballed how long and tall we wanted it. The deck is 5ft tall (about 1.5 meters) and the ramp down is 11 feet long (around 3.35 meters). After we figured out the height and length of the deck and down ramp, we found the angle of the down ramp by putting the 11 foot long boards up against the top of the 5 foot deck then marked the angle and cut it. This rides pretty fast but if you are going to build yours 3 meters high then having the down ramp be 5.5-6 meters long should be good.
